Chapter 908:
En Passant Grandmaster
Now with a clean-shaven head, Mimoko let loose a blissful moan as she stood outside. "Looks like going with the random warp was the way to go," she smiled as she stood outside a nice hotel.
Entering, she found a mural with two women facing off in kung-fu. One was completely bald, while the other was nearly bald, save for her queue tied up in a pigtail.
"Hmm, I wonder if I should pose before it," Mimoko thought as she did just that.
Suddenly, the mural swung out and around, bringing Mimoko into a secret puzzle cafe.
"Oh? It seems you've found this place, dear challenger. I am SPCM Lu Hui," Hui bowed from behind the counter.
Mimoko smiled and nodded as she strutted over, all while seductively stroking her smooth bald head.
"I've never seen your face around here before. Care to tell me your name?"
"Mi-"
"Oh? A new disciple?" Bai exclaimed as he suddenly appeared.
"Bai... What are you doing here?" Hui glared.
"I sensed someone came, and upon seeing her, oh, she's like master. We must train her!"
"No, I'm the hyperaccelerated bald dragon. I'm here to destroy your master. Raawr," Mimoko smiled as she did a clawing motion with her hand.
Both Bai and Hui glared at Mimoko. "A dojo challenger? Then I'll take you down first," Hui glared as she leaped out from behind the counter.
"Alright, I'll challenge you first then," Mimoko smiled as she pulled out her WWCF card and exchanged the points.
Hui scowled as the chessboard rose from the counter. "Ahem, I guess you shall be humiliated in mind first," she scoffed as she leapt back over the counter. "The first move is random, but oh, it seems you've been given White, so the first move is yours," Hui shrugged as Mimoko approached the board and opened by moving her pawn to e4.
Hui followed up with pawn to c5, prompting Mimoko to move her knight to c3. Knight c6 and g-knight e2 followed along with e6, d4, c captures d4, knight captures d4, and d6.
"Hmm, bold to play d6," Mimoko mumbled as she moved her pawn to g4.
"Why are you talking like you know all?" Hui scoffed as she moved her queen to b6.
"Because I'm... a grandmaster," Mimoko grinned as she moved her knight to b3 and did a clawing motion with her hand.
"Your cuteness will not deter me," Hui glared as she moved her knight to e5.
"Then I'll just prove it," Mimoko smirked as she moved her bishop to e3, forcing Hui's queen to c7.
She then followed up with pawn to f4 as Hui moved her knight to c6. Queen f3 and bishop d7 came next, allowing Mimoko to move her pawn to h4, creating a nice fortress on the board.
"Mm, I shall admit, you do paint a pretty picture upon your side of the board," Hui mumbled as she moved her rook to c8.
"Why thank you," Mimoko smiled as she castled queen's side.
"Art doesn't win matches alone," Hui glared as she moved her knight to b4.
Mimoko silently smiled as she moved her king to b1. Bishop e7 from Hui only heightened her spirits as she moved her pawn to a3. Hui answered with pawn a5, prompting Mimoko to move her rook to h2. Hui took the chance to move her knight to a6, but Mimoko moved her knight to b5, prompting Hui to capture it with her bishop.
"Check," Mimoko smiled as she captured the bishop at b5 with her bishop.
"Tch, we're still even," Hui snarled as she moved her king to f8.
"Are we?" Mimoko smirked as she moved her pawn to g5.
"We each have a pawn and a minor piece," Hui retorted as she moved her pawn to a4.
"Not anymore," Mimoko chuckled as she waved her finger and captured the pawn at a4 with her bishop.
Hui clicked her tongue and moved her pawn to h6. After that, things continued on in silence with rook f2, bishop d8, e5, d5, f5, queen captures e5, and f captures e6 all playing out until Hui began to sweat as she moved her knight to f6, allowing Mimoko to capture it with her g-pawn.
Hui desperately captured the pawn at f6 with her bishop, but Mimoko didn't let up and moving her bishop to d4, forcing her to capture the pawn at e6 with her queen to remain in the game. Mimoko then captured the bishop at f6 with her bishop as Hui captured said bishop with her queen, expecting a trade, but instead, she got queen g4. She responded with rook c4, as Mimoko sealed the deal with queen d7. From that point on, all Hui could do was flail.
She started with knight c7, allowing Mimoko to capture her queen at f6 with her rook. She did capture said rook with her g-pawn, but Mimoko didn't mind as she checked her with queen d8. Hui moved her king to g7, but rook g1, check, prompted her to move her rook to g4 in order to delay mate.
Mimoko naturally captured said rook with her rook, checking Hui, and forcing her king to h7. She then captured the pawn at f6 with her queen, leading to Hui moving her rook to g8.
"Check. Now do you believe me?" Mimoko asked as she captured the pawn at f7 with her queen.
"Fine, you have bested me," Hui sighed as she moved her king to h8.
"That I have. Checkmate," Mimoko proudly huffed as she captured the rook at g8 with her queen, winning the game.
