Despite the critical weather, Mary was determined but what exactly?

Earlier, before the lockdown protocol was initated in the gymnasium, Mary wandered across the crowded gymnasium. She found her friends and went to them.

Yuno saw her and called out to her saying, "Mary!" Before she and her gal friends ran closer to her.

They then listened to the announcement from the headmaster regarding locking down the gymnasium and the school. Mary overheard some classmates talking about how the Kami siblings were dealing with the monster.

Suddenly, Mary receives a text message from anonymous that read "That 'Nunya' kid hasn't entered the gym. He's at the park near the school. Thought you'd be worried."

The signal for the lockdown went off and while her friends weren't paying attention, Mary made a run for the exit, only making it by a few centimetres. Without time to recover, she made a dash for the exit and she again made it out before the school dorms activation.

Now vulnerable to the enigma's attack, Mary bravely went to look for 'Nunya' and following the tip from Anonymous, she found him sitting on the bench, not seeming attentive or aware about the current situation.

Mary ran to him and shouted "What on Earth are you doing here?!"

'Nunya' tilted his head in Mary's direction and responded "What are you doing here?" He got up and stretched his arms and legs, he then asked "Shouldn't you be down at the bunker with everyone else?"

Mary answered "Yes, I am!" She then pointed at him, "And so should you!" 'Nunya' then grabs Mary's hands and drags her. She asks "What are you doing?"

He answered "I'm taking you to a transporter that will directly take you to the bunker..."

Mary freed her hand from 'Nunya' and asks him "And what about you?'

To which 'Nunya' answers "Does it matter?" Before he again grabbed her hands and escorted her to the transporter.

Along the way, Mary was left speechless to hear how little value 'Nunya' had for himself.

Meanwhile, Naoya and Luna continued to fight against the Spider Enigma who was making it difficult for them to land any of their attacks.

"Crap!" Shouted Naoya, "It's no use!"

"We have to try!" Said Luna to Naoya, "There has to be a weak point somewhere!"

Not giving up, Naoya and Luna continued facing against the Spider Enigma. And as the battle carried on, suddenly the Spider Enigma began to stop fighting with its eyes emitting a mixture light and dark blue. It spoke in an unrecognisable language but it did speak out a clear name. 'Mary'.

'Nunya' and Mary arrive at one of the transportation areas. He attempted to try and make Mary enter inside but due to her stubborness, she refused.

'Nunya' remarked "You realise that you are in a danger zone as well as a danger time which means you should be down there with your mates waiting for the guardians to deal with this mess!"

Mary remained quiet, staring intensely at 'Nunya'.

Annoyed, 'Nunya' says "Listen woman, you-"

But suddenly, he was interrupted by Mary who asked him "Who are you?"

Bewildered by that question, he answered "Nunya?"

To which Mary remarked "That's not your name, who are you really?" She crosses her arms and taps her index finger, waiting for an answer.

'Nunya' sighs and answers "Okay fine, you win..." He clears his throat and then continues "My name is Akira Am-"

Mary abruptly interrupts him again saying "I'm being serious!"

'Nunya' says "Like I said, my name is-" but as he is about to speak, the Spider Enigma appears and attempts to grab Mary. But 'Nunya' pushes her into the transporter, saying "WATCH OUT!" But doing so, he gets grabbed by the Spider Enigma and upon staring at him, it throws him aside.

The transporter is about to take Mary down below but the Spider Enigma prevents her and destroys the machine. It then grabs Mary.

She shouts "Let me go!" But the Spider Enigma does not  abide.

Suddenly, Naoya appears, battered and bruised up. He tries to save Mary but the Spider Enigma, with fast reflects, grabs Naoya with its long leg and brutally pounds him to the ground before it throws him next to 'Nunya' who appears fine and is lazying around.

'Nunya' looks at Naoya and asks "Yo what's up?"

Naoya grunts and answers "Nothing much..." while he tried to get up but he was too injured and therefore he struggled, he continued speaking to 'Nunya' saying to him "You know, it would be much easier if we HAD backup!"

The Spider Enigma is then given an order from someone above to kill Naoya to which it obliges. The Spider Enigma lifts one of its arms up, ready to deal the killing blow. Naoya looked up, too injured to try and defend himself.

Luna had fell behind unfortunately and had limited time to run in and save Naoya but she tried doing so, despite her dislocated ankle when she accidentally tried to dodge the Enigma's attack and instead tripped.

The Spider Enigma's leg was coming closer to Naoya and Luna was not going to make it. Smoke surrounded the area that they were in and as it cleared, it showed Naoya not killed.

The Spider Enigma looked at its leg and saw it was dripping black blood. It then realised that the leg that was carrying Mary is also dripping blood. It looked down and saw its legs fossilising.

Naoya, Luna and Mary, who was thankfully safe, looked in 'Nunyas' direction and saw him with a metal samurai sword in his hands while still lazying around.

He looks at Naoya and snarkily says "I've given you your backup, now if you don't mind..." 'Nunya' then yawns before continuing "... I'd like to rest, thank you very much."

'Nunya' then closed his eyes, wishing to nap but he's then woken up by Luna's punch in the head. He wakes up, annoyed, saying "Hey, what gives?!"

Luna answers "You can rest later, right now we need some lightning from out of you."

Mary, puzzled, says "Lightning?" And its there she realises, "Wait a second... You're Takehaya!" She said as she learned that she was talking to Takehaya Kami.

"I prefer you calling me Zukafu" said Zukafu.

Zukafu then stood up and lifting his sword, he chants something and then a bolt of lightning comes out from above and lands on the Spider Enigma, causing it to scream in pain.

After the bolt of lightning disappears, the Spider Enigma falls to the floor, defeated.

Zukafu then drops his sword onto the soil and walks to Naoya. He takes out something from his pocket and hands it to him. He then stands up and walks away, not wanting to speak.

Mary watches on, impressed and shocked by what Zukafu had done.
