Chapter 3:

Finding the three musketeers

Izanagi's soldiers and Izanami's warrior

There was no title or introduction, just lots of incoherent text. Now I can recognize the language. Latin, grandmother loved and often spoke the language and I know a few things too. Plenty of times the "Infernum" what's meaning hell, the "Da mihi potestatem" Give strength, "Malum" evil. Sounds like an exorcism, which would suit her, she believed in these spiritual things. There were signatures, letters, and 0:00 am at the very end of the book. I put the necklace back around my neck and closed the book. I sat above it for a while, going through thoughts and thinking about the next step. I stared at the letters in my notebook. í
S, G, A, E, A, H, W, A. It has to be a place. A city? I have to think about Japan I guess. A spiritual place where Grandma could go to. She traveled a lot when she was young, I opened a new page on my computer and rested my hand above the keyboard. No city comes to mind! What to do?
My phone shook. Haru.

"You're not coming tomorrow either? It's pretty boring without you. WHAT SHOULD I DO IN THE CLUB ROOM ALONE?"

"We're in the literature club. Read something!"

"We only signed up to stare at Abe-san. What a real beauty!"

Yes, she is. The most beautiful, nicest girl at school.

"Abe-san help me what to do?" I leaned my head on the table and stared at my books, which I was lazy to unpack. "Hey, what's this?"

There was a flyer stuck between 2 books. Tachibana's restaurant. Now that I'm thinking about it people name a lot of places after their last names. Maybe a city wouldn't be the solution? What if the meeting takes place in this city? And do I have to guess the name of the place? It's worth a try.
THANK YOU ABE-SAN! THANK YOU THANK YOU !!

0:02 am - Well, I'm late for today. I searched the internet all night but I didn't find anything. I walked through the city's map five times, but nothing. Wagahase, Sehagawa, Sahegawa, Wasagewa, Hase ...I reached for my phone and dialed Haru's number. After a long ring, he picked it up and answered in the middle of 2 yawns.

"Shuichi? Do you know what time it is? Just ..."

"Can you send me your essay about the town?"

"All right, I'll send you at the more ..."

"I need it now. Like immediately."

Haru sighed and I heard him get out of the bed and turn on his computer. He sat down and clicked a few times, then I got notified by my email. The message successfully arrived.

"Haru, thank you so much!"

"Fuck you!" and he ended the call.

Haru wrote things about the city in his essay. Curiosities, restaurants, ghost stories. One of the ghost stories about a cafeteria's name is Hasegawa. They say it closed because the guests reported strange things. They heard whispers, cries, and laughs, even when they were alone. Since then, the building has been empty and people are more likely to cross the other side of the road than to go in front of it. A real treasure for those who love paranormal things. Haru, next time I'll pay for your food, I swear!

---------------

23:45 - I thought I'd come here first to investigate the place.

"This will be it, right?"

There is no lamp, I can barely see anything, but I don’t want to use any other light that could arouse the neighbors' suspicions. "Hasegawa" was still written on the cafeteria's wall. I found the doorknob, - which to my greatest surprise worked, and I entered the store. It was empty just the tables and chairs were there. This is where the retiree group would meet? I don't think so, but then what is here? I waited a few minutes, but nothing happened. There must be something I didn’t notice. I scanned the walls like in the movies, but nothing. I looked around again. Is that a handle there? I opened it, it's another room that was probably used by the workers. The first thing I noticed was a rug. I kicked it further and saw a door beneath it that could lead to the basement."And I still thought that was all ..."
The lamp was burning in the basement and sounds filtered through the wall.

"Next time you should pay more attention!"

"Me? I saved your life!"

"I didn't need your help."

"Hey, guys, what if we calm down and let's talk about it properly! Who wants some tea?"

"Naomi don't be so naive."

"But ..."

"Someone's here." silent and movement "Don't hide!"

I shuddered and held my breath. How do they know I'm here? I didn't do anything! Then how? I closed my eyes at the sound of footsteps. I don’t know what sect it is, but I don’t want to die yet!
