Chapter 3:

Meeting Her Parents

Say Something

Today was the day that Jeff would meet the Hürlimann family.

“Well, what could possibly go wrong!? ( ̄▽ ̄)”, Jeff exclaimed, as he looked at himself in his bathroom mirror.

As Jeff departed from the lavatory, the bathroom mirror suddenly cracked.

Jeff exited his apartment and walked to Charia’s car. She was going to drive them to her parents’ house.

“Du are ready?”, Charia questioned.

“Yeah, let’s go—“

Charia floored it, and drove exceedingly fast. She must have thought that she was on the Autobahn. Jeff’s heart beat fast and he was wide eyed.

He hoped that oxygen masks would drop from the top of the car, like how they did in passenger airplanes.

Eventually, Charia slowed down and stopped for a red light. Jeff’s soul almost left his body. They encountered another driver, who was heavily over confident, as he revved his engine.

Charia and the other driver stared at each other with a deep intensity; a strong competition was brewing and bubbling like a witch’s cauldron.

“Ehh… is this what they call, ‘road rage’?”, questioned Jeff to himself.

A FEW MOMENTS LATER...

Charia floored it once again; the other driver followed suit, as their tires screeched on the asphalt. Charia’s blue Bearcedes ZLK zoomed forward ahead of the other driver, who had a classic red 1999 Brazda Piñata.

Eventually, the two skilled, quick and furious drivers made it to a hilly section of the city, which had many curves, turns and twisty roads. When approaching one of these sharp curves, Charia would take her right foot off of the accelerator and brake slightly, so that she could drift her car.

Surprisingly, or not surprisingly so, the driver of the Brazda Piñata was able to copy and do the same.

They continuously raced each other, and continued to get ahead of one another, until Charia’s opponent lost control of his vehicle, after a turtle 🐢 crossing the road appeared. Unfortunately, the driver of the small Brazda Piñata swerved too much and he drove off of a cliff. Due to the Bearcedes ZLK’s safety features, Charia was able to avoid a head on collision, as the vehicle’s electronics helped her steer the car and slow it down more safely. The turtle won the race?

An explosion could be heard in the distance, which signaled the other driver’s defeat. Charia just stopped and gave off a haughty laugh.

At this point, Jeff’s soul was about to leave his body. Somehow, however, Charia calmed down and drove at a moderate speed for the rest of the journey.

The couple knocked on Charia’s door, and her parents greeted them and let them inside their humble abode.

“A warm Wilkommen, mein Son. You brought a nice, strong and handsome jung man, Charia!”, Charia’s mother complimented.

“Mein name is Klarna,” informed Charia’s mother.

“And mein name is Vagel von Hürlimann”, interjected Charia’s father.

“Charia has told us some nice things about you, Jeff. And of course, thank you, for coming to meet us today. Ahh, let us go get dinner now!”, suggested Charia’s mother.

By walking, the 4 traveled to a nearby forest... or some place with an innumerable quantity of trees.

Jeff recommended, “Uhhh... We are going to hunt? I mean, we could just get some Digorno’s or somethi—”

“SEI RUHIG!”, scolded Chari’s mother.

“Today, we hunt!”, declared Charia’s mother. |( ̄3 ̄)|

Charia’s father agreed and followed. ( ̄^ ̄)ゞ

For an hour or so, Charia and her parents destroyed several animals to cook. We now really know what happened to Bambi’s mom.

The 4 split into two groups. Jeff was with Charia’s mom. As they walked through the dense forest, the pair eventually stumbled upon a bridge.

To Jeff and Klarna’s surprise, there were two strange men standing there. The vagabond looking men found their newest targets; they eyed Charia’s mom and Jeff and watched them like hawks. One of the scraggly men suddenly walked up to Charia’s mom and pulled out a knife and threatened to attack Charia’s mom, if she did not give them her possessions.

It was at this moment that Jeff knew that he had to do something. However, Jeff panicked, awkwardly reached his arms around the 2 unscrupulous men and grabbed them tightly. Jeff then hopped off of the bridge, while still holding the men in his grasp.

“Hey kid, what the heck are you doin—“

“Ahhhhhh!!”

They all screamed, as they fell in the air. It was almost as if Jeff performed an Izuna Drop.

Sometime later, Jeff’s body was found on the shore of a body of water. There was no sight of the two mischievous thugs. Jeff was lying on his right side. Charia and her mother and father spotted him. Charia turned Jeff over and hoped that he was okay.

“Say something, just say something!”, Charia demanded.

... “My Name is Jeff.” *Cough Cough*

Jeff then collapsed and was unconscious  once again.

Jeff woke up in a comfortable yet firm bed, which was a full size. He was wrapped in some luxurious purple, pink and white striped sheets. The birds outside could be heard chirping through the ajar window, which let in a small ray of light shine over Jeff’s left eye and forehead.

It was the morning time. Charia had taken care of Jeff throughout the night. She was sitting in a black metal and plastic chair, which she rested up against the wall between her nightstand and her bed, which Jeff was in. Charia’s mother and father walked into the room.

“Charia, we are happy that you found such a brave Mann... Jeff, we leave our daughter in your Hände.”, Charia’s mother confessed, as she clasped both of her hands together and raised them to her left cheek, to indicate that she is pleased with Jeff’s good moral character.

Charia’s mom commanded, “BUT NOW, WE FEAST! Frühstücken Wir!”

Jeff did not catch anything last night (except for a concussion) and was thus not given any food, since the Germans were not prone to sharing (not even pizza).

So, Charia, instead promised that she would let him eat something later on.

Jeff’s mind was excited by that promise, as unclean and impure thoughts filled his cranium. But, perhaps his hunger made him delusional, and he actually misunderstood what was actually meant.

It was great that stepping up and saying something and being a hero brought Jeff some happiness. Usually, the hero suffers because of his sacrifices, as good times are created by strong men. May we all be bolder and helpful in our future endeavors.

To Be Continued.
