Chapter 94: Heroes vs Daykona

The final battle with Daykona is now underway.

Zeth releases a Star Shine Blast at Daykona. It’s a direct hit, setting off an explosion. The heroes stare, waiting to see the result. As the explosion’s smoke clears, a giant crab robot emerges, she and her throne fully protected within it.

“We’ll have to get her out of that to put the plan into effect,” Kurt says.

“She knew we would destroy her, so she hid herself in a giant crab robot,” Zeth says, irritated.

From the inside of her robot, Daykona grins. “Hehehe! This is only a battle equalizer without having to resort to ‘drastic’ measures.”

The heroes charge toward the giant crab robot with no hesitation.

“You really think that robot can handle us in a five-on-one fight!?” Zeth shouts.

“Find out for yourself!” Daykona replies with her wicked grin.

The robot swipes its claws at the heroes, and it hits Sasha and Kurt, but Zeth, Emily, and Joe continue.

“Let’s see how your robot can handle getting blasted by my shotgun!” Emily shouts.

Emily pulls out her B3 Tide Shotgun and jumps, but is caught in the robot’s claws before she can attack.

Zeth creates two Star Shards and throws them at the glass windshield of the robot.

“And what do you think that will accomplish?” Daykona asks mockingly.

“You will see!” Zeth replies confidently.

Emily shoots her shotgun point-blank at the claw holding her, and the magic-powered shots create an opening to the wires.

“Joe!” Emily calls out.

“I’m on it!” Joe shouts as he creates two lightning bolts and throws them at the exposed wires. It electrically shocks everything the robot is touching, which includes Daykona inside it and Emily, who is being held by it. The claw drops Emily in the process. She falls to the floor with some minor shock wounds.

“Thanks,” Emily says, slightly wincing in pain as she stands up.

“Are you okay?” Joe asks, focusing on her with concern.

“Yeah! Just be prepared to continue attacking!”

“How dare you!” Daykona yells.

Zeth is now behind the crab robot. He uses Demon Chains to wrap around one of the crab’s legs.

He turns his head toward Joe. “Joe! Time to use a Combination Attack!”

Zeth pulls on his chains, knocking the crab robot down. Joe forms a large cloud above it.

“Razor Star Shine Hail!” Zeth shouts.

Zeth releases a Star Shine Blast into the cloud, but it doesn’t come out the other end.

“Time to release it!” Joe declares.

The cloud rains down a ton of razor hail infused with Zeth’s Star Magic. The windshield of the robot begins to crack.

“What!?” Daykona gasps. “This shouldn’t be enough to crack it!”

Zeth smirks. “Those Star Shards I had previously thrown may not have looked like they did anything but they left tiny cracks that the current attack is now expanding.”

The razor hail shatters the glass, and significantly damages the crab robot as a whole in the process.

Sasha and Kurt rejoin the battle as the heroes wait to see what Daykona will do next.

Zeth points his finger at the robot, his eyes narrow with anger. “Hey, you ungrateful asshole! I know you’re not dead! Come on out and accept your punishment!”

The now non-functional crab robot begins to glow and then explodes, pushing all the heroes back, but leaves them mostly unscathed.

Out comes Daykona, heavily wounded. She takes many deep breaths as she says with deep anger, “Here I am! Except that there will be no punishment for me! You have now forced me to take drastic measures!”

Daykona takes out various syringes from her pockets. She then injects the liquid within them into her arms, all at once.

“What are you up to?” Zeth asks cautiously.

She grins. “As I said, I create and experiment! My only other option is death by your hands and that is unacceptable! These will mutate my body but I will absolutely do it to destroy all of you!”

Pushed to the edge, Daykona will hold no option back.
