Chapter 687: Full Power and Insane Endurance

Narrator: While the four heroes continue to fight Laura and Biff, Kasuma has infiltrated the base in an attempt to meet up with the crew members of the Stargazer.

Kasuma opens a set of double doors and walks into the massive room where the Stargazer rests in. She also finds the crewmembers standing around the room. There are also a lot of large plants that have fully restrained the dark divine beings and demons that were guarding the crew members.

Kasuma smiles with relief.

Kasuma: “You are all okay!”

Laila and Jeff run up to her.

Jeff: “Finally, one of you divine beings has come back!”

Laila: “Dusk had freed us from our imprisonment but he was caught before we could fly the ship away. We were being guarded again by their forces until these plants all sprouted and killed or restrained them.”

Kasuma: “That’s okay. Everything is in action now. We need to get to the ship and fly it out of harm’s way!”

Jeff and Laila nod in agreement.

Narrator: Soon after. In the Stargazer.

Jeff gets in the pilot seat of the ship. He grins with excitement.

Jeff: “All right! Let’s get out of here!”

He begins to power the ship and readies it to fly.

Laila: (Speaking with worry) “But we’re in an enclosed room! The ceiling isn’t opened!”

Jeff continues smiling eagerly.

Jeff: “Ha! That’s nothing to worry about! The Stargazer will blast right through the ceiling with no damage!”

Laila: “Are you sure!?”

Jeff: “You don’t get to be a ship that can fly through the galaxy if you can’t handle a building ceiling! Here we go!!”

The Stargazer’s thrusters activate as Jeff angles the ship upwards diagonally. The ship launches at that angle, and just as Jeff said, the Stargazer has no trouble blowing through the ceiling and out into the sky.

Jeff: “See!!? No problem at all!! Woo!!”

Laila: “Thank goddess that you were right!”

Narrator: Back to the battle of the four heroes against Laura and Biff.

All of them except Joe (who was knocked far back) all stare up and watch the Stargazer fly away.

Laura: (Speaking in shock and anger) “How could this happen!?”

Biff: “No one was able to stop them from flying the ship out!!?”

Emily smirks.

Emily: “Every single one of you underestimated our entire crew. Now, let us finish up here.”

Biff grinds his teeth in frustration.

Biff: “You don’t want to know what happens when you piss me off too much!”

Emily: “Let’s see you handle this!”

Emily lunges forward and punches Biff on the side of his face. The force of the punch is enough to knock him on his face despite his bulk. However, he still keeps his grip on the Shadow Sword.

Emily begins to attempt a follow-up attack but she is hit in the back by four lasers. The lasers lacerate her and stop her attempt at attacking. She looks behind herself to see Laura.

Laura: “You didn’t forget about me, did you?”

Suddenly, Kurt pushes himself off the ground and swipe kicks Laura on his way up. The kick trips her up and causes her to fall to the ground.

Kurt: “I’m not finished!”

With Emily distracted by Laura, Biff quickly gets up and rushes to try to slash Emily with the Shadow Sword. However, a purple crystal emerges from the ground and pierces Biff’s right arm which is holding the sword, preventing his attack.

Biff: “Gaaaaahhh!!”

Pearl: “I’m still here. I’m not even close to out.”

Kurt flies up into the sky and looks down at Laura, who is standing back up.

Kurt: (Thinking) “So, she is not limited to four lasers. Perhaps she just uses four and holds others back just in case?”

Laura looks up at him.

Laura: “Don’t think trying this again will work any better for you.”

Kurt begins flying down toward Laura with his Aura Drill attack forming.

Laura: “You fool.”

Laura shoots four lasers up at Kurt, but instead of flying straight down, he changes his direction to the side with great speed. Laura opens her eyes wider with surprise.

Kurt resumes flying straight down.

Kurt: (Thinking) “She is going to shoot at least one more at me! I have to anticipate when!!”

Kurt gets close as the tension increases between them on when Laura will shoot the fifth laser.

At the last moment, Kurt dodges to the side, anticipating that that was when she was going to shoot it. However, she did not shoot it. Now that Kurt has done his anticipatory dodge, she shoots him with the fifth laser. Kurt’s attack loses momentum but he is still able to able to pierce Laura just enough to do some damage before he has to end it from the pain.

Kurt: “I still got you!”

Meanwhile, Emily takes advantage of the crystal piercing Biff’s arm and rips the Shadow Sword away from his grasp. However, Biff breaks free from the crystal immediately after and hits Emily with three rapid punches that stop her from attacking.

Biff tries to resume his attacks but he is pierced in the back by multiple crystal shards, leaving him in more pain.

Biff turns around to face Pearl as he starts speaking.

Biff: “I want to kill the cocky woman first but you seem desperate to go first instead! Allow me to use maximum power!!”

Biff charges up his magic even more and it increases his muscle mass even more. The next step he takes is strong enough that it cracks the ground.

Pearl: “Woah…”

Meanwhile, Laura looks at the wound on her abdomen from Kurt’s attack.

Laura: “To think a slave would ever wound me… I am not happy.”

Laura charges up her magic even more and it results in more red lines floating in the air and, this time, they appear all around her.

Kurt: (Thinking) “Well, that’s not good…”

Biff: “This is going to be brutal for all of you.”

Thunderstorm clouds begin moving into the area. Rain starts falling and lightning begins striking the ground.

Laura and Biff look up at the storm clouds.

Laura: “Rain? This is a very rare occurrence here. Is this just a coincidence?”

Biff: “It matters not. It won’t stop us from crushing these rebellious slaves.”

Suddenly, powerful lightning bolts strike down from the clouds and hit both Laura and Biff, dealing a lot of damage to them.

Laura: “What are the odds!?”

Biff: *cough cough* “Something is fishy about this!”

???: “Did you forget me?”

The other heroes are happy as they see Joe walking back into battle. His Storm Lord Eyes are active. He has blood dripping from his mouth due to Biff’s earlier punch.

Laura: “Ah, yes, I did almost forget about you. You took us by surprise just now but it won’t happen again.”

Laura fires four lasers at Joe but he opens his eyes wider with a serious expression. Lightning strikes the four lasers and then immediately strikes Laura again right after, damaging her even more.

Joe: “Your lasers are fast. My lightning is even faster.”

Biff begins rushing toward Joe angrily. Every step he takes crunches the ground in.

Biff: “No lightning will stop me!!”

Joe focuses on Biff. Lightning does strike him but even though it damages him, it does not stop him. Joe loses focus for a moment because of the surprise but then he refocuses again. Just before Biff reaches him, ice particles fall from the sky and almost instantly encase Biff in a large block of ice. Due to his forward momentum, the large ice block with Biff encased falls over on the ground.

Joe: “Now, Emily!!”

Emily jumps at an arched angle toward the block of ice, intending to pound it with her fist. Just before her fist hits the block of ice, Emily takes four laser hits in the back. Kurt attempts to interfere with Laura’s attacks but she just uses even more lasers on him to put him in a lot of pain.

Emily still lands her punch down into the block of ice with less force. The ice block shatters and leaves small cut wounds all over Biff’s body. However, Biff easily stands back up and punches Emily hard enough to knock her back.

Biff: “I will not go down!!”

Joe: (Nervously Thinking) “Damn it. This guy’s endurance is insane.”

Narrator: The heroes are still unable to defeat Laura and Biff! At full power, they flex their might!
