Chapter 20:
To you, the wishing girl

<<Tic, tac>>
The clock on the wall woke me up.
The house, as usual, was void of other sounds aside the clock.
I yawned loudly as I sat down.
“What a good rest.” - I thought to myself.
It had been a while since I had felt this refreshed.
I looked at the clock.
“1:30pm”
“I still have time” - I smiled. I was in a good mood for once.
Why?
Mom doesn’t get home until 6pm.
And so, I climbed down my bunk bed, humming a little tune to myself.
-
I went to the kitchen and made some coffee milk.
I love the creamy taste. It goes well with the black bitter coffee.
I drunk it slowly, savoring every drop. And I properly cleaned after myself, afterwards.
It’s very important to be clean and organized, after all.
-
“Having fun, missy?” - A deep voice greeted me.
“Oh...” - I turned back. It’s been a while.
“Been a while, indeed, huh?” - The cat said while licking his paw.
It seems he can, undeniably, read my mind.
Or maybe, he is just good at reading me.
“Why, yes. That too” - He streched his paws.
Somehow, I have gotten used to this black kitty.
