I Might Die Today!

Ruining my day by appearing in front of me. How thoughtful of you, idiot crown prince! 

"It's nice to see you here, your highness crown prince." I closed my eyes, held my dress and bowed to him. After that, he gave his permission to stop us from bowing. 

"You must have missed me." He said. 

"Huh?" I wasn't able to hide my emotion and reacted that way. 

"For you to come here again, you must have missed me." He repeated it again. 

"I think you have misundertood, your highness." I said. Let me get this straight to you, you idiot. 

"Your highness and I are not engaged anymore and I don't have any feelings towards you. Therefore, I have no reason to miss you at all." I explained to him. Everyone was very surprised. 

"Are you saying that you are really resolved to become a witch?" He even took a glance at the books on the table. He sounded very angry. 

"You are the future crown princess of our kingdom! Stop your jealousy and this farce!" His voice echoed all throughout the library. He thought I was jealous of his lover? 

"Your highness." I looked at him seriously.

"I am not the Valkyrie you knew before. Your highness and I are not engaged anymore and I don't have any feelings for you. Let us not get into each other's lives from now on." I said that not as Valkyrie Evergreen but as Klea Reynolds.

"I do not wish to marry you and become the crown princess. I will take this path and you take yours. This might be absurd to you, your highness, but I am willing to abandon my house and everything. This is not for you but for me." I smiled at him even though I was this close to clobber him.

Everyone was very surprised.

"Now, if you'll excuse me , your highness." I was about to leave but he suddenly grabbed my right hand.

"Valkyrie, you!" He grabbed my hand forcefully and I made a fatal mistake.

I used to attend a judo class before I died and I just performed a judo throw on him as a reflex of grabbing my hand so suddenly. I had become a criminal for hurting the crown prince. 

"Ahg!" The crown prince reacted as he fell on the ground with so much impact.

Sir Greg was also very flustered. He didn't know what to react.

"I'm very sorry for doing that so suddenly, your highness. I didn't mean to do that. You surprised me so I did that out of reflex." I explained but that didn't stop his two guards from raising their swords against me.

"What is going on here?" The King who just arrived asked. 

"Your majesty!" All of us bowed. Even Alexander, the crown prince, immediately stood.

"Why are your guards raising their swords against Lady Valkyrie, Alexander? You two have cancelled your engagement but that doesn't mean you can hurt her." He looked at the two guards pointing their swords at me. After that, the guards lowered their weapons.

"Father--!" Alexander was about to say something but I cut him off.

"Your majesty, please forgive me! It's all my fault!" I knelt before the emperor.

"I was about to leave when his highness, the crown prince, grabbed my hand. Out of reflex, I throw him on the floor. I have hurt the crown prince. Please forgive me." I explained everything that has happened.

"I'll accept any punishment so please don't get my family involved in this matter, your majesty. It's my fault and mine alone." I added.

The King looked at the Alexander, the guards and Sir Greg.

"It is true, your majesty. I witnessed everything. Lady Valkyrie didn't mean any harm." Sir Greg even defended me.

"You threw Alexander on the floor by yourself, Lady Valkyrie?" He seriously asked that.

My heart was about to burst. Is he planning to kill me using guillotine or poison?

"HAHAHA!" He laughed. We were all dumbfounded.

"Alexander, you're a crown prince who trains every day using a sword and a lady managed to throw you on the floor?" He was smirking at his own son.

Alexander seemed so embarrassed.

"Although that's the case, I can't just let it slide. I will give a proper punishment for you, Lady Valkyrie." The emperor looked so serious again. I might die today.

Sorry, brother Vandrel. Please don't be surprised if you'll have to carry my dead body home. I hope they will not cry over my dead body for so long. Good bye, second life! I did my very best but I guess my best is not enough.
