Virgin Bets Love Life On JEE

“I love you…”

Those were the words she told him while they walked back home together on the last day of school. It was a cold night and the moon was shining brightly in the night sky. The innocent romance in the air, they could feel it in their hearts.

“I love you too…”

She stood in front of him and smiled. “Are you really leaving this city?”

“Yea. I have to. I want to be someone you can be proud of. For that, I’ll do anything. I’ll train and become someone worthy of you.”

“I am already proud of you. I love you, Reyansh. I love you the way you are. You don’t need to do anything more. Please don’t go away from this city.”

“This is for the best. I’ve already decided. If I do become someone big, your dad will surely accept me.”

“I can always convince my dad. He will accept you if I tell him that I love you.”

“Kiara...that isn’t the problem. I want you to be happy. For that, I want to be able to provide you with everything you want. Imagine, Kiara, we can live in a different country, far away from this town. We can travel the world, we can go to your favourite restaurants, we can do anything!”

“I don’t want all that. I just want you...your presence is enough to make me happy.”

“Easy for you to say. I want to make you as happy as possible. I want to travel the world with you. Kiara, trust me, I’ll crack JEE, get into an IIT, earn big and then we’ll enjoy every single day of our life.”

“Reyansh…are you serious?”

“Yes. I’ve already planned everything. Just wait for me. I’ll keep in touch, don’t worry. Lots of people do long-distance nowadays.”

“I’ll wait for you...always,” she said as she moved closer to him, placing her hands around his neck and looking at him in the eye.

“I promise. I’ll clear JEE and I’ll make you the happiest woman on earth.”

“Reyansh, have I ever told you how much I love you?”

“Ahaha, you’ve told me a million times already, Kiara.”

She leaned in, raising her heels and bringing her face close to his, while looking at him straight in the eye. “Aww, that’s too bad. I was planning on giving you something special to show you my love.”

Reyansh’s cheeks turned red. “Wha-what? What is that special thing?”

“I was planning on kissing you.”

“Why did you stop then?”

“You are going away to a whole new city, a new journey. Your success will affect our relationship. If you do succeed, I won’t get arranged married to a random man. Plus, you already know how much I love you.”

“So wh-what does that have to do with this?” Reyansh stuttered as his cheeks turned even redder.

“To motivate you, I think this might work the best. A condition like this feels more romantic too...” Kiara said as she let go of Reyansh and walked in front of him.

“What condition?” Reyansh asked. His voice seemed to be sad, probably because she let go of him.
