Chapter 2

Yuta came to the Amusement Park to see Hachimitsu at the front gate. He smiled and ran over to her, “Honey!”

“Y-Yuta-Kun!” Hachimitsu said as she turned to him with a soft smile and a blush. Yuta smiled at her,

“Sorry I’m a bit late! The train came in a little late!”

“Y-You’re fine.” She reached into the pocket of her skirt and pulled out a cream colored envelope, “Here you go.”

“Oh! Thanks!” He took the envelope and opened it and he took out a small stuffed Tanuki with a thin thread on its head, “Wow! This is pretty cool!”

“Y-You th-think so?” She said as she gave a beaming smile, “It’s a charm for your phone, look,” she pulled out her phone and showed him the charm on her phone. It was similar to his only the stuffed animal was a cat,

“Wow, that’s neat!” He smiled and took out his phone and put the charm on it, “I love it, thanks so much!”

“You’re welcome.” She said as she put her phone away,

“So what do you want to do first?”

“W-Well,” she rubbed the back of her neck, “I-I can’t fit on most of the rides like the roller coaster or log ride or anything...b-but, I can do the other things like the games and the haunted house and the Ferris Wheel.”

“That sounds like fun,” Yuta said, “Come on, let’s go!” He took her hand and the two went into the park. “Honey,” Yuta said as they walked around the park, “I’m sorry I didn’t say it back.”

“What do you mean?”

“I love you….” He said, “When you first said it, it kind of shocked me. I’m also sorry I didn’t say it back when you texted me...or even sooner and earlier on in our relationship.”

“O-Oh, you’re fine.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah, I know boys are shy about their feelings.”

“Oh...I’m not shy, I mean I loved you before, I just didn’t know how to say it…”

“You’re fine, don’t worry about it.”

“Okay,” he smiled, “I’m really glad that you’re my girlfriend.” Hachimitsu smiled as blush spread across her face,

“I’m glad too.”

“So, why’d you decide to work at a Daycare?”

“Well, it was either a daycare, a chocolate shop, or a maid cafe.”

“M-Maid Cafe….?!” Yuta thought, he then imagined Hachimitsu in an adorable maid outfit.

“Hello Master Yuta~!” She said with a wink, Yuta gave a bit of a perverted grin.

“Wow, that would be nice.” Yuta said to himself,

“What would be nice?” Hachimitsu asked,

“Hm?” He turned to her, his eyes widened and blush spread across his face, “O-Oh! N-Nothing! I’m just thinking out loud about dinner tonight!”

“Oh yeah, what’s your mom going to make?”

“I’m not sure, but whatever it is, it will be nice. My mom always makes some of the best homemade food. I really like her Barbecue!”

“Oh really? She does barbecue?”

“Yeah, so we often have lots of Korean Barbecue.”

“I didn’t know you were half-Korean.”

“She’s actually Hispanic she just really likes Korean food! It’s something not a lot of people know about me!”

“Oh! Where did she learn Japanese?”

“She learned some in her home country, she then came to Japan for college and eventually met and fell in love with my dad.”

“That’s nice. What’s your dad like?”

“Oh...uh...I don’t know,” Yuta said, “He either left or died before I was born. I know my mom cared about him a lot, as she often cries when she thinks about him, she says I look like him. “

“I’m sorry Yuta,”

“It’s fine, I’m not sure how my life would be different if I knew him. I would’ve fallen in love with anime, and gone to school, and I would’ve eventually met you.”

“Maybe, or maybe it could’ve been different.”

“Yeah, maybe…”

“Don’t be so sad,” she said before she looked around, “Come on, let’s go play that game.” Yuta turned to see a ring toss game with lots of stuffed animals large and small as prizes.

“Okay,”

“So um...your mom is Hispanic so, do you know Spani-“ Before she could finish Yuta smiled and took Hachimitsu’s hand as they walked over to the game with her. Hachimitsu blushed as she looked over at him. “Sp-Spanish….?” She swallowed lightly as she gave a soft smile, “H-He’s holding my hand….!” She thought as more blush spread across her face. She imagined Yuta turning to her and seeing him as much taller than her and extremely attractive almost as if he were from a dating simulator game. As he turned to her he wrapped his arms around her and grazed her cheek with his fingers,

“Daijōka?” He said to her with his voice sounding absolutely heavenly. Hachimitsu began to hyperventilate as her eyes turned to hearts and blush filled her face, followed by steam coming out her ears. “Anata wa hanabi no yō ni akarukute utsukushīdesu, Hachi,” he traces a heart shape on her cheek, “Mi,” he then ran his finger along her jawline before he brought to his lips, “Tsu.” He then pointed to her as he blew a kiss and a heart shape flew to the center of her forehead.

“K-Kiss me…!”

“Hai,” he then leaned in to kiss her and Hachimitsu closed her eyes and prepared to him.

“Honey,” Yuta said tugging on her hand, “Hey, Honey, are you okay?” Hachimitsu then opened her eyes and looked to him, she jumped and moved a way from him a few inches, “Your face looks red, should we go home.”

“N-No! I-I-I’m fine!!!”

“Okay,” he smiled and turned to the game. He took some money out of his back pocket and handed it to the man behind the counter. Yuta looked around at the different prizes, “Hey, I’ll see if I can get you that one!” Yuta said pointing to a large stuffed penguin. Yuta smiled as he was then handed the rings, “Alright! Let’s do this!” Yuta tosses the first ring and it missed one of the bottles, Yuta gave a soft growl as he grabbed and tossed the second ring. Miss. “D-Damn it…” He said softly as his eye twitched, he grabbed the third and final ring and tossed it causing to land on a bottle, “Alright!” Yuta said, Hachimitsu gave a soft giggle with a smile. The man at the game then handed Yuta his prize, which was Bun Panda plush. Yuta sighed, “Oh well,” he then turned to Hachimitsu and handed it to her, “I’m sorry I couldn’t get the penguin.”

“N-No, this is perfect.” Hachimitsu said taking the plush with a smile, “I love it.” Hachimitsu really didn’t care if he couldn’t get her the penguin. The thought of even getting her a prize was worth more to her than Yuta could imagine.

“Oh, did you want to try the haunted house you said?”

“Yeah, let’s go do that.” Yuta took Hachimitsu’s hand again and the two went to the haunted house attraction. Yuta took a deep breath.

“I know you’ll be scared, but I want you to know none of it’s real. So if you need to, and since I’m your loyal and loving boyfriend, you’re more than welcome to hold my hand!” He then held out his hand to her, he turned to see that she was gone. His eyes widened and he looked around, suddenly the door opened and Hachimitsu poked her head out.

“Are you coming or not?”

“Huh?!” Yuta looked to her, “Y-Yeah! I’m coming!” He then walked over to the door and walked inside. As they walked around inside Hachimitsu looked around to everything in awe, meanwhile Yuta stayed rather close to her not wanting to be separated from her. Suddenly a door in the hall fell down and some zombies came out. Hachimitsu gave a bit of a delighted scream while Yuta’s scream was more from actual fear. As soon as the couple left the haunted house and came to the gift shop at the end Yuta seemed to be very physically, mentally, and emotionally drained. How was any of that considered entertainment?! Who the hell gets scared for fun?!

“Oh! Look!” Hachimitsu walked over to a shelf before she came back to Yuta, she held something in her hands but didn’t let him see it, “You like this one right?” She then shoved a rubber zombie head into his face and squeezed on it causing the eyes and tongue to pop out, “BLEH!!!” Chills ran up Yuta’s body as his eyes widened and he inhaled sharply rather afraid. Hachimitsu gave a soft giggle, “You’re pretty cute when you get scared Yuta-Kun.” She said with a smile, she went over to the counter and bought the zombie head before she then brought it back to him, “Here, I want you to have this.”

“O-O-O-Okay…..” He said holding up his hands letting her drop the small toy into his palms. Hachimitsu smiled,

“Come on scaredy-cat, let’s go ride the Ferris Wheel.” The two made their way to the Ferris Wheel and eventually got into one of the carriers and the wheel started to move. Hachimitsu sighed as she leaned back and looked out the window. Yuta had fully calmed down from the horror attraction and now his attention was on the toy zombie head. He squeezed it over and over again before he looked to Hachimitsu.

“Hey, can I ask you something?”

“Of course,” Hachimitsu said looking to him,

“If you had never fought Minori, and Hank still gave you a wish, what would you wish for?”

“Oh, well, that’s easy.” She smiled, “I’d wish to be a normal girl. I really don’t like being as tall as I am, if you stack the fact that I’m an alien on top of that it makes me even more of a freak.”

“I don’t think you’re a freak…”

“Yeah…but I do….” She sighed as her eyes softened, “I want to be able to do normal things, especially normal couple things with you.”

“Going to an Amusement Park is normal.”

“No...I mean other normal things…”

“Like what?”

She blushed before she looked away, “Well um….” she then turned to him before she moved and sat above his lap and looked into his eyes. Yuta blushed heavily, “I want to be able to sit on your lap like this and not crush you…”

“You can sit on me now if you want….I mean I’m sure I’ll be fine.”

“I don’t know…”

“If you want to them you can,”

“Oh...um….okay,” she then slowly sat on his lap.

“Wow….she’s actually a lot lighter than I thought she would be...but she’s still really heavy….but I can bear it.” He thought to himself as he sat down, “It’s not that bad,” he said totally not fine, “I mean you are heavy, but you’re not crushing me.”

“O-Oh...okay…” She said with a heavy blush before she looked away. Yuta then put the zombie toy in his pocket before he placed his hands on her hips. She gasped softly before she looked back to him,

“Is...this better…?”

“Y-Yeah…” she said softly as she wrapped her arms around his neck. “Yuta…” She then closed her eyes and kissed him rather gently. Yuta shut his eyes and kissed her in return. Hachimitsu then pressed her tongue gently against his bottom lip and Yuta did the same thing in return before the tips of their tongues then accidentally touched. Hachimitsu gave a soft moan before she pulled away from him with a heavy blush, “I-I’m sorry…! I-I-I didn’t mean to-“

“It’s fine…” Yuta said, “I-“

“Yuta…” she said softly, “I…um...well I…”

“You what…?”

“Back at the end of school….when Minori showed up….he told me that you wanted to have sex with him….he even showed me the memory….”

“Oh….” Yuta said, “Honey I-“

“You wouldn’t really cheat on me...right?” She asked as tears began to swell in her eyes, “I get that I don’t have the height of a normal girl but...I really do love you…” She said as tears started to run down her face, “Do you want to break up with me….?”

“No,” he said, “Why would I break up with you?” He then sighed, “Listen….I’d never cheat on you, I was just really stupid...hell, even now I’m an idiot.” He sighed as he leaned forward as Hachimitsu then moved and sat beside him, “I don’t know...I’ve never had a girlfriend before….I mean...I used to really like Hayase, but she never liked me back. I eventually got into romance anime and isekai. I always thought, if I had one girlfriend then I would eventually have an entire harem.” He rubbed the back of his neck, “That has always comforted me because...it distracted me from knowing how lonely I was. I really didn’t have any friends, and Hayase and I barely talk. I guess I just didn’t want to be alone anymore.”

He then smiled as tears came to his eyes, he then looked to her as the tears ran down his face, “But now, I’ve got you. I’m not alone anymore and I have you to thank for that. I went from having no friends to suddenly a girlfriend in less than a day. I’d never want anyone other than you. I’m sorry I worried you with Minori,” he then wiped his face, “To be fair, I didn’t know he was actually a guy, so technically it doesn’t count as cheating.” Hachimitsu gave a soft giggle before she then wrapped her arms around him.

“I love you.”

“I know,” Yuta said wrapping his arms around her in return, “I love you too.”
