The Mercenaries!

(The next day at school, Bai was then bruised across his face as he was then bullied for being weaker than the other students by rank but limps towards his next class. Meanwhile, Negan was nearby at Bai's school, at a drinking pub then takes three whiffs of the air.)

"Negan: OO... Something smells gooooddd today!"

(As the bartender noticed Negan along with the rest of the customers, silence entered the air as the boss of the pub confronts Negan.)

"Liao Hansen (Pub Owner | Power: Glass Curse): Look here Negan, I told you before that you're banned from ever returning!"
"Negan: Heyy.. Cut your number one customer some slack here, that poor guy started the fight first before I even swung at him!"
"Liao: And because of that "swing", he's now dead. How do you feel about that?"
"Negan: Feel like he owed me some money for repairing my sweet baby."

(Negan then kisses his bat once as Liao was then annoyed.)

"Liao: Does everyone in this bar believe Negan should be given one last chance?"

(As a young, German man is the only one who raised his hand, he'd finish an entire 2 liter soda bottle and throws the bottle in the recycling trash.)

"???: All should be allowed a second chance, should they not? Tis' like my father once said "A second chance can be given, but the final chance is a promise."

(As he turns around to face everyone else, he's revealed to be wearing strong yet thin armor while has a glistening stare at everyone.)

"Reinhard Leonhart (German Student | Power: Armor Blessing, War Curse) Negan Zhihao, allow me to introduce myself. I am Reinhard Leonhart, I welcome you back to the pub. I don't know about everyone else however."
"Liao: ...Alright. I'm willing to let it slide... But one more fight in this pub and you're gone for good, understood?"
"Negan: Yeah yeah whatever. I'll take an ice cold one."

(As Negan and Reinhard got to know each other, time has passed in Jingyi Grand Academy as official Mercenaries was arriving at the academy which almost everyone in the academy was amazed to see.)

"Student: Look! That's the High-Class Mercenary, Citadel!"

(Citadel was seen wearing a silver colored crown while wearing a long skirt, see-through glasses, a Mercenary t-shirt and is accompanied by two familiars of the five elements.)

"Citadel (High-Class Mercenary | Power: Creation Blessing, Countdown Curse): Hehe! Hello everyone!"
"Student #2: Its the Arachnid Mercenary, Light Spider!"

(As everyone witnessed Light Spider in her humanoid form, she waved and smiles at the students as she was cheered for.) 

"Light Spider (Middle-High Class Mercenary | Power: Light Blessing, Spider Curse): A blessing to meet all of you on such a wonderful day!"

(As more Mercenaries were being introduced left and right, the big three among the High Class Mercenary ranks then bows to everyone on the gymnasium stage as all the students present were introduced to the big three of Jingyi Grand Academy as well.)

"Sun Xinyi: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the top three Mercenaries among the Mercenary Association, Gao Xuegang, the Serpent Mercenary, Ju Rong, the Phoenix Mercenary and Chen Liang, the Magician Mercenary!"

(As everyone was cheering for the three, Sun then introduces the top three students of Jingyi Grand Academy as well.)

"And now, representing the Big 3 of Jingyi Grand Academy, Wen Zexi, Xuan Hua and Fen Xinya!"

(As the top three from both the school and the association meets, the six then shakes hands with the others to greet themselves as Chen wishes to speak for Sun.)

"Chen Liang (#1 High-Class Mercenary | Power: Magic Blessing, ??? Curse): Thank you, Dean Xinyi. As you all know, the three of us represents Hong Kong's Mercenary Association and recently, there has been a huge decrease of Mercenaries. Most have quit, most have died on the line of duty and most has even retired. With the acceptance of Ms. Xinyi here, we've agreed to collaborate with this academy and recruit willing students who wishes to become Mercenaries."

(The five on the stage then prepares a power scaler with Citadel being the one to scale the students. Meanwhile in the audience as Chen Liang explains everything, Bai then notices Tian behind him after bumping into him on purpose.)

"Tian: Hey! Did I miss anything?"
"Bai: Nothing really.. They're doing power scaling for your future Mercenary rank."
"Tian: Hey, we should try it!"
"Bai: Uh... I don't know.."
"Tian: Come on! It'll be fun for us, we'll be Mercenaries together!"
"Bai: Well... Alright."

(As over one hundred students is scaled in between the Low and High-Class ranks, Bai and Tian were among the last batches of students as fifteen lucky students were considered S-tiered High-Class Mercenaries as Tian was now up to power scale himself. The scaler then completes its calculations on Tian as the results were then spoken aloud.)

"Scaler: Tian Hanying: Power: Stone Blessing, No Curse. Is a potential A-Tier Middle-Class Mercenary!"

(As two of the big three Mercenaries were impressed along with several other students, Tian was smiling as he was embarrassed at his potential being revealed to the academy. As Bai was then up next, silence fills the gymnasium as murmuring was heard on Bai beginning to attempt.)

"Student #3: You think he could actually be strong?"
"Student #4: No way, he's tier D and at the lowest rank possible!"
"Student #5: Right?! Like he should just give up and go home, such a weakling doesn't have potential anyway..."

(As more students began to trash talk Bai behind his back, he'd step on the power scaler as Gao suddenly notices something extremely wrong as the scaler then buzzes loudly and then openly reveals Bai's potential.)

"Scaler: Bai Zhen: Power: ...Justice Blessing, [REDACTED] Curse. Is a potential S-tier Elite-Class Mercenary!"

(As the students along with Tian was all in shock at the reveal of Bai's blessing, curse and potential as a Mercenary, Ju quickly acts and examines the calculation which was all one hundred percent accurate. As Ju revealed to the students it was accurate, Sun then now knows where to rank Bai as one more student walks towards the power scaler and the students were interested in the new transfer student as the scaler then buzzes loudly then announces the analyzed results.)

"Tian (Thinking): Bai is an S-tier..?! Congrats man...!!"
"Scaler: Reinhard Leonhart, Power: Armor Blessing, War Curse. Is a potential S-tier Elite Class Mercenary!"

(As all on stage along with the audience clapped for Reinhard, he then bows to the others but pauses for a quick speech.)

"Reinhard: I've heard a lot of chatter from those who underestimate one's power. Even at the lowest rank, who says one is weak if they can still fight? Who says one is weak if they do not care about the rankings? As long as one is able to lift a weapon and battle, they cannot be called weak! Thank you."

(Gao claps for Reinhard's quick speech along with the rest of the five on stage.)

"Chen: As we conclude the power scaling, we individually will be drafting thirty students as the big three of Jingyi Academy will officially be Mercenary Captains. You will receive an email on your smartphones of your official captain and division you will represent. If there are any questions, you may speak now."

(One suspicious student then raises his hand as everyone has their attention on him.)

"???: Yes... Say for instance if there was a situation where every student's life was on the line during the line of duty, would there be an support line for the dying student?"
"Chen: ...? There.. would be, but why ask a question like so?"
"???: Oh.. just curious.."

(As several of the high-ranked students noticed something ominous in the air, Reinhard quickly tackles the student into the wall at high speeds after trying to murder everyone in the gymnasium in one go.)

"Reinhard: THIS IS A GHOUL! EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY!"

(As the six was on stage and overhears Reinhard, they'd quickly act and issue an emergency evacuation as the Ghoul after revealing itself to be ticking loudly as Reinhard then punches the Ghoul outside the gymnasium and out into the school grounds as the Ghoul the explodes the barrier created by the Mercenary Association's big 3 as more Ghouls storms into Jingyi Academy and begins attacking every student in sight as a party of fifteen Ghouls stands atop a nearby building, watching the school under siege by a raid of violent and powerful Ghouls.)

"???: Is this where that Zhen child is attending school?"
"Rac (Ghoul Clan Leader | Power: ??? Curse, ??? Curse): From the files we've picked up on this kid, he's the one who carries the Justice Blessing. We kill him for good, the Divinity Clan won't be able to extinguish us."
"???: Big bro..~"
"Rac: Hm?"
(Rac then notices his little brother eating a severed lung from another Ghoul.)
"Omgut (Rac's Younger Brother | Cannibal Curse): So when am I able to eat him?"
"Rac: We're not going to be killing Zhen yet. We plan to scare him into knowing why he should've died in the truck collision."
"Omgut: Aww.."

(Inside the ongoing slaughter of Ghouls and lower ranked students, two non-blessing students were running for their lives as one was then tackled by a Ghoul after storming through a window as he was screaming for his life as his friend was in shock and fear of watching his own friend be picked apart and eaten bit by bit. As the student continues to run, he'd fall down a flight of stairs after looking back then crawls down the rest of the stair flight with a broken leg. As a Ghoul then storms on all fours towards the injured student, he'd prepare to die as a bullet was fired by Bai which strikes the Ghoul and kills it immediately after a lucky headshot.)

"Bai: Hey! You okay?!"

(Bai quickly goes to help the injured student as he screams in sadness for what happened to his friend as Bai comforted him.)

"Teng Lan (Non-Blessing Student): ...NO..! WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN...?!"
"Bai: ....I don't know, I'm gonna get to the bottom of this... Can you stand..?"
(Teng tries to stand as he falls to one knee then Bai assists him as he combats any incoming Ghouls. After fighting off several Ghouls and making it to the outside, Bai quickly notices a swarm of Mercenary teams and paramedics on the scene as Bai assists Teng to a nearby paramedic who began patching him up.)
"Teng: T-Thank you..."
"Bai: Don't mention it.."
"Negan: BAI!"

(As Bai hears a familiar voice, Negan quickly approaches him as he sees the entire academy thrown into complete chaos.)

"Bai: Negan!"
"Negan: The hell is going on in there?!"
"Bai: Its Ghouls, its a raid left and right and it started in the gymnasium, now they're all over school grounds!"
"Negan: ...Where's Jia and Tian?"
"Bai: I don't know... I haven't seen any of the Disciplinary Committee or Tian..."
"Negan: Stay here and whatever you do, don't leave the Mercenary's sight!"

(Negan then storms towards the shattered doors of the academy as he swings his bat with a pissed off expression.)

"Bai: Negan... be safe in there..."

(Meanwhile inside the school, Cheng and Jia was seen fighting together as Jia was relying on Cheng's future blessing when to strike.)

"Cheng: Three Ghouls coming from your third eye!"
"Jia: Got it!"

(Jia quickly blasts with her wind up into the ceiling as the same three Ghouls were then blasted out of the building and splatters onto the concrete floors as they were pinned down by outside Mercenaries.)

"Alright, who's next?!"
"Cheng: Four more Ghouls, two duos storming both sides!"

(Jia then charges enough wind power to rip the heads off of the incoming Ghouls as their decapitated bodies falls directly to the floor. As they then descend to the next floor, they'd hear sounds of gunfire as Peng was firing relentlessly at incoming Ghouls who are welding swords, spears, arrows and their own set of guns.)

"Peng: Alright then... Lets have some gun fun."

(After an echoing whack, a Ghoul's body flies over the pack of armed Ghouls and Peng as it then splatters onto the wall and reveals an indented baseball bat bruise. As they all turned around, a pissed off Negan slowly walks towards the Ghouls with his barbed wire bat drenched in blood.)

"Negan: These damn Mercenaries fail to do their damn job... Guess I have to do it myself...!"
"Peng: Sir, look out!"

(As a hungry Ghoul was ready to strike Negan, Negan swing his bat once which cracks the entire skull of the defeated Ghoul then stomps on its neck, pulls out a gun of his own and empties and entire clip and reloads the gun.)

"Negan: Sorry about that... Who's ready to die next...?"

(As two unlucky Ghouls storms towards Negan, he'd bite down on his bat for a moment, dodges an incoming sword and grabs an arrow from a fired crossbow, stabs it into the eye of the sword-welding Ghoul, delivers an echoing uppercut with his bat as the Ghoul was then impaled by a piece of the ceiling into the neck which terrifies the rest of the remaining Ghouls. Negan than delivers a devilish smirk as he then swing hard enough to explode the bottom half of the hanging Ghoul and was then soaked in the Ghoul's blood as he then pulls his gun to scare off the remaining as they all quickly jump out the windows or escaped to a lower lever.)

"Damn, nobody wanted any Ghoul candy?"
"Peng (Thinking): ...W-WHO... WHO IS THIS GUY...?! HE BOLDLY KILLED ONE GHOUL AND SCARED THE OTHERS OFF...?! (Aloud): Um.. s-sir...! T-Thank you, dearly..."
"Negan: Don't mention it. I'm trying to find the rest of the Disciplinary Com-"
"Jia: Yuhan!!"

(As Jia and Cheng quickly arrives to regroup with Yuhan.)

"Peng: You guys are okay?"
"Jia: Yeah... we're looking for the others... We can't find Bai, Zexi or Xiuying anywhere..."
"Negan: Bai is currently outside, I told him to find you guys and his friend Tian."
"Tian: HELLLPPPPP!!!"

(As they all heard Tian's cry, they'd run to the doors of the science lab to see Tian being dragged into forcibly strong vortex as more than ten students were being sucked inside as Tian was then losing his grip, is then pulled toward the vortex as Jia then controls a powerful wind barrier to stop Tian from going through the vortex.)

"Jia: Get Tian, quick!!"
"???: Not so fast."

(After hearing an echoing voice, Tian's neck was then gripped and squeezed by the Ghoul's clan leader, Rac.)

"Tian: W-WHO ARE YOU?!"
"Rac: Just a messenger, for now. And you must be former Commander Zhihao."

(Negan suddenly focuses his attention on Rac as he began to question him.)

"Negan: And who the fuck are you?"
"Rac: As I said... just a messenger. Send this as a message to the Mercenary Association: "All Mercenaries will fall for longed discrimination against us Ghouls and Spirit users. Along with the discriminations, what we've done today is to send a message to the one named, Bai Zhen.-"

(Everyone then delivers a worried glare as Negan was the only one still serious.)

"-Understand who I am. I am Rac and the clan that has assaulted you today is Rejects of The Undead. We'll be taking several students hostage, but we're willing to negotiate..."
"Negan: As if I'm buying your bullshit!"
"Rac: You should watch that mouth of yours Negan or the kid dies."
"Tian: W-WHAT?!"
"Rac: Now. We'll let the students go... But we have two conditions you can decide which to follow. Condition number one: Confirm and disband all of China's Mercenary Associations. Condition number two: Keep the Mercenary Association alive... but kill Bai Zhen."

(As Negan and the others heard the conditions, Negan began to get pissed off and walk towards the ongoing vortex as he forces his legs to anchor into the ground.)

"Jia: W-WHAT...? K-KILL BAI ZHEN?!"
"Rac: The brat should not have survived that truck collision. So now, deliver my message towards the Mercenaries. We will give you a week to make a final decision. That is when I will return with higher rated Ghouls."

(As the wind barrier forcefully explodes, the vortex began to activate at full power once again as Tian was then dragged in at will which triggers Negan to run towards the vortex and stop Rac. After grabbing a piece of his cloth from the closing vortex, Negan was pushed back and stops himself from being pushed further. Meanwhile, all the alive Ghouls currently began to retreat back to their hideout as Bai along with the others noticing it as well. As everyone then regroups outside, Mercenaries began to put the fires out at the school as Negan then walks outside with almost all of the Disciplinary Committee as Bai regroups with them and most Mercenaries was disgusted to see Negan's face as the association's big three regroups to see him. As Gao sees him, she quickly goes to hug Negan as Chen and Ju were not pleased to see him.)

"Negan: At least some people is happy to see me."
"Ju: I have no desire to be proud to see my "terrorist teacher"."
"Negan: Again with this shit?"
"Gao: I'm still proud to see you as always, commander..."
"Negan: I'm not your commander anymore Gao, you're a grown woman now.. Just call me Negan, alright?"
"Chen: Why was someone like you considered a commander in the first place?"
"Bai: What's... going on..?"

(As Negan then turns around to see Bai he then sighs and reveals a hidden truth.)

"Negan: Alright kid, listen. Years ago, I was part of the Mercenary Association. But the association's Big 3 that stands before you right now... are my former students."

(As Jingyi Academy students along with Bai witnesses a shocking truth, Bai then was speechless as Negan then walks off to go home.)

"Come on kid, I'm tired of today already..."

(As Bai then follows Negan, Jia and the others was then worried about all that has happened today, along with their two missing friends and the message Rac has delivered.)

"Jia: ...Everyone."

(As all eyes were on Jia, she then begins to explain everything that has transpired inside the school, including the message that Rac has passed on towards the Mercenary Association.)
