この暗い部屋の中　(In This Dark Room)

I turned to my side. In front of me was a mirror reflecting the depressed image of myself. I turn my head to the ceiling. It was plain white, like a clean canvas waiting to be painted. I slowly close my eyes when I hear a slow creak coming from the door. “Hey, it’s mom. Do you want some tea, sweetie? You’ve been in there for quite a while. Do you want to talk to me? “No mom, just leave me alone.” I said as I shoved my head into the pillow. I feel the air change as the door closes. I look up outside the window and wonder,

 “How did I get here?”
