Chapter 51:
Rockstar Isekai: fighting against Silence
Natsuo was again crushed to the ground by an even stronger gravity force.
Famine kicked him on his stomach out of spite.
Natsuo didn’t feel the blow very strongly thanks to RESISTANCE, but it was frustrating that he couldn’t reply.
The Vassal kicked him again to humiliate him.
Olive brought a hand to her mouth, about to cry. She couldn’t tolerate seeing Natsuo being treated so badly, but she couldn’t do anything to help him. If she attacked Famine, she would have suffered all the damages. She was completely useless in that situation.
Natsuo laughed mixed with a cough.
“Is it funny to hit me while I can’t defend myself?” he asked, mocking the Vassal.
Famine trampled on his head to shut him up.
Gregory gritted his teeth, extremely angry. He leapt forward and punched Famine in his face.
Since the music was on the speakers, he also benefited from the strength boost. The blow was so strong that the Vassal was pushed back a long way. He landed on the ground on one knee and crawled back, raising a cloud of dust.
The gravity on Natsuo expired and he got back up.
“Wow, did you see my punch? It was incredible!” exclaimed Gregory.
“Yeah.” Natsuo turned to the Vassal. “Now, let’s beat him up.”
Gregory grinned. “Gladly.”
Natsuo cracked his knuckles, while Gregory stretched his bicep. They charged against the black knight, who didn’t have a way to defend himself from them.
Tristan observed as the Vassal was being beaten by Natsuo and Gregory. They were surely weakening him, but it wasn’t enough to win.
Suddenly, he thought of something. He wasn’t really sure of his idea, but he decided to try it anyway: the members counted on him.
He pointed his rod to the Vassal and froze the arm with which he held the scale.
Tristan felt the burning of ice on his own arm and started trembling, but he resisted. The ice spread through the entire Vassal’s arm and reached the scale, completely enveloping it.
As soon as the scale was covered in ice, Tristan felt his arm normal again.
His eyes glistened: it worked!
He made the ice shatter and Famine was left without an arm and the scale.
“Kill him now! He can’t use his power!” he exclaimed.
Gregory clasped his hands and molten metal twirled around Famine’s neck.
The Vassal immediately regenerated his arm and created a new scale right in time.
Natsuo realised what was going to happen and his eyes widened. He kicked Famine the stronger he could and pushed him away before Gregory’s thorns could behead him.
The metal thorns hit the air and Gregory didn’t get any damage.
Natsuo let out a sigh of relief.
“Thank you, you saved me” said Gregory.
“No problem, I’m happy that you’re still with us.”
Famine used gravity again, this time in an area large enough to take them all. Everyone was crushed to the ground.
“We have to take the scales out of his hand so he can’t use his powers anymore!” explained Tristan.
“Understood!” replied Beatrice.
To everyone’s surprise, she got up. Actually, she never was in the area affected by gravity: before the Vassal could use his power, she calculated the radius of the territory it would have covered to get them all and get out of it. It was just a guess, but she got it right.
Then, she faked to fall on the ground to not let the Vassal notice.
Beatrice charged an incandescent arrow and shot it.
Natsuo crawled on the ground, fighting against gravity to reach his scythe.
Beatrice’s dart hit the scale’s chain and melted it.
The scale fell from the Vassal’s hand and everyone was freed by gravity.
“Natsuo!” Beatrice exclaimed.
Natsuo grabbed his scythe and put on a song with SPEED. He flashed toward Famine and charged a blow.
The Vassal was already recreating his scale, but the scythe’s blade penetrated his neck before he could finish.
Natsuo pushed the scythe stronger and finally beheaded the black knight.
Famine’s body transformed into black dust that was blown away by a gust of wind.
Beatrice immediately screamed with joy and ran toward Natsuo.
“We made it!” she exclaimed.
Natsuo smiled and patted her head.
“Yeah, thank you for your help.”
Beatrice blushed, trying not to scream for that physical contact.
Oh dear, Natsuo… You don’t know what you’re doing to me. She thought.
Olive reached them and noticed that Beatrice was containing herself.
“Relax, he just touched your head” she chuckled.
“You don’t understand!” Beatrice complained.
The other two reached them too.
“I had so much fun punching that Vassal!” exclaimed Gregory.
“I was scared to death, luckily it’s over” said Tristan.
Gregory hugged him with an arm and rubbed his head with his fist.
“Good job, Tristan! You understood how we could defeat him!”
Tristan dropped dead weight on Gregory.
“I just had a stroke of luck” he replied.
Gregory laughed and let him go.
Beatrice approached him and stood on tiptoe to reach his head.
“You did a good job!” she said and patted his head.
Tristan felt his cheeks warming up.
“Thank you… You too” he replied.
Everyone stared blankly at him. Why did he thank her instead of denying her compliment, as he always did?
Beatrice lowered her gaze, blushing.
“Thank you, it’s all thanks to you!”
Olive approached Natsuo’s ear.
“Isn’t it obvious?” she whispered.
“Yeah” Natsuo replied.
He smiled and tapped on Beatrice’s shoulder.
“Beatrice, I have good news for you” he said.
Beatrice looked at him, full of expectation.
“You worked hard these days and you improved a lot with the keyboards, so would you like to officially join Rockstar Isekai?” he asked.
Beatrice’s eyes sparkled with joy.
“Yes, of course!” she replied.
Natsuo smiled and added her as a new member in the system.
“I still can’t believe it!” she exclaimed, full of joy.
Tristan slightly smiled.
“I’m glad you’re one of us” he said.
Beatrice nodded happily.
“I can’t wait for our first performance together!”
