Chapter 1

Yuta sat at the table shoveling more and more ice cream into his mouth, “So Yuta,” his mother said to him from across the table,

“Yeah, what’s up?”

“What’s your plan now that you’ve finished High School?”

“Get a job or something and save for college, I dunno.” He said as he swallowed his mouthful of ice cream, “Did you have something in mind?”

“Not really,” she said with a smile, “Hey, this is the first time you’ve had a girlfriend correct?”

“SHIT!!! HOW DID SHE FIND OUT?!?!?!!!!” Yuta screams internally, “Well Uh….yeah….”

“I see, how come I haven’t met her?”

“O-Oh….did you want too?”

“I think it would be nice. What’s her name and what does she look like?”

“Oh, uh, her name is Hachimitsu and she’s uh…” he then paused as images and scenes from Attack on Titan played in his head, only he replaced all the titans with Hachimitsu, “She’s...really pretty.”

“That’s nice, what’s she like?”

“Oh...uh, she’s kind of shy. But once you get to know her she opens up.”

“I see, and is her family nice?”

“Oh…” He then paused as in the back of his mind the theme song for Godzilla played as Gallantia’s head appeared above several skyscrapers followed by a monstrous roar. “....they’re nice.”

“So, you’ve met her family, and she hasn’t met me yet?”

“She never asked,”

“Well sometimes you need to take some initiative.”

“I see…” He sighed as he put more ice cream into his mouth, “Oh, what about if she comes over tonight for dinner or something?”

“That’d be nice, however I do have to work tonight so I might have to leave after a while.”

“Oh, that’s fine, I can take Hachimitsu home afterwards.”

“Alright, sounds like a deal.”

“Yeah, totally,” Yuta smiled as he began to finish his bowl of ice cream. His eyes suddenly widened and he inhaled sharply, “SHIT!!!! I GOTTA HIDE ALL MY OTAKU SHIT!!!!” He then got up and ran to his room, around his room were shelves and cabinets stocked full of various anime figures, posters, and other collectibles. In one corner was Tokusatsu merchandise like Garo, Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Godzilla and more, in another corner was mostly One Piece and throughout the rest of the room was various girls from various romance and Ecchi anime. He panicked as he looked around for something to put all this stuff in. He jumped with a scream as his text tone went off. He ran to his phone and saw a text from Hachimitsu.

Hachimitsu: Hiya! ( ◠‿◠ )

Yuta: Hey! What’s up?!

Hachimitsu: Not much! I’ve got some good news!!! I’ve got a job now!!!

Yuta: A job? Really? Where at?

Hachimitsu: I work at a daycare! (^o^)

Yuta: A daycare??? Like little kids???

Hachimitsu: Yeah!

Yuta: That’s nice, congratulations!

Hachimitsu: Thanks! (*^▽^*)

Yuta: Can I ask you something?

Hachimitsu: Sure!

Yuta: Would you like to come over to my place tonight for dinner?

Yuta: My mom wants to meet you.

Hachimitsu: Tonight? Yeah, I can come over! That sounds like fun! (๑>◡<๑)

Yuta: Okay, I’ll see you tonight then?

Hachimitsu: Yeah...I guess

Yuta: You guess?

Hachimitsu: Well, I texted because I wanted to spend the day with you.

Yuta looked around his bedroom, he needed to get all of this put away, but he didn’t want to make Hachimitsu feel bad.

Yuta: What did you have in mind?

Hachimitsu: I wanted to go to the Amusement Park

Yuta: Amusement Park? But don’t you hate crowds?

Hachimitsu: I do…

Hachimitsu: But now that I’ve got a strong and handsome boyfriend I feel a bit more confident about myself! (*^▽^*)

Yuta swallowed lightly as a blush spread across his face,

Yuta: Oh...uh...thanks

Yuta: I suppose we could go to the Amusement Park!

Hachimitsu: Yay!! ( ◠‿◠ )

Yuta: I’ll meet you down there as soon as possible! I need to put some things away in my room first!

Hachimitsu: Okay! I’ll be waiting!

Hachimitsu: I love you! (^з^)-☆

Yuta grit his teeth as his eye twitched. What was stopping him from typing it back?! His thumbs hovered over the keys to make a response but they weren’t doing their jobs! “Come on, say it back you coward…!!!” Yuta said to himself,

Hachimitsu: Oh! By the way! I have something for you!

Yuta have a sigh of relief before he responded,

Yuta: What is it?

Hachimitsu: I’ll show you when you get to the Amusement Park!

Hachimitsu: But...I will tell you, that it’s a belated Valentine’s Day gift.

Yuta: Valentine’s Day??? That was back in February...you didn’t have to get me anything.

Hachimitsu: I wanted too! I’m sorry it’s so late! They didn’t have any left when I went to to the store and they barely got some back in stock (＞人＜;)

Yuta: Okay, thanks Honey.

Hachimitsu: Of course! （≧∇≦）

Hachimitsu: I’ll leave you to finish your room now!

Yuta then sighed and put his phone away. He looked around the room before he sighed. At lightning fast speeds, or at least what Yuta thought was lighting fast, he threw blankets and sheets over everything before he dashed to the living room, “Hey! I’m going out!” He said to his mother, “Hachimitsu wants to hang out at the Amusement Park for a bit!”

“Okay, don’t die.” She said not looking up from her coffee and newspaper. Yuta smiled before he put his shoes on and dashed out the door.
