Chapter 18(Part 2) - May We Include The Princess In Our Trip?

‘Oh shit, what time is it?’ Catte immediately woke up and sat down when she felt like something was wrong while she was sleeping. She overslept!

‘Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit’ she kept muttering that cuss in her mind as she quickly moved to fix her bed, change her clothes, and eat breakfast. She didn’t even have a shower—to hell with that! She was already late! And it is Sir Arian’s class! Fuck it! She thought.

She was trying her best to run fast and when she finally passed the gymnasium to get to her building, she saw her classmates in the gym, warming up, then a high-pitched voice called her name.

“Miss Catte! You are a little bit late but that’s good, you are all warmed up! Let’s have our self-defense class!” the instructor clapped twice before her classmates formed into two lines.

‘It is Friday, our ‘Energy’ class. Fuck my life.’ Catte thought to herself and lined up to the girls. Every Friday, their instructor is different and their first subject is not Science but Vampife class, where they are taught how to live as an adult vampire.

That class literally took away Catte’s excess sleepiness as she always loses every one-on-one.

After that was their Math class, lunch break, and their last two subjects.

Now, the group has come together again.

“Hehe.” Lily devilishly smirked while looking at Qeru like a predator.

“Uh…. Shouldn’t you all grab your baggage first before asking for permission?” Qeru said while scratching her head a little, but the

group has no intention of doing that first. They want to secure Qeru’s presence on their vacation before grabbing their things.

“Okay then….” She just said in defeat as she saw the determination in every member of the group.

“Now then… where do you live, princess?” Lily asked and tapped her shoulder twice.

“Uh… at the Rwyru villa….” She said shyly.

“Oh… no need to be shy, my dear. That’s a place I know by heart.” Lily confidently exclaimed and added, “Now, follow me, kids.” She said as if it was her house that they were going to visit.

“Oh my goshh……”

“Woah……”

“What the fuck is this? A palace?”

The squad had different reactions when they finally saw Qeru’s house. Most of them feel excited and fired up after seeing the inside of the villa.

However, contrary to the squad’s reactions, Qeru was feeling nervous as she opened the gate for them. This is the first time someone will go to her house and ask for permission for her.

“Qeru!” Qeru’s doting older sister spotted her while sitting on the terrace.

“O-old sis Vixu….” She stuttered when she muttered her older sister’s voice.

“What’s with that big group? Going to a party?” she said jokingly and laughed. “Anyway, come on in.” Vixu said, standing up from her chair and went inside the house to welcome them by the front door.

“W-where’s mom?” Qeru stuttered as she was feeling nervous.

“She’s in the living room.” Vixu casually answered while looking teasingly and meaningfully at her younger sister.

“Oh, that’s great.” Lily said with a normal tone. Normally, people won’t hear it, but Qeru’s older sister heard and looked at her.

“What’s the matter?” she asked Lily.

“We are going on an adventure!” Lily answered innocently and brightly, which made the group look at Lily with ‘shut up for now’ gaze.

“Well then, come in and ask for permission. You see, our princess here is really special that someone needs to ask permission for her.” She said while pointing her arms at Qeru.

“Haha, you two look similar, so it must mean you are also a princess.” Lily innocently commented that made Vixu surprised but made her heart flatter as Lily said something accurate.

“Let’s go in already.” Qeru said with a shy tone, avoiding the topic.

“Oh, welcome home, Qeru!” her mom energetically said while sitting on the sofa and immediately stood up to greet the group when she saw them.

“Hi! Good afternoon!” Lily was the first one to greet her with a smile.

“Good afternoon, auntie.”

“You look dazzling, auntie.”

“Auntie, you look just like Qeru, how beautiful.”

“Hi auntie…”

The group showered Qeru’s mom with flattering words to make a good first impression and plus points for the agreement of Qeru going on a vacation with them.

“You brought so many people, Qeru. Are they all your friends?” Her mother asked her and made them sit on the couch.

“Yes.” She answered without second thought that made her mother smile.

“Is that so? great. What brings you all here?” she said and looked at the group. While the group looked at Lily who was innocently sitting beside Hazuka with her hands on her lap, just like a proper woman.

“Hi! I’m Lily and you see, auntie. It’s our one-week break next week and we want to have our vacation in Yulioe. Is it okay to bring Qeru with us?” Lily asked while looking straight at Qeru’s mother’s eyes.

“Yulioe!?” Qeru’s mother asked, shocked. “Yep!”

“No, definitely not.” Qeru’s mother rejected her without second thought. Just with the word ‘Yulioe’, it makes people terrified and have no interest in going there.

“Ah! You are misunderstanding Yulioe, auntie. It was actually my hometown and they are actually not what the rumors say. They are really welcoming, plus, Qeru is a studious student, so she can bring her school materials with her and study there for midterms because it is also peaceful there.” She said like she didn’t think about what she would say at all.

“And her presence is really important for us, as a group, so we really want to go with her.” Lily added and looked at Qeru like a precious being and made Qeru’s mother’s heart soften. This is the first time someone other than their family acknowledge her daughter’s presence.

“Okay then. Qeru, are your things packed?” Qeru’s mother agreed without thinking much of it and turned to Qeru, who flinched.

“Uh, yes.” She replied without making eye contact.

“Looks like you got ready for this.” Her mother said jokingly and laughed a little. The group also laughed, which made the ice break.

“What are you waiting for? Go and grab your things so you can all get them on time.” She added, and Qeru immediately went upstairs.

“Qeru is our little princess, so take care of her, okay?” Qeru’s mother talked to them like a queen.

“Of course! Everyone takes care of each other in our group!” Lily replied and the group agreed with ‘yes’ and nodded with a smile.

“But may I just ask, why is there only one boy in your group?” she asked and glanced at Hazuka, which made them laugh.

"Auntie... I'm a boy too..." Poui answered in a sad and disappointed voice. That made Qeru's mother shocked and look at him, from head to toe--his face's shape, his biceps, his adam's apple, his shoulders, his feet, and especially, the small bump between his legs.

Qeru's mother confirmed it and immediately apologized, "I'm sorry! You blended well with the girls, so I thought you were one, too."

Poui just laughed a little and smiled reassuringly before saying,"It's okay, Auntie. I can be both genders, so I don't mind at all. And that's what I intend to do, actually." he said, lowering his voice at the end.

“Well, to answer your question, Auntie, this group was actually built unplanned so….” Jillian answered and looked at her like ‘you know’.

“A group built unexpectedly is the best.” The mother said, reminiscing about her childhood.

“Oh, Qeru’s here.” She said and stood up.

“We’ll have our leave now. Thank you for your warm welcome.” Some of the members said and bowed.

“Have a safe trip.” The mother bid them farewell as they came out of the gate.

“Don’t trip, Qeru.” Vixu said teasingly, which made Qeru even more shy and cover her head. The group laughed at the scene and walked while chatting.

‘I hope going to Yulioe will make us all closer to each other and give me a lead to those bastards.’ Catte thought to herself, hoping that Yulioe would have enough information about wanted vampires.

Little did she know it was the last time she would think about a lead.
