#10.5: The Way I Conquer

At a convenience store 

Man: Can you microwave these, please

Clerk: Sure sir ( immediately put the order in the microwave oven and give it back to the customer after a few minutes ) here you go sir, thanks for choosing our store

Woman: do you have these things on my list here in your store?

Clerk: yes ma'am, you can see it over there

Woman: then can you please go grab it for me, I'm kinda under the weather as you can see, my due date is near, and the baby inside is moving a lot lately

Clerk: yes ma'am, absolutely ( after getting all the order, he put them on the bags and give them to the woman after the woman pays ) come again ma'am

 While he is checking the stocks in the store, the store manager came in

Manager: ( immediately goes to the counter and counts the income for the day ) are we doing good for this week Toshiro?

Toshiro: yes sir! The numbers are doing well and our stocks are always sold out

Manager: good, looks like you are competent enough to work here, I never thought that I could get gold like you in the trash 10 years ago ( still counting the money in the cashier's register )

Toshiro: time flies by really fast, I'm really grateful to you sir for saving me that day, I was dying in that pile of garbage and you pick me up, bring me here and thanks to you I'm still alive

Manager: hahaha! Yeah, thanks to me, you're quite right, and I expect you to work here like it's you're last ok?!

Toshiro: ( bows to the manager ) as again, thank you very much for letting me work here sir!

Manager: (after counting the money and taking half of it, he smiles and moves out of the store and rides his sports car, and leaves)

Toshiro: ( right after the manager leaves the area, he said to himself ) you fucking  pig, it was me who save you that day in that pile of shit, I was wondering around, dying of hunger but I will never ask for your stupid help, it was your wife that helped me to work here, it would take one call from me to your wife to end your happy days, but no, if your wife ends in misery, my job here ends too, so what, I'll be moving in the streets again, a homeless nobody, no way, I will win, now, for sure!

Toshiro Takei, a former student of UBA, graduated from that school a decade ago, rumors had it that only he can go on par with the headmaster of the school which is Hakarage sensei in terms of being witty and working things from impossible to possible. Due to the high credibility of UBA, when you graduated there, may it be in middle school or high school, you don't need to have a college diploma, once you graduated from UBA, the government will give you a 1-week test, and if you pass the test of the degree or degrees that you've taken, the government will give you the necessary papers as if you took those college years of that degree that you've chosen, and with that, only a few have taken the opportunity of taking a such test as those tests are one-shot kind of offer, no 2nd chances, but then, it's really helpful, especially if you're really damn smart and throughout the entire country, most that survive those tests came from UBA mostly, and since implementing such acceleration tests since the late 80's, only 9 have passed, and only 2 of those have triple degree passers, masters, too in each of those, and Toshiro Takei is one of those 2, a certified pride of UBA, the only student in the history of the school that passed in 3 degrees, 1st is Bachelor of Science in Medicine, 2nd is Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, and lastly is Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, and he pass it all in flying colors. After studying at UBA for a decade, at age 20, he decided to go on a journey, but of course, the school would never let him go without a goodbye party, and after an all-night party, Hakarage sensei congratulate Toshiro and gave him a million dollars as a thank you gift, and then, they part ways.

That party was Toshiro's first, and he wants to do more for the entire week, that $1 million vanished into thin air, he partied with his friends day in and day out, and he only goes home when he pass out, and the last time he checks the bill, it was his friends who paid it as his card was finally empty. As much as he wants to go home, he can't just, for the main reason that the Takei's family has a long tradition that once someone graduates from their school, they must immediately find a job, and only after they can earn their 1st million dollars they can go home to see their parents and family, but then things didn't go as planned. 

Toshiro planned to apply for a position that is way too far from him to be actually hired, he wants to be hired in an extremely high position, like Ceo of a company, head of a Hospital, or even a director in a corporation, but, even his degrees won't save him from the most reliable methods of the society, which is experience, and that he doesn't have, for an entire year, he roams around, looking for openings, but then, as again, he was rejected, for the same reason, he has no experiences for the position that he wanted to take. His fresh graduated year is over, it only means that it will be even harder for him to even apply as newer graduate students would want a position in different companies.

As his budget in his bank finally drops to zero, he was kicked out of his apartment, he walks on the streets as a homeless person, his hair grows long, beards also, and his image change from a very respectable of the most renowned UBA to a man with almost no hope for the future, but as he was walking in the downtown city, collecting garbage to exchange for a few amounts of cash, he saw a man in the trash bins and the man was covering the bins, so he moved the man when he thought of doing something bad like stealing the man's possession, his pride kicks in, he then grabbed the man and decides to bring him to the nearest police outpost, but as he walks in the outpost, a woman was already there, apparently, it was the wife of the man that he was holding, the woman rushed to him, bring her husband to their car, and as a form of gratitude, she gave him an envelope, she said that "it may not be much but, thank you for saving my husband", and the woman goes to their car and they leave.

 After delivering the trash to the recycling store to exchange for money, he go home. After taking a shower, he remembers the envelope that the woman gave him earlier, and when he opened it, he saw 1 million dollars on it, and before he know it, he already spent it all in the bars in the city, and he's back to his status of being poor again, but then the envelope falls to his face, he saw a number at the back of the envelope, so even though it's against his pride, he called the number and begged the owner to hire him, and with no hesitation, the same woman answered his call and immediately hired him and the rest is history.

In the current day, he still works in that convenience store as a clerk, and in the meantime, the husband of his boss is a womanizer, but he can't just spill the beans as it guarantees his eviction from that store, so he takes his chances and waits for the right opportunity to quit as he is already eyeing some jobs in his vicinity.

Day by day, he didn't miss checking on the office workers that go to their store, writing on his booklet their current status, mostly that he writes there are those old office workers that are near their retirement days, he befriended them, grow connections so it wouldn't be too hard for him to apply in their company, replacing them in their high positions. Day by day, he listens and talks to those old office workers, and he swore to himself

Toshiro: one day, I'll be back, claiming my rightful place in the society
