Chapter 370: Vampiric Angel

Narrator: Zeth’s battle against Kazan continues. Kazan has opened up another lava river, hoping to take advantage of Zeth’s extreme heat weakness in his Vampire Saint Mode.

*Zeth lands on a platform in the lava flow*

Zeth: This again.

Kazan: I think it’s more fun this way.

*Zeth starts hopping from platform to platform to get to Kazan. Zeth reforms his sword and tries to hit Kazan with a vertical slash. Kazan dodges, causing the slash to cut the platform in half. Zeth jumps away from it before it sinks*

*As Zeth jumps towards Kazan again, a lava geyser spouts from below Zeth and it raises Zeth upward while damaging him and weakening him. His sword also dissipates*

*A wave of lava comes towards Zeth*

Zeth: Oh crap!

*Zeth disrupts the lava wave with a Star Shine Blast and jumps away from the lava. He reforms his sword and then uses it to release more magic bats with angel wings down towards Kazan*

Kazan: That attack again, huh?

*Kazan releases a large lava bomb up towards the magic bats and this time they can’t fly around the lava bomb and are destroyed by it as a result*

*Zeth is hit by the lava bomb too and is knocked down*

Kazan: This is it!

*Kazan uses a small lava bomb to destroy the platform that Zeth intends to land on*

*Zeth charges up magic in his fist and punches himself in the gut with enough power to knock himself back to avoid landing in the lava. Zeth lands safely on a platform*

Zeth: *huff huff* Damn, that hurt…

*Kazan releases three Lava Snakes into the lava*

*Zeth decides to jump to another platform*

*Zeth sees some lava bubbling in front of him and releases a Star Shine Blast at it but the snakes actually launch out from other points. They wrap around Zeth and have him pinned on the platform*

*Kazan launches upwards and starts falling down towards Zeth with the intention to pierce him*

Kazan: Hahahaha! This will be punishment for your overconfidence!

Zeth: Nonsense…

*Zeth uses Star Shards and cuts the snakes*

*Zeth is able to roll out of the way of Kazan’s pierce but Kazan does kick Zeth back. As Zeth is knocked back, he barely avoids completely falling into lava by having the upper half of his body land on a platform but his feet touch the lava and he feels the burn*

*Zeth tries to pull himself up but Kazan kicks him in the chin and knocks him back to another platform. Zeth is then almost instantly stomped in the gut by Kazan which makes Zeth cough up blood*

Zaydra: We have to step in! Kazan’s going to kill him!

*Zenfaro looks like he is in a state between being nervous and believing in Zeth. Harmona looks like she is about to go in and help him. She whispers to herself*

Harmona: (Whispering) Why Zeth…? I don’t care how much you want to fight him alone. I’m not going to let him kill you…

*Kazan uses Lava Snakes to pin down Zeth again but makes sure to also cover his hands so that he can’t form hand-based magic attacks*

Kazan: The “newness” shine of your new mode is quickly wearing off. It has become too weakened by the heat. I can tell now that your mode is the result of some of my power being left behind in your body. But just because it is my power does not mean that you instantly get the heat resistance that I have built up. That resistance is part of my own body’s endurance. It takes decades to build up. That is why I am the ultimate vampire.

Harmona: If Zeth is unable to break free. I am intervening. It might hurt his confidence but I will not let him die over it.

Kazan: Your usefulness to me is finished and now you will die.

*Kazan gets ready to pierce Zeth with his hand. Harmona launches towards the battle*

*However, a blinding light shines from Zeth’s body which results in Kazan getting upper-cutted and Harmona stopping and looking amazed*

Harmona: What!?

*Kazan lands on a different platform and wipes the blood off of his face*

Kazan: What just happened!?

*In a close view of Zeth’s right hand, it now has claw-like nails*

Zeth: Simple. I broke free and attacked you.

*Zeth’s whole body is now seen. He has now grown white angel wings. His hands are clawed. His face has a vampiric expression to it and his irises are now a glowing yellow color instead of green. His fangs are even more pronounced. His uniform looks slightly different*

*Harmona looks at Zeth in amazement and maybe a little fear*

Harmona: He… He looks like a vampiric angel.

Narrator: What is this advanced form of Zeth’s Vampire Saint Mode!?
