Chapter 7:

The Worst Hero

The Worst Hero

Winter has arrived in my city, with that, streets and more streets full of snow beautify every corner.

For children this is wonderful to play, run and have fun with their friends, while for adults who need to work, the cold and snow that accompany this season is not an easy obstacle.I wish Hana played more with kids her age, she looks a lot like me when I was her age.

For me, winter has its beauty, but I honestly prefer autumn. Since I came to live in this city with my grandparents, my life has become very peaceful. I stopped getting involved with "that" type of people and I don't have any contact with anyone from when I was younger (thankfully).

Hana is already 5 years old and, despite being a shy child, she is a very good girl. My grandparents treat me very well, although my grandfather is a little more serious and strict with me, I know he loves me.

Hana sometimes asks some questions about what our parents were like. Whenever she asks these kinds of questions, my grandparents quickly try to change the subject, but I don't know if doing so is the best choice.

But even though I changed schools, my "reputation" arrived in this new city of mine, because of that I still don't have any friends, and getting a part-time job became very difficult. Most adults avoid talking to me, and I often feel their looks of disgust and contempt.

But I don't really care about that. I know I deserve it, so why bother? I kind of got used to being treated like that.

But I don't really care about that. I know I deserve it, so why bother? I kind of got used to being treated like that.My little sister sometimes asks me why I don't have friends. And I just say something like, "It's because they're too embarrassed to talk to someone as handsome and nice as me."And it's always funny how she always believes and says something like, "Oh, I get it," as if she's figured something out.

Well, today is another cold winter day, but thanks to kotatsu we managed to keep warm. My sister is watching one of those bright, colorful new children's cartoons. My grandparents different than usual, right after breakfast was over, they started to get ready as if they were going out.

After a while, my grandfather called me out of the house, and despite being reluctant because of the cold, unfortunately I had to leave. Upon leaving, my grandparents gave me the news that they would have to leave.

-"Satoru, your grandma and I are going out for a bit today. Today is our wedding anniversary day, so for today, I ask you to take care of your little sister."

Even though I don't have anyone to hang out with, I usually leave in the afternoon and come back in the evening for a little walk. But Hana is small and cannot be alone. After they warned Hana, they left. Apparently, I'll have to spend the whole day at home today. My grandparents are very protective, so I doubt they would want me to take Hana for walks or play outside.

But... what if...
