Time To Enjoy A Break

Oriente 6, Heaven

It was the first time I woke up without being afraid that it would be my last day in years. There were no gunshots to be heard, people running through the corridors giving orders, No alarms going off, hell, I could even stay to sleep longer than normal today. But I didn't feel as calm or relaxed as I expected to be.

It may be that being in an unknown place may be one reason, that with this body it is difficult for me to sleep upside down, it may also be another, but I think the main thing is to have a crystal angel by my side who does not stop talking to me even though I just want to stay in bed now that I can.

After eating everything I could bear, I set out to see that lawyer so I could solve this and be able to pay Momo for how much she helped me.

So I walked out of the hotel and continued down the road. It was early winter here as you could see the first snowfalls, and it was freezing cold. Clearly not the best idea to go for a walk with the clothes that I have because it is the same that I had since I was in Tunisia, in the desert. On my way back, I'm going to see what I can get to withstand the weather. According to Urakaze on this planet, Oriente 6, their seasons were a little behind those on earth for what would be the end of February. Not the best time to walk in a top and shorts.

Now that I thought about all this in my country it would indeed be summer now. The hottest time of the year, all the plants are dry, and the best time to go to the beach to watch the sunset.

I also wonder what happened to my mother, surely she is still our old house, but hey, it's where we've been living all this time, so no one complains. Surely she must already be the president or something like that or launching a political campaign for someone else again as long as she continues to do the same while helping people in their businesses.

She was not the type of person who liked politics, in fact at the beginning she was only a secretary, but she is so good at her job that by the time she realized she was running the company from the shadows. Despite how important she became, she always made time to spend with the family and even to organize an occasional activity in the neighborhood. She did not earn anything bad but not enough to help Maria, that is why my father started working as a bodyguard because the two together did what was necessary.

It is not like there is such a specialized hospital in our home, and once we have chosen, we decided to treat her because Japan's neutrality in the conflict assured us that they would treat her well and that the medical service would not be overloaded with wounded from the front.

I imagine that she continues to spend her time practicing how to do magic tricks or reading a copy of that black notebook that she played with so much a couple of years ago about the same thing. Like that time when she was in school and tried to do the trick of cutting a bill from the public and returning it to its original state, but it ended without going well and ended up destroying it. It was fun to see her cry thinking that the police would take her for doing that, hell I think I'm smiling right now just remembering.

But after a few more steps I stopped where I was. Well, I had already walked enough and that town still does not appear anywhere. In fact, the road was now just a small path in the middle of the forest.

I was now completely lost, and without the slightest idea of how I got here, and since the whole forest looked the same, I couldn't know where the hell I came from.

Let me guess, I am right in the part of the forest that is full of traps that the hunters left and that Urakaze told me not to approach.

Don't panic. You are only in the farthest place from your house that you will ever be in your life, I can get out of this easily. I mean now, I've been through worse things before, unfortunately for me.
The only thing I have to do is walk through where I came in this forest that looks the same everywhere, or like plan B walk south, only I don't have a compass and I have no idea in which cardinal direction the sun travels in this planet.

So right now the best thing I can do now is to find a river and start following it until I come across a house or town.

Seeing the advantages of having a bigger pair of ears is that I can hear better so I can hear a river a few moments after I start looking. After walking through it for a few minutes I came across what might be my way out of this situation.

I had come across a small Japanese temple, those where a god is supposed to live. Although it seems strange to me because if we are in their territory, it would be normal to see them walking around there or in their homes, not in a temple. You know now that I think about it, I still don't know what the hell Urakaze is, is she an ancient samurai and maybe one of those Gods that I don't know?
In addition, this temple quite deteriorated and even the weeds came out even under the floor, without a doubt it was not something that people visited a lot and there was not what seemed a path that was used to get here. So my situation hadn't changed much.
