Chapter 61:

Linx's Fate

Ane And His Seames

Ane eyed Linx and Linx stared back. Lisa looked at Ane silently. The teen boy smiled at Linx.

"I'll let you live." Ane said.

"B-but why! I'll just go on a rampage again. Once I have...this eye!" Linx growled.

"So why don't you just remove it? You said it wasn't yours." Eina asked. Linx shook his head.

"This eye might cause me pain but it means everything to me. I shall never remove it." he remarked. Eina sighed.

"What a drag." she thought. Ane turned away from Linx and nodded.

"So then...it's settled. Linx lives." he announced to the others.

"Didn't you just hear what I said?" Linx scolded. Ane nodded as he turned back to the man.

"That eye is dear to you; definitely heard that." he stated. "So if you die; what do you think will happen to the eye?" he continued. Linx's eyes were shielded as he remained silent.

"I...don't know." he responded softly. Ane smiled understandingly and let Lisa go and then walked to Linx.

"He's not limping anymore." Lisa thought.

"I'll release you from those chains." Ane said as he touched the chains to be blasted away. Lisa caught Ane and the two fell over.

"You can't release me." Linx began. "Only the caster can." he concluded dryly. Eina frowned.

"That idiotic teacher! She sends us here to help a guy she alone can free!" Eina exclaimed; kicking a rock. Ane stood up and sighed.

"Well we'll just have to come..." he began but his body thumped and his pupils shrank. Ane then puked liquid gold.

"Ew." Lisa said; shuddering but still holding onto Ane. The liquid gold slowly formed into Faith who cracked her bones relievedly.

"What the hell?" Ane asked; staring with one teary eye closed.

"So you did need me." Faith said; smiling. Ane's eyebrow twitched. "Don't worry about me. I'm just a clone." Faith whispered; poking her chin.

"That isn't what I'm concerned about here!" Ane yelled. Faith stared back blankly. "How the heck did you get in my jaw!?" Ane asked. Faith held her mouth and chuckled proudly.

"It was just before you left actually." she answered.

All the other teens left Ane's room but Faith held his hands. "Hm?" Ane asked as he turned.

"A departing gift." Faith said; blushing.

"Didn't you leave the..." Ane began to be kissed by Faith. She exhaled longingly and gripped the boy's back tightly as she leaned in closer; rolling her tongue into his mouth. Ane followed along in mild surprise and Faith then backed away smiling and blushing.

"Nearly didn't manage to let myself cast that." Faith thought. "B-Bye." stuttered before vanishing into gold. Ane stood there silently and wiped some blood out his nose.

"Okay then." he said; clearing his throat.

Ane, Faith, Lisa and Linx were all blushing. "You kissed him!" Linx and Lisa yelled. Faith hugged herself and shook around blushing.

"Yes." she responded proudly. Ane went red.

"Okay! Enough of that!" he scolded.

"What kind of teacher are you?" Lisa scowled.

"That's what I keep asking." Eina whispered.

"Anyway...that's not why I'm here." Faith said seriously before turning to Linx. "Long time no see, Linx." she said; smiling.

"Yeah." Linx said; blushing slightly.

"I'm gonna break those chains now." Faith said casually.

"B-but." Linx began.

"You're gonna say something about you going berserk again; aren't you." Faith said dryly. Linx's eyes were shielded. "I thought Ane would have knocked some sense into our thick skull!" Faith snapped. Linx's eyes widened.

"But..." he protested.

"Whatever happens...I'll be there for you." Faith said; smiling at Linx who blushed. Faith removed the chains which then vanished completely and Linx's dragon's eye deactivated. Linx eyed his hands.

"I...haven't shifted....in a long time." he whispered; smiling sadly. Faith smiled.

"I guess my work here is done." she said; smiling at the teens. She then vanished into gold particles. Linx turned to Ane who grinned.

"Take me to her, the actual Faith." Linx remarked. Ane nodded.

Ane and the others slowly entered his house and they all had separate reactions as they entered the living room. Lana lay in Faith's legs as they lay on the couch; fast asleep. They both were wearing Ane's white t-shirts with only panties beneath. Ane held his face; eyes shielded and Ene grinned. "If I were you; I'd never wash 'em." Ene said; poking Ane.

"Shut it you perv!" Eina scolded; pinching Ene's ear. Faith yawned as she sat up and Lana woke up as well. They blinked at the others and Ane stared; blushing. Lana and Faith looked at each other and then went red.

"W-we can explain Ane!" Lana stammered.

"It doesn't matter." Ane said; turning and clearing his throat and passing the two silently; eyes shielded. Ene rose an eyebrow and smirked.

"Where you going Ane?" he asked teasingly.

"Toilet." Ane called back.

"Are you gonna..!" Ene began.

"Shut it Ene!" Ane interrupted.
