Orcs

I woke up and my energy was full. I decided to give up on the cat cafe and go try to train my magic. I wanted to try if I could use my shadow magic to absorb energy around me, because if I can do that, energy should never be a problem, ever.

I tried to absorb energy from a flower since it will most likely have glucose that can maybe converted to energy. I tried stopping time to waste a bit of my energy. I then tried to absorb the energy, but no luck, it didn’t work.

This time, I want to see if I can reduce the energy used for stopping time. I went back to the inn to stop time there since it would be safer for me incase I fainted or something.

I tried for about 10 times, and then I decided to just go back to sleep for a bit to get my energy back. I woke up, it was in the middle of the night, I tried to go back to sleep but, I couldn’t. Well, since I am up anyways, I called for Arthur. Arthur replied “Yes, what could I assist you in?” I then wondered, what does outside the town look like at night. Is there any creatures?, any special creatures, herbs that can only bloom at night?

I went outside the town, and noticed my view looked different in the night. I asked Arthur if she had night vision on for me. She said no, I can barely see anything, do you need me to turn it on? I replied with “No, I can see in the dark somehow,” She then replied “It might be because of your magic being shadow, so it is mostly natural if you can see in the dark,”

I found a place where the moonlight was shining perfectly. It was on top of a rock, the rock seemed comfortable somehow. As always, I also find knives scattered around here and there. I heard a noise coming from somewhere. It was weird because I can’t tell where it’s coming from. I tried looking for the source of the sound.

Well I didn’t want to get into any fight so I just left. And as soon as I said that, luck as to be on the other side of the world because I got ambushed by not 3 this time, no, it has to be 8 of them, 8 Orcs. I didn’t want to waste time, I just stopped time, and just punched 5 of them, the other 2 Orcs were out of my shadow magic range.

Something is weird about the Orcs, they have armor, well what seems to be armor. They have to be watching that time, the female knight and I were fighting the other Orcs. The other 2 Orcs didn’t have armor, so they are keeping their range. I surprised the 5 Orcs that got hit by my Shadow magic, barely survived.

Then all 8 Orcs decided to go around and rush towards me from 8 directions. Smart for an Orc, but I don’t think they know my ability is to stop time. Well, my energy is high, wait, high? Didn’t I stop time earlier, I noticed, I can absorb energy from the moonlight. Like plants absorbing sunlight, I can absorb moonlight. Well I didn’t get much energy instantly, seems like I got energy little by little.

I tried to stop time, and hit them, but I can only hit 5 of them during the 5 seconds. The other 3 Orcs decided to pounce me. I instantly used shadow magic to block on top of me. Right after that, the other 5 Orcs got up and went straight for me from the sides. They had formation, I thought, they one hundred percent have a leader. Then I looked at all the Orcs and noticed that one of the Orcs have a special looking armor from the rest. It had a strike of gold on the chestplate.

I tried to move, but I was cornered from above and the sides. I tried stopping time but I couldn’t since I didn’t have enough energy to stop time. When it came to it, I tried to used all 5 shadow to push the 3 Orcs above away, immediately followed by with a swing around with all 5 shadow arm. It only somewhat managed to get me some distance. I just wanted to finish this fight as soon as possible.

I fought with 3 magic arms this time, since I didn’t want to use too much energy. All it did to those Orcs was just keep them in place for a second. I didn’t know fighting Orcs can be so difficult. I took out all the shadow magic all at once, then I found an odd difference than before. I then see that I had six shadow magic arms instead. Right after that, the six arms came together and made a humanoid figure. I heard a voice, it isn’t Arthur but, it said “Magic evolved, max level reached,”

It looked like a humanoid figure with just shadow covering it, or more of just a shadow taking form of a humanoid figure. I still had the ability to Stop Time. I tried stopping time, while counting how long time has passed in Stopped Time, I was using Level 5 of my magic shadow to punch all the Orcs. It took 6 seconds until time then resumed. The speed to Level 5 is much more slow but it has more strength and defense compared to previous level.

I managed to deal with the Orcs soon after. It seemed that, Level 5 magic doesn’t take much energy for stopping time, the only problem is using Level 5. I just went back to the inn to rest so I can figure this out tomorrow since it would be more safe in the morning.
