Chapter 719: Desire to Enter the Alternate Universe Portal

Beyond The Stars

Chapter 719: Desire to Enter the Alternate Universe Portal

Having arrived to help Harmona, Zaydra and Keith join the fight against Tyrant Zeth and Tyrant Zaydra.

Sinisterly smiling, Tyrant Zaydra asks, “How did you lose an eye? I’m curious.”

Zaydra clenches her fists. “I lost it in the final war against Hell… Why do you care?”

“It’s not every day you meet an alternate universe version of yourself,” Tyrant Zaydra replies, still smiling sinisterly. “Though I am sad that an alternate version of myself has no ambition. You could have all the mortals in the world bow before you.”

Zaydra points to the sun gemstone on her forehead. “I have plenty of ambition! That’s why I am now the Deity of Suns!”

Tyrant Zaydra laughs, almost like a witch’s cackle. “And what does that get you exactly? Nothing!”

Zaydra charges magic into her right hand, forming a sun ball in it. “It gives me the power to do this!!”

She releases the sun ball from her hand, launching it straight for the two tyrants.

Tyrant Zeth opens his eyes wide. “Do not take a direct hit from that!”

He jumps away, but Tyrant Zaydra takes a direct hit, blasting her with sun-like flames, and burns parts of her skin.

“Why didn’t you dodge!?” Tyrant Zeth shouts.

With rage searing in Tyrant Zaydra’s eyes, she snarls in reply, “She’s a dead woman now!”

With the final flames finally dissipating from her skin, Tyrant Zaydra rushes toward Zaydra, charging her magic in the process. “She’s mine alone! You take the others out!”

Tyrant Zeth crosses his arms, frowning. “She’s letting her emotions dictate her actions. That’s not a good trait. She’s being influenced by her desire to be seen as the superior Zaydra. I get it, but she’s putting herself at risk.”

“Peek-a-boo!” a voice says from behind.

Tyrant Zeth opens his eyes wide and turns around as Keith, now in his demon form, lands a powerful punch directly against Tyrant Zeth’s face.

Grinning, Keith says, “How poorly observant of you to lose track of me.”

He immediately leads into his next attack, a swiping kick that hits Tyrant Zeth in the side of the head, knocking him off to the side.

Keith thrusts both his arms forward in the direction which Tyrant Zeth was knocked away. “Now! Demonic Burial Cannon!!”

A large red beam of powerful demonic energy shoots out toward Tyrant Zeth.

Tyrant Zeth wipes some blood from his lip and mutters, “Tragedy…”

Two diagonal blasts of magic energy blow out from the ground, both in front and behind Keith, each sandwiching him. Another geyser blasts out in front of Tyrant Zeth to deflect Keith’s Demonic Burial Cannon attack to the sky.

Keith falls to his knees, wounds opened all over his body. “That’s one hell of an attack you got there, Zeth’s evil counterpart…” he pants.

“My turn.” Tyrant Zeth whispers.

He launches himself directly toward Keith, reaching him in only a few seconds. He punches Keith twice, then kicks him to knock him back, and finally, launches a powerful meteor directly toward him. However, the meteor is blocked by another meteor that slams into it from the side, destroying both.

Harmona steps forward, her eyes burning with fury. “Keith is one of this universe’s Zeth’s friends. I won’t let you kill him.”

Tyrant Zeth laughs. “If this universe’s me is worth a damn, he wouldn’t need a guy like that to be his friend.”

Meanwhile, Zaydra and Tyrant Zaydra are colliding, each trying to rapidly punch the other. Neither gains an advantage in their battle. Zaydra tries to mix up her attack by performing a thrusting kick, but Tyrant Zaydra blocks the kick with her own right leg before using her left leg to kick Zaydra back.

“You’re strong, but not as strong as me!” Tyrant Zaydra shouts while charging her magic for another attack.

“Cease your attack!” A voice can be heard shouting from the top of the pyramid.

Everyone stops fighting to look up at the top of the pyramid. There, Rom stands, looking down at everyone with a confident smile.

“Zeth, Zaydra, you may come back now. The other targets have been apprehended.”

A purple portal forms behind Rom.

Tyrant Zeth smirks at Harmona. “It’s your lucky day. It looks like you get to live at least a bit longer.” He looks over at Tyrant Zaydra. “Let’s go.”

Tyrant Zaydra nods as she and Tyrant Zeth continuously jump back until they reach the top of the pyramid.

Harmona’s eyes tremble as she looks up at Rom. “Wait… Albino white skin… Black eyes with a singular white dot in each one… A gray robe covering most of his body… That man matches the description Zeth sent back in his Flora World report!”

Tyrant Zeth sinisterly smiles as he looks down at Harmona, Zaydra, Keith, and the angels in the area. “If your curiosity has piqued, then perhaps you should come into the portal.”

Rom, Tyrant Zeth, and Tyrant Zaydra all walk into the portal, but it stays open.

A few minutes later.

Harmona, Keith, Zaydra, and Harmona’s male advisor have gathered.

“I’m going in that portal,” Harmona states with determination.

“Then I will too,” Zaydra replies.

“Count me in as well,” Keith adds.

“What!? Are you all insane!?” The advisor shouts. “It’s obviously a trap!!”

“Even so, I must go,” Harmona declares. “I won’t be persuaded otherwise.”

“But who will we report to in your place!?” the advisor urgently asks.

“Have Zenfaro be Interim Light God until I get back.”

The advisor sighs. “If you say so. My Goddess… just be careful.”

Harmona nods and then looks at Zaydra and Keith. “Let’s go.”

The three of them run up to the pyramid and then continuously jump until they reach the top.

Grinning, Keith says, “I wonder how alcohol tastes in alternate universes.”

Zaydra shakes her head. “Can you not think about getting a drink even for this situation?”

“What? This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance.” Keith moans.

Zaydra shrugs. “Whatever, just don’t lose focus.”

Harmona gazes at the portal. “No more casual talk. We’re going in.”

She walks in while Zaydra and Keith follow behind her. Once they go in, the portal closes.

Standing in the distance, the male advisor remains quiet, just staring at the pyramid. A lower-ranked female angel flies down from above and lands next to him.

“You might be interested to know that we did some scans during that last battle and noticed the alternate universe counterparts of Zeth and Zaydra have different energy make-ups than anyone from this universe does,” the female angel says.

“So, if any other alternate universe beings show up, we will be able to tell immediately they’re not from here, even if they look exactly the same?” the male advisor asks.

The female angel nods.

“Hopefully, no one else shows up while our best combatants are not here,” the male advisor mutters.

Harmona, Zaydra, and Keith have entered an alternate universe portal! What awaits them there?
