Chapter 733: Mirror Encounter

DL Harmona’s eyes shift into a frustrated glare. “Zeth! Finally, you show yourself! Turn yourself in for treason right now!”

Zeth groans. “Sorry, but I’m not the Zeth you’re looking for.”

He glances at DL Pearl next to him, who has most of her head obscured by her hood. She nods.

“Alternate Universe Mother, let us go,” Zeth says, his voice firm.

DL Harmona raises an eyebrow. “Alternate Universe Mother? What are you talking about?”

“Both I and the Sasha you see here are from a different universe.”

“That’s the worst excuse to get out of punishment I’ve ever heard! It’s something I’d expect from a young child, not from an adult!”

“Believe me or not, it’s true,” Zeth says as his aura emits from his body, his power rising. “We don’t have time to stand here. Let us go!”

“He’s telling the truth,” Sasha states. “We are not from this universe nor are we here of our own free will.”

“Silence!” Harmona yells. “There is nothing either of you can say to get out of your punishment!” She stares Zeth straight in the eyes with anger. “Surrender…!”

Zeth stares back into her eyes, his eyes completely unyielding. “No.”

For a moment, the tension between them is extreme, keeping their eyes locked on each other. Then, with no buildup, that tension breaks as Zeth and DL Harmona unleash Star Shine Blasts at each other. The two attacks collide and explode, canceling each other out.

Zeth and DL Pearl quickly dash away, using their hands to signal Sasha to come with them. DL Harmona grits her teeth as she watches them flee. “I won’t let you escape again!!”

Running next to Zeth and DL Pearl, Sasha asks, “What exactly are we doing? Who is this hooded person?”

“We’re going to the Dimension of Deities,” Zeth replies. “As for this person’s identity, I can’t say it aloud so you will find out when we get there.”

Sasha nods. “I’m not sure what that will do for us but I trust your judgment.”

DL Harmona pursues them, having no intention of letting them get any further ahead.

“Do you still not understand how much it hurts knowing that I have to hunt down my own son!?”

Zeth ignores her, and talks to Sasha instead. “I see that you two had an intense encounter before we got here.”

“We sure did,” Sasha replies with a chuckle. “I think it’s fair to say that I was winning, but because she’s so similar to your mother of our universe, I didn’t have it in me to push any further.”

Zeth also chuckles. “That’s fair. Though, we need to stop her from chasing us.”

“We can probably halt her advance with a massive explosion,” Sasha says.

Zeth smiles confidently. “Great idea!”

DL Pearl smiles as she thinks, “That’s basically what our Zeth and Sasha did to get away too. Different universes but so similar.”

Zeth holds his hands close together as a red star within a glowing magic energy orb forms between them. The energy sparks out, barely contained. “I think this should do.”

From behind, DL Harmona watches curiously as she runs, thinking, “What is he up to?”

Zeth turns his body. “Super Nova!!” Zeth shouts as he releases the red star toward the ground behind him.

DL Harmona opens her eyes as wide as possible, sudden shock and fear taking over. She tries to stop her forward momentum and get back as the red star hits the ground, igniting into a massive explosion. The explosion’s power is so great that it tints the sky red for its duration.

DL Harmona successfully gets back, but she comes to a complete stop, no longer able to continue chasing them.

“Why, Zeth!!!?” she screams, tears flowing from her eyes as she struggles to understand the lengths Zeth will go through to defy her.

Zeth, Sasha, and DL Pearl find and enter a cave, taking them to the Brushoken Underworld.

In the underworld, it’s night with a beautiful brusho-looking sky. Zeth, Sasha, and DL Pearl arrive at a damaged cliffside with a crater at the bottom of it.

“We need to get to the top,” DL Pearl whispers.

Zeth stares up toward the top. “So, the entrance is up there, huh?”

DL Pearl nods.

Zeth turns his head toward Sasha. “Can you summon your Hell Vultures so we can fly up there?”

“We’re in an alternate universe, so I doubt it will work,” Sasha says. “But I guess I can try.”

Three orange magic circles form on the ground in front of them. Three Hell Vultures rise up from the magic circles.

Zeth smiles proudly. “See? It worked!”

The Hell Vultures take one look at Sasha, and start hissing and shrieking. She stares in surprise, not expecting this reaction. The three vultures attack, continuously pecking Sasha, who tries to shield herself with her arms as she thinks, “I can’t believe this! I’m being attacked by my own summoned creatures!”

“What the hell are they doing?” Zeth asks as he uses his arms to swat them away.

The three vultures fly away, abandoning Zeth, Sasha, and DL Pearl completely.

“Why did they do that?” Zeth asks, raising his voice in confusion.

“I’m going to guess that it’s because I’m not this universe’s Sasha, and the vultures can tell,” Sasha replies. She sighs. “I can summon creatures from Hell in this universe but they won’t obey me. We’re going to have to manually climb.”

Zeth groans. “Let’s get to it…”

A bit later. At the top of the cliff.

Zeth, Sasha, and DL Pearl spot an altar with a vertical large metal circle.

“This is it,” DL Pearl quietly says, just above a whisper.

Let’s get in there quickly, before trouble chases us down again,” Sasha urges.

“Agreed,” Zeth adds. “It’s time for our mirror encounter.”

Sasha’s eyes widen as she turns her head to look at him. “Do you mean…?”

Zeth nods with a serious expression. “Yes.”

DL Pearl walks up to the altar and pulls a switch, activating a blue dimensional portal within the metal circle of the altar.

They walk in and the portal closes behind them.

In the Dimension of Deities.

A blue-energy portal opens within the Dimension of Deities. Zeth, Sasha, and DL Pearl step out of it. They are in a town with a large dark yellow pyramid in the middle of it. There are many deities walking throughout the town. The sky is a dark, misty blue color.

“We’re here,” DL Pearl says, now at a normal volume. She pulls down her hood, revealing her full face.

“Ah, so you’re this universe’s Pearl,” Sasha notes with a smile. “You were just trying to keep your identity hidden so this universe’s Harmona didn’t know you were helping us.”

“Correct,” DL Pearl replies. “Let’s go find ‘them’.”

They begin walking through the town of deities. Zeth notices the pyramid in the distance. He thinks, “That pyramid… That couldn’t possibly be like the ones we’re searching for, could it…?”

It’s not long before they find who they’re looking for. Coming out of a building are a man and woman who look exactly like Zeth and Sasha, but there is one key difference. They have deity gemstones on their foreheads. The man’s gemstone is whitish gray and shaped like a circle with a swirling black line within it. The woman’s gemstone is purple and shaped like a small circle with pointed bands protruding out from the center.

Deity of Portals – DL Zeth.

Deity of Vortexes – DL Sasha.

DL Zeth and DL Sasha open their eyes wide.

“What the…!?” DL Zeth mutters, shocked.

“Is this real…!?” DL Sasha gasps.

Zeth, Sasha, and DL Pearl focus on them with serious expressions.

The mirror encounter is set.
