Chapter 1:

Part 1

My Waifu, Here Is My Love Poem

My waifu, once again I must tell this tale;

Of how we met, and our life turned out so well,

And I will include everything this story must entail.

I was awoken that day by the sound of a bell.

The school day had ended, and I had no concern,

Your anime was on that night, so I ran like a gazelle.

I would not reach home right away, doing so would take a boring turn.

Instead, I found myself looking into the window of shop.

One that sold oddities and things that often were return.

Inside, on a small table, a rare find had been set atop.

A copy of your manga, and you on the cover with your twin-tails.

A book I did not have, I had to make a stop.

When I arrived at the dorm, well what can I say;

I cracked open the volume before anything else could be done.

I could not wait to see what this story would portray.

The wind quickly picked up. It blew and spun.

“What’s happening,” I let out a shout.

I was not prepared for an answer that would leave me in a stun.

Out of the pages, you would leap out.

Blue eyes bold like a shining ocean.

Aqua twin-tails swirling like a waterspout.

You moved your head in a confused motion,

Your beauty no longer contained on a page;

I was filled with strong emotion.

I exclaimed, “Please marry me, Lalage!”

With a 90-degree bow, my offer was underway;

What your answer might be, I could not gauge.

“How do you know me?” you asked sensible things.

I pointed to the book and spoke, “Hero of the world,

Master of the spear, an angel with the largest wings.”

I continued, “I have watched as your story unfurled,

The book, a possible lens beyond this earth;

That depicted your fights against everything which was hurled.”

Your wings rustled in the cute way they have since your birth,

With thoughts likely scattered just as much as mine.

“Another world,” you laughed and shook with mirth.

Lalage, you glowed with a beautiful shine.

A nod showed that you had gotten your bearings,

You said: “I would love to see your world, but your offer I must decline.”
