Chapter 13

“….ey”

“…Hey”

A hand shook my shoulder.

I opened my eyes slowly. I was too tired.

“Yawn……” - I streched myself a little.

“Hey, hurry up. The next class is at the other building” - said the girl in front of me before leaving in a hurry.

“…Class?”

That’s when I noticed I was in a small classroom. The class was completely empty except for me.

I looked around still in a daze.

“Wasn’t just I-” -I stopped myself. “Guess, it was just a dream.”

I streched my arms up before standing up in one-go.

The chair complained a bit when I stood up.

I walked outside the classroom, still yawning. Lately, I can’t sleep well enough for some reason.

<<Tap, tap>>

I kept walking down the hallway for a while. It wasn’t long before I noticed I had no idea where the next classroom was.

Come to think of it, I don’t remember this school layout at all…

Must be because I’m still half-asleep.

I turned left at a corner and kept walking. Maybe, I could ask somebody else for directions.

There wasn’t anybody in the hallways.

I know I could always just enter a classroom and ask for directions. However… it’s not like I’m brave enough for that…

It’s bad to make trouble, after all.

I turned around another corner.

I saw a girl walking up to me.

“This is my chance.” - I thought.

I carefully walked up to her. I wouldn’t want to creep her out after all…

As soon as I got very close to her, I raised my hand slightly.

“Ummm…”

The girl in front of me looked troubled and shy. She had raised her hand to her chest too.

I got a bit anxious. After all, I have always been bad with social situations.

I looked down to my feet, while I shyly played with my fringe.

“Umm…I’m sorry but…I need directions.” - I said it while mustering my courage.

I timidly looked up to the girl in front of me.

The girl was looking right into my eyes, while playing with her hair.

I thought it was weird, so I accidentally made a worried expression.

The girl did the same.

That’s when I realized.

The girl in front of me, was me.
