I'm twelve

The red bridge, the corpses scattered and the unconscious young man, laying amongst the pile of corpses. Fei Fei stood there, her eyes were filled with terror as she vomited. The scene was too much for her, so her father had her stand elsewhere.

The smell was penetrating his nose, but his eyes laid upon Lan Du.

"Go get him treated, if he dies, then you can forget about getting paid" He said as he turned to the people beside him.

The group reacted immediately as they carried Lan Du onto a stretcher and gently placed him in the car. The car was spacious and there are three people standing beside Lan Du, making sure the trip would be safe.

"Daddy, he won't die, will he?" Fei Fei looked up at Kuang Lin and asked

Kuang Lin shook his head

"I don't know, that lad...he was beyond my expectations, these assassins are all at the very least tiger ranked and are very well versed in cooperation, yet he was still able to take so many down, I've seen his condition, even if he recovers...he might not be able to use his arms" He said with a grim expression

Fei Fei's face paled

"Father, you must help him, if not for him, I wouldn't even know how I died" Fei Fei cried out as 

she hugged her father.

CEO Lin sighed and entered the car.

Fei Fei chose to sit at the back where Lan Du was, she glanced at Lan Du and her bloodied arms. The people around started cleaning her arm, the main injuries were all on the arm so they slowly wiped the blood away.

"W-Will he be fine?" Fei Fei ask them

"He lost a lot of blood, I'm honestly amazed he's still alive after losing this much" One of the three said with an astonished expression.

Fei Fei grew fearful, she also began helping with cleaning the wounds and bandaging the arms.

"All that's left is the shoulder wound" They stared at the shoulder wound and hesitated

"You three get out, I'll handle his shoulder wound, I'm sure he prefers to have as little people see his body as possible" Fei Fei said lightly

The three complied with Fei Fei's demands and went out

Fei Fei stared at Lan Du and began undressing her, however, the moment she removed the shirt, her pupil shrunk as she gasped.

"AH!" She exclaimed in shock

When they heard Fei Fei shout, the three outside quickly ran to the door, when they were about to open it, Fei Fei locked the door.

"Get away! No one is permitted in a ten-metre radius of the car! Father, you too!" Fei Fei shouted

Hearing Fei Fei shout, CEO Lin got out the car in confusion, but as time passed, Fei Fei walked out the car with a serious look.

"I've wrapped up his arm, but no one is allowed to touch him unless he is in a critical situation" She said in a serious manner.

CEO Lin walked over

"Fei Fei, what's the matter?" He asked

Fei Fei hesitated

"Nothing, this is Xiao Mo's secret so I cannot say anything about it" She replied

CEO Lin sighed and got back in the car, he sat down in the car and turned to the back, he saw Lan Du laying there, his injuries were wrapped up, and Fei Fie seemed to have covered her with her jumper.

Fei Fei got in the car as well and sat next to where Lan Du laid, she sat there quietly as she stared at Lan Du's pale face. When they arrived back at the mansion, Fei Fei carried Lan Du to a guest room and laid her down on the bed.

Kuang Lin glanced at his daughter taking care of Lan Du with so much care, he slowly thought to himself.

'They say I can't keep my daughter forever...but how old is that kid?' He couldn't help but wonder, the viciousness and decisiveness of Lan Du was beyond what he has expected.

He had doubts at first when he hired Lan Du, at most he thought of her as a possible tutor for his daughter, but now she had killed over a dozen assassins while keeping his daughter safe.

But the injuries she sustained were all terrible, her right arm is pierced, and her left arm can't move due to the shoulder wound.

After an entire day, Lan Du's eyelids trembled and she slowly woke up.

"You're finally awake!" Fei Fei who was by the side exclaimed, and a bright smile rose to her face. Lan Du frowned lightly as she left a tightness in her chest.

"How many people" She said

Fei Fei was a bit confused by that question

"How many people...knows" Lan Du asked again

Fei Fei realised what she meant

"I-I didn't tell anyone, not even my father, but I'm shocked that you're a g-"

"Enough" Lan Du said, she cut her off and her eyes turned to the corner of the room.

"Cameras are everywhere in your house, I don't want another word to be spoken..." Lan Du said slowly

Fei Fei realised what Lan Du meant, but she then placed a hand gently on Lan Du's arm. Her eyes were bitter as she said:

"I-I'm sorry, because of me, your arms are-"

Lan Du chuckled

"Lass, you have too much to learn about reality, this is my job and I am obligated to fend off all danger as your bodyguard, once you grow up, you will realise that pain is something that's superficial, only when you actually realise how pointless it is, will you know what true danger is" Lan Du said slowly before turning her head.

"I brought a bag with me when I visited you today, inside is a small container, I want you to open it for me and take out the object inside" Lan Du said gently, she didn't show discomfort nor pain despite the injuries she has.

Fei Fei nodded and did as she was told, when she opened the container, she saw two injections, both with a strange liquid inside.

"Ah, how did you get these? This type of medicine is limited in numbers and are all worth millions" Fei Fei exclaimed in shock

Lan Du chuckled

"Just inject my arms with it, I should be able to move my left arm after the injection, as for my right...it'll take some time for my bones to readjust itself" Lan Du smiled bitterly as she let out a deep sigh.

"Really brings me back, though at least this time, I can use one of the arms, last time I had to rely on my legs purely to fight" Lan Du giggled to herself as she turned to Fei Fei.

Fei Fei was preparing the injections when she heard her, she gasped.

"This isn't the first time you couldn't move your arms?"

"Yep, it was quite recent as well, back then, I was quite poor so I couldn't afford this medicine, but now I can even my multiple" Lan Du smiled as she closed her eyes.

Fei Fei was deeply shocked on the inside, she injected Lan Du's arms with both injections and saw the corner of her eyes twitch.

'c-could it be...she's afraid of needles?'

Fei Fei thought to herself

Lan Du opened her eyes

"Miss Fei Fei, since you know my secret, does that mean you saw my body as well?" Lan Du asked

Fei Fei nodded

Lan Du turned to the side

"I can't get married anymore" Lan Du muttered to herself in a depressed mood.

Fei Fei became flustered

"W-What, no, wait, how does it matter if I saw it!?" She exclaimed

Lan Du sighed bitterly

"Even my girlfriend didn't see my body yet, and you did, wouldn't that make her hate me" Lan 

Du replied

Fei Fei was once again shocked

"Y-Y-You h-have a g-girlfriend!?" She exclaimed once again, her view on Lan Du kept changing by the minute.

Lan Du pouted

"Of course, with my pretty face, why wouldn't I?"

Fei Fei stared at Lan Du up and down, she couldn't help but wonder what the girl in front of her is. First she is a mercenary, now she also has a girlfriend?

'I-I thought she's a girl!? Why, why does she have a girlfriend?' Fei Fei began questioning herself, doubt filled her eyes as she turned to Lan Du with a confused gaze.

Lan Du slowly raised her left arm and flicked her forehead.

"Don't think too much, since my left arm is fine now, I should start our lesson, since we missed one day, I'll be doubling today's lessons" Lan Du smiled and sat up on the bed.

"No, you need to rest today" She shouted

Lan Du patted her head

"Recently, I've been staying on the bed for way too long, I'm a free soul and I don't like staying still, so it's either we begin class, or I'll cry" Lan Du giggled and said.

Fei Fei immediately got up and sat down on her desk

"That's the spirit" Lan Du chuckled and sat down beside her.

"I have prepared some questions for you, each will fortify your weak points in class" Lan Du used her left arm and took out a tablet. She tapped it a few times and a hologram slowly emerged from the screen.

"I made it into a game, every time you solve the question, this rubik cube will reveal a colour, once all colour is revealed, you may attempt to solve it, after you solve the cube, I'll give you a gift" Lan DU said and moved the tablet over to Fei Fei.

She then stood up

"I'll go speak with your father for a moment, you work on this, if you need help, tap the question mark and tips will be given to you" Lan Du said lightly and walked out the room.

When Lan Du stepped out, she saw Kuang Lin standing outside, he gave him a strange gaze, he held some black objects in his hand.

"Where did you get these" He asked

Lan Du glanced at the objects, they were her training bracelets in which she uses to train her body. She reached out her hand and was about to grab it when Kuang Lin retracted his hand.

"Answer my question" He said again sternly

Lan Du frowned lightly

"I got it as a gift, now give them back" Lan Du said coldly

Kuang Lin glanced at the bracelets in his hand

"I am very familiar with these bracelets, these are unique to Yuan Min's fleet, tel me seriously, 

where did you get them" He asked again in a cold manner.

Lan Du scoffed

"I got them from colonel Yuan myself, so hand them back to me" Lan Du replied

Kuang Lin frowned as he tossed the bracelets over to her.

"Then...did you join his fleet?" He asked again

Lan Du shook her head

"I rejected him, I have too many things to do, joining the fleet would only cause me trouble" Lan Du replied, she caught them with her left hand and slowly attached them back to her arms and legs.

She adjusted all the weights to 40 kg and turned to CEO Lin, her gaze was cold.

"I saved your daughter and this is your response, it seems working here wasn't the right decision" Lan Du sneered and went back into the room.

CEO Lin's body stiffened, he shook his head and walked off.

'It seems I was too hasty, but those bracelets...are they really given by Yuan Min? If so, how could he let such a talent get away?'

He rubbed his chin and smiled lightly

"Well, I'll see how it goes first"

Lan Du walked back into the room, she sat down beside Fei Fei and glanced at her progress. 

She had already finished a third of the questions she prepared for her.

"Did you use any hints yet?" Lan Du asked

Fei Fei paused

"Um...One or two" She muttered

Lan Du chuckled and tapped the tablet's hint button twice, then the number 7 popped up.

"You've used it 7 times already, I wonder, were they too hard?" Lan Du asked sweetly

Fei Fei trembled

"I-I wanted to finish as soon as possible, I was curious about the gift" She fiddled with her fingers and said shyly, her ears were slightly red from embarrassment.

Lan Du couldn't help but laugh

"Keep going, the hints are there to help you anyways, if you don't use them, they I prepared them for nothing" Lan Du chuckled and said

Fei Fei's eyes lit up, she clicked on the hint immediately and began answering the questions.

"What did you talk to my father about?" She asked

"I was baout to ask him if he picked up my bracelets for me, but he gave it to me before I even asked so it didn't take long" Lan Du replied

Lan Du then picked up her phone and began typing, she sent a message and a picture of Fei Fei.

Kuang Lin's phone vibrated, when he picked it up, he saw a new message, when he clicked it, he saw an image of his daughter and some text.

[You like questioing me? Do it again and I'll make sure your daughter will only ever have enough information to not fail, she will only be at the bare minimum in her exams and her scores will at most be average]

[Also, I was not informed that the assassins included have a dragon rank, if not for my rise in spiritual strength recently, your daughter would be dead, I have also recorded part of our conversation, question me again and I can ruin your reputation with a single click, ungrateful bastard]

Kuang Lin's lips trembled

'No wonder Yuan Min hadn't done anything to recruit him yet...vicious brat'

He wans't too concerned about his reputation as it was easy to clear, but his daughter's grades are no laughing matter. He sighed.

[You win, you little brat]

When Lan Du saw this reply, she smirked, she then took out a small ball like object and clicked a button.

"Fei Fei, I want to ask you...now that you know my secret, what are your thoughts" Lan Du asked

Fei Fei paused before answering

"I honestly look up to you, you're a girl yet you're showing men that you're no inferior, if not for my environment, I'd most likely be bullied like the others, yet I can't help them either because some of the male students also have a strong background" Fei Fei replied, she had a hint of jealousy but also respect.

Lan Du lifted a brow

"Oh? But in the end, you will not be targeted openly...Not only do I have hidden danger every day, the number of people I completely trust can be counted with only two hands" Lan Du smiled bitterly and said slowly.

"But you're strong, clearly, you are not like me, I'm merely a glass vase, while you can fight for yourself without worry, but doesn't your chest hurt? You always keep it bound with bandages" 

She asked

But then, she suddenly gasped

"Wait, I also have a camera in my room, my father will find out" She said hurriedly

Lan Du chuckled

"I'm well aware, but this little thing here blocks off all sound in a certain range, it isn't big but the effects are good, unless I shout at the top of my lungs, no one can hear me" Lan Du said lightly

Fei Fei puffed her cheeks

"And you didn't tell me? I was worried for nothing" She pouted and crossed her arms.

Lan Du found that expression to be very adorable, she couldn't help but reach out her hands and pinch her cheeks gently.

"You remind me of a hamster, they're so adorable and when they eat, their cheeks are so puffed and makes me want to pinch it" Lan Du said lightly

Fei Fei moved Lan Du's fingers away

"How old are you? You speak as if you're much older than me, at most, you can only be one or two years older than me, right?" She thought of Lan Du as the type of person who doesn't grow much but doesn't affect their physical body.

Lan Du poked her cheeks

"Lass, let me ask you, how old are you?" Lan Du asked

Fei Fei replied

"I'm seventeen this year, why?" She asked

Lan Du chuckled

"Well, since you already know my gender, I won't mind telling you, I'm twelve this year, turning thirteen" Lan Du said with a sweet smile.

Her words stunned Fei Fei greatly, she blanked out and pointed at Lan Du with her mouth wide open.

"Y-Y-You're t-twelve?!" She exclaimned in shock

Lan Du nodded her head

"I admit, I do seem a bit more mature than most kids my age, but considering the era we're in right now, this type of attitude is quite normal so I shouldn't be too much more mature" Lan Du said slowly as she rubbed her chin.

Fei Fei was still stunned, she pinched Lan Du's face

"You? Twelve? But you're so strong! And you're literally teaching me subjects that is five years above your current knowledge!" She exclaimed

Lan Du stuck out her tongue and acted cute
