The Eye of the Storm

“It’s time - if I wait any longer, then it won’t be nearly as fun!”

Riku said as he smiled deviously, all the while his Assault Trolls hacked and battered the main doors to Kimi’s fortress and armory with their darkly enchanted battering ram - and his Common Folk with dark venom running through them, kept attacking the walls despite the protruding, expertly placed enchanted sword blades of the same design as Kimi’s, as well as the enchanted most of flames.

With a slashing motion, Riku made good on his statement and activated his ultimate Sorcerers and Slayers card:

Spawn of the Darkness with the Power of the Vile - Effect: Allows the Sorcerer King to be gradually corrupted to the point of blind wrath steeped in pure evil - with an evolving form that activates when a certain amount of damage is taken by the Sorcerer King.

“COMPLETE AND TOTAL - EVIL POWER!”

Riku cheered to himself as an addition aura of darkness appeared around him, forming into wings of dark energy, as well as turning his eyes black and having horns and curved fangs like that of an Oni appearing on him. His voice deepened as he laughed to himself, flying and hovering above his forces, pointing at Kimi and smiling ominously. 

Kimi looked around at her forces of Common Folk who were desperately preparing for any of Riku’s dark forces to ascend the defensive walls somehow. As she looked back at the armory and the forge, she suddenly got an idea! 

“Hold the line here! I’m going to the armory.”

Kimi ordered with as much confidence and bravery as she could muster, nodding to her Common Folk, who nodded in return and held their defensive positions on the wall. As soon as Kimi Mae her way down the stone steps behind the wall, she looked at her formation of Common Folk who all stood behind the main doors, their identical swords at the ready, while a handful of Common Folk worked desperately in the armory and in the forge. 

“Go! Arm yourselves and take up defensive positions - as I’m going to assume the additional title of Armorer!”

Kimi said as they nodded to her and scattered to the positions, while Kimi pulls out a Sorcerers and Slayers card that she knew would be useful while she still had the opportunity to use it:

Heart of Forge and Flame - Effect: Allows the Slayer Queen both temporary immunity from flame damage, and increased speed when forging weapons.

As she laid her sword down on the conveyor belt that she’d have to manually operate afterwards to finish the process - she thought about how Kana had merged her powers as a Sorceress Queen with her own as a Slayer Queen! And so, in an act of desperation, she picked up a smithing hammer, and looked at it. 

“May the power of our and the power of fire and frost merge into the power of love!”

Kimi announced - feeling compelled to say these words as the smithing hammer than glowed pink and white, when when she struck her sword - it glowed pink and white, an aura forming around it of these colors - these magical energies!

“I love you!”

Kimi hears emanate from her enchanted sword in Kana’s words - the magical energy she’d placed onto the sword having begun to form into it! Now, all she had to do was place her sword in the flames of the forge briefly - to spoof’s within her sword, the power of love. 

“I love you too, Kana!”

Kimi said as tears rolled down her cheeks. She knew that it wasn’t actually Kana, but the magical essence that Kana had imbued in her before she returned back to the other world. With that, she held her sword and thrust it into the flames of the forge briefly before pulling it out, the flames themselves turning pink and white as well when her blade touched them.

As Kimi pulled her sword out, the aura had been forged into the uniquely shaped blade, forming an almost oil-like shine of pink and white within it. Kimi was nos truly ready to finish this fight!

“CCCRRRRAAAASSHHH!”

Was the sound of the main doors to the fortress and armory giving way was the Assault Trolls barged in, their special axes making Kimi’s desperately and ferociously fighting Common Folk turn into flashes of light before her eyes! Thinking quickly, Kimi grabbed one of the roughly hourglass-shaped shields from an armory rack, as well as two more Sorcerers and Slayers cards:

Winter’s Wrath - Effect: Allows the Slayer Queen to call forth a storm of relentless snow and a deluge of sharpened spikes and shards of ice temporarily.

Ice Road - Effect: Allows the Slayer Queen to freeze any part of the ground temporarily.

“Clear a path! Watch out!”

Kimi yelled as she activated the two cards, creating a wide path of ice in front of her as she threw the shield down - and riding it like a snowboard disk the slick path, she rode it - jumping up and landing a powerful scissor kick on two Assault Trolls before turning them into flashes of light with two swift slashes of her sword!

Kimi’s Common Folk continued to fight against the onslaught of those under Riku as they poured through the main doors, while being careful to heed Kimi’s warning. All the while, Kimi used her second card’s powers to unleash a storm of ice spikes and biting snow at Riku’s forces as they turned into rapid flashes of light.

Kimi then continued to turn more and more of the ground into ice as she used the slickness and slopes in it to use the shield as a snowboard and whip around the confined battlefield - landing scissor kicks and slashes as she did, with the flashes of light emerging in greater numbers out of Riku’s forces than hers! 

Kimi knew that she’d have ti take on more of his Common Folk and the remaining Assault Trolls before she could face Riku himself!
