Chapter 731: The Ultimate Mutant Zombie Attacks

Back in the Tyrant Alternate Universe.

Emily, Joe, Kurt, Laila, Pearl, Lavana, Herbie, and Dusk are walking through creepy halls at the top of the execution chamber.

“I must say, walking through these halls reminds me of back in the day when we went through the Mansion of Horrors,” Emily says.

“Lady Sasha did once mention that place to us,” Dusk replies.

“Daykona and Sandy really did everything to bring out an actual horror feel in that place,” Kurt adds.

“Yeah, but it was all a farce,” Joe remarks. “It was all one big game by Sandy that Daykona just took advantage of.”

Laila chuckles. “I know you’re all some kind of divine being, but it feels weird to hear you talk about a particular personal experience from something that happened many millennia before I was born.”

“Yeah, I guess that time gap makes the old Great Chaos for our generation look tiny in comparison,” Joe says.

“Let’s keep focus,” Pearl suggests. “This place is very dangerous. It certainly isn’t a game.”

Suddenly, they hear rumbling, faint, but very noticeable.

The heroes all stop in place, glancing around.

“What was that?” Herbie asks.

“It’s probably a rodent scurrying around on loose pipes or something,” Lavana replies. “This place doesn’t exactly seem well maintained.”

“I’m telling you, I’m getting the same vibes as that mansion!” Emily says slightly loud.

“Just keep walking,” Kurt says. “No reason to stop and worry over something that might be nothing.”

They hear another rumble, louder than the last one.

Emily trembles. “Are you sure about that?!”

Pearl clenches her fists tight. “I’m beginning to agree that this might be something to worry about.”

An even louder rumble occurs, this one startling them.

“Guys, I think we should get moving…!” Joe suggests, his unease increasing.

Just as they start moving, the wall to their left completely bursts open. The mutant zombie Harmona roars as it focuses on the heroes.

“RUN!!!” Emily screams.

There’s no hesitation. They start running for their lives, and the mutant zombie gives chase.

“Dusk, I told you that mutant could be a zombie!!” Herbie screams as he runs.

“Yeah, you jinxed it!” Dusk shouts back as he turns his head back at the mutant to get a good look while he runs. “Good job, moron!”

“Jinxes aren’t a thing!!” Herbie screams.

“Both of you, shut up for once!!” Lavana screams.

“Don’t look now but we have a closed door in front of us!” Laila shouts.

“If we stop at all, the mutant will catch us!” Kurt shouts.

Lavana charges magic energy in her left hand. “Guess we got to attack it!”

She unleashes a blast of lava from her hand directly at the mutant, covering it in lava, but it just drips off with no noticeable effect.

“This mutant is as strong or stronger than the actual living Harmona!” Lavana shouts.

As they get close to the door, Pearl launches a barrage of crystals at the mutant, but again, there is no effect.

“We need to hit it with more power!” Pearl yells.

Angered, the mutant launches straight for them. They all duck just in time for it to sail right over them and crash into the door, destroying it.

“Get past it!” Kurt commands.

Taking advantage of the mutant repositioning itself, they slip on by it and continue running, but the mutant quickly continues its pursuit.

Meanwhile, in an unknown room in the Tyrant Alternate Universe.

A large monitor shows the heroes running from the mutant zombie Harmona. Rom, Raylee, and Tyrant Sasha are all watching.

Tyrant Sasha crosses her arms and smiles in amusement. “Are you impressed? Repurposing the former Light Goddess was a great idea and gave us a valuable asset.”

Rom laughs just a bit. “Yes, I am enjoying this. What are the limits of its combat capabilities?”

“Harmona serves as the base so it’s at least as strong as her,” Tyrant Sasha replies. “But with all those mutant modifications we made to her body, this mutant surpasses even Harmona’s full power.”

Raylee flies around the room, unable to contain her excitement. “This is going to be a great show! I want to see it splatter their guts all over the walls!”

“Patience,” Tyrant Sasha says to Raylee. “Just relax and enjoy the show. I think watching them helplessly try to escape is more entertaining than just instant death. This amazing creation is all thanks to the brilliant minds of Commander Tarres and Major Smithy.”

“We also can’t forget our other recent victory,” Rom says with a sinister smile.

Another screen in the room shows Harmona, Zaydra, and Keith, arms cuffed, being walked away by Tyrant Zaydra.

“Zaydra is excellent at putting her opponents in emotionally difficult situations,” Tyrant Sasha says. “Of course, she also wouldn’t want to be outdone by her goody-two-shoes counterpart.”

“Ha! Goody-two-shoes! I like that insult!” Raylee shouts, now keeping herself in place instead of flying around.

“Alternate universes are so fascinating,” Rom says. “This one produced versions of Zeth, Sasha, and Zaydra that are complete opposites of their standard selves.”

“Having met my counterpart, I can see the ways we are similar, so I wouldn’t say complete opposites,” Tyrant Sasha replies. “She’s just held back by a bizarre sense of empathy. It makes no sense to me. Other than Zeth, there is no one else I give a damn about.”

“And that is exactly why I came to you and this universe’s Zeth,” Rom says. “What better way to take out troublesome pests than themselves?”

“Don’t you worry,” Tyrant Sasha replies. “We will see to it that they meet their demise.”

Rom holds his arms forward, creating a magic circle in the air with a glowing purple rim. “Let’s see how Zeth and Sasha are doing in their current alternate universe.”

Within the magic circle, he sees Zeth talking to DL Pearl in the sewer. “Looks like Zeth’s not in any kind of danger at the moment. What a shame.”

“What exactly is the story behind that alternate universe?” Tyrant Sasha asks.

Rom chuckles. “The Zeth and Sasha of that universe were deemed traitors by their respective sides so they had run to the Dimension of Deities to be free.”

Tyrant Sasha looks at Rom with intrigue. “So, you sent them there because they would be hunted by both sides?”

“Precisely,” Rom replies with a grin.

Raylee points at the magic circle. “Oh, look! Looks like Sasha has found herself in danger!”

They see Sasha being confronted by DL Harmona. Rom grins with satisfaction. “Excellent!”

The heroes are separated, but all of them find themselves in difficult situations! They must find a way to counter!
