Chapter 3 T.S.I

Panic settles in full force right into Haru's mind as she looks around aimlessly for no reason but as a reaction to the thoughts of screwing up even more things on her first day.

“I’m sure you don’t want another lecture from Lin hehe~”

Haru quickly grabs Shiro's arm and starts sprinting at full speed out of their room. Despite dragging the weight of Shiro, Haru is still going at the same full speed.

After rushing down the stairs and out of the dorm, they both continue to the main building located in front of the school.

“Turn left and go down the hall until you reach a stair~ the second floor and it’s the room on the right~”

As if Shiro could read Haru's mind that she was about to ask for direction while rushing at max speed.

Following Shiro’s direction, they both made it in time right before the ceremonies started.

“You’re pretty quick~”

“Would’ve been faster if I wasn’t dragging someone”

“You’re the one who grabs Shiro~”

“...”

“Oh? Look like there’s a seat near Riku over there”

Shiro notices Riku who was sitting to the right of the room waving at them. Conveniently there are 2 empty seats next to her.

“Hoi~, Riku~”

“Ah, Morning Shiro, and oh? is that…” Riku looks towards a familiar face

“Ehe, Yep hello once again”

Before they could start talking to each other, the headmaster of the school started giving the speech as the entrance ceremonies had started. The speech is no different from any speech anyone here has probably heard before.

After it ends students head to their respective class, which in the case of the 3 of them, is located in the building to the right.

‘Erm... we haven't introduced ourselves properly have we?” Riku said to Haru while the 3 of them were walking side by side.

“Well yeah, I guess so...”

“I’m Riku, the first year just like you and Shiro”

“I’m Haru, nice to meet you!”

“N-nice to meet you too”

A big smile from Haru while introducing herself seems to relieve Riku’s worries about what happened this morning and drops her subtle worried expression and turns it into a tiny shy smile.

Shiro however, sees a rather fun opportunity from the current situation.

“Hey, Riku~ don’t you think when Haru protects you there, she looks really cool~?”

Riku is surprised by the sudden question from Shiro.

“Eh? Ermm… Y-yeah I think so…” she stuttered while her face is turning red.

“Doesn’t it remind you of *that* scene from the anime we watched together?”

“Huh?! Uh I-I don’t know..” Riku turns to the front, face beet red while clutching her fist on her lap.

“Ehehe~ Just kidding~”

“The first day with you and I already want to slap you so badly” Haru threat Shiro with an angry voice with an intimidating face to match.

“Wooo Scary~” Shiro replied seemingly not sacred at all.

“O-Oh there’s my room, See you l-later,” Riku told the 2 of them after noticing her classroom and then walking off from the group quickly with a shy face.

“Hehe, She is quite cute when she is shy don’t you think~?”

*sigh* “I guess so…”

“Anyway let’s continue to class~”

The two continue to walk until they reach their classroom. Within the class students are talking to and greeting their new classmates, they talk about where they are from or what course they choose, and other typical high school stuff in between.

Haru, being the outgoing type, immediately went ahead and greeted a couple of her classmates and in a few minutes, she was already friends with them, while Shiro found a table and slept on it without a single care.

Afterward, a teacher walks into the room and students quickly take seats and pay attention. The class starts and continues like any other normal high school, then at the end of the period right before the lunch break, students pack up their belongings to prepare themselves for the course they signed up for.

Haru signed up for Emergency Response Training while Shiro signed up for Esports Courses which both have relatively small percentages of students compared to other courses.

But before that Haru, Shiro and Riku decide to get something to eat together at the school’s cafeteria.

T.S.I. offers many kinds of shops and eating spots such as a cafe, cafeteria and even a small supermarket for students who want to cook on their own. All of which will be used to offer hands-on experience for students who are interested in that kind of job.

“Mmmm.... the food here is amazing!,” Haru happily smiles after taking a bite of a Curry Udon she ordered.

“Mm... it’s really good,” Riku replied while eating the bread that she got from a bakery in the school.

“Yes yes yes~” Shiro who already finished her blow of rice is playing her portable game console

“Wait? Since when did you finish that?!”

“Oh… right when you came back with your drink~”

“Um... Shiro, I don’t think you should…”

“I don't see Lin-senpai here at all~ so I won't get a lecture for playing games on campus right? Fufu~”

“You are really something else Shiro…,” said Haru

“Hooo I’ll take that as a compliment~”

After the 3 of them finished their food, they went to the course they signed up for and continued the rest of the school day there.

Haru was completely focused on both the physical training and theory considering she isn’t the brightest in a normal class, more focused than the few others who signed up for the same course.

Then after some time, the school bell rang which means the first school days at T.S.I have come to an end. Haru and Shiro both meet at the cafeteria to have dinner before they go back to their dorm. Unfortunately, Riku didn’t join them since she isn’t staying in the dorm, at least they both were able to send her off to her personal driver right outside the school gates.

Students who are staying in a dorm have around 2 hours of free time to do anything they want before they are required to be back in their dorm.

“So~ How did your course go~?”

“It was pretty nice, a bit boring on the theory part when we aren’t on the field” Haru stuff her face with food to compensate for the tiring days.

“Mhm~ as expected for a muscle brain like you~”

“Then what about you? Did you sleep in front of the computer or something?”

“Of course not~ In fact, I was doing the most part on my team~”

“Hard to believe someone like you could be good at stuff like this”

“Fufu~ Oh! That reminds me of something~”

“What is it?”

“A new game is releasing today and I have to go pick up my pre-order~”

“Wait... So that means…”

“You want to come with me~? I take you around the town a bit~”

“Really? Of course! We got a bit of time right?,” Haru’s eyes were big and filled with excitement again.

“Mhm~”

After the conversation, they both quickly finished their meals and headed to their dorms to pack all their school belongings before heading out of the school.
