Chapter 111:

Game

So What If I'm a Girl

Lan Du bit her nails as she thought to herself, her mind still in shambles about how she can avoid the original plan given to her by the organisation.

She sighed and rubbed her chin

"Is it really the only way?" She muttered

She read a small report on the Xiong corporation's young master, he wouldn't take anything apart from slaves with him, even if they ask to become a bodyguard or servant.

He was a strange person, and a pervert to top it off, so Lan Du didn't want to get too close with someone like him during her mission. But she needed to use him to find the main building of the Xiong corporation so she had no choice.

"They knew I needed better ranged weapons, dirty bastards" she shook her head and searched the back of the ship, there was a large pile of boxes and inside all had strange objects.

Some were containers whilst others had weapons.

She took out one of the containers and opened it. Inside, were some kind of stickers, she searched through the large variant of stickers until she found one which is shaped like an eye.

It was black and had lines coming out the side

"If I'm going to act like a slave, at least I'll give myself the best treatment, tier one slaves, expensive and high in quality, I'd buy one myself if not for the fact that I'm too lazy to explain the slave's existence to those around me" Lan Du muttered and stuck the transparent sticker onto her right arm.

Her arm began heating up as a searing hot pain scorched into her arm and the sticker was completely embedded into her arm. She scratched it a few times to make sure it wasn't sticking out in any way and also poured water on it to test if it will get washed off.

The result was that it was completely fine.

'Now is to sneak in and catch his attention...professor did mention that he was into tom boys...he can't be gay, right? Pfft, I'll just wear some ragged clothes, not like I dress like a girl anyway'

She shrugged her shoulder and sat down at a side seat, she closed her eyes and waited for the ship to arrive at the designation. But thinking about the distance made her annoyed.

'It would take a minimum of three to five days, and if worse comes and I meet a spacial storm, it'll take close to ten days to arrive'

Just as she was about to doze off, the whole ship shook, causing her to jump up. She ran to the front and flicked a switch.

A screen popped up and visuals of the outside shone out.

Behind her ship was a larger one, it was dozens time bigger and she could see multiple artillery at the side, aiming towards her.

"Some shadow this ship turns out to be, not even an hour and I was found by some random bastards" Lan Du grumbled, she rolled down her sleeves and wore her cap before sitting down at the control panel.

She then pulled a trigger beside her and the top of her ship started to move before a small rod poked out.

Then, a sound began ringing inside her ship, somewhat like a cellphone and a holographic visual popped up in front of her.

She clicked it and a person appeared.

[Stop your ship and get on your knees] He spoke with a wide arrogant smile, his teeth had two wide gaps in it but it only made him look more annoying to Lan Du than he already is.

Lan Du leaned on her hand

"A robbery not even an hour in, tch, some luck I have, I must have read too many novels, the plots are rubbing onto me" She mumbled as she waved her hand

"Sure sure, I don't have anything on this ship anyway" Lan Du shrugged her shoulders and sat down on the ground.

The man was quite surprised, but he then cut the call and his ship slowly stopped above the M1 Shadow. Like a port, the bottom of the ship opened up and revealed a large runway inside. Lan Du rolled her eyes as if she was bored, she waited for her ship to be transferred inside before she opened the hatchet at the top of her ship.

She climbed out and sat at the top of the ship.

"I've got nothing important on the ship, take what you want and I'll be on my way" Lan Du yawned as she laid down on top of the ship, acting as if this was a normal encounter.

In fact, she was being way too casual even if this was a normal encounter.

Feeling speechless, the man she saw on the call walked up and gestured for someone to search the ship. After taking out all the boxes inside, he felt disappointed by how little was in there.

"We wasted our time, tie him up, we'll search for another target" He waved his hand and said

At this moment, Lan Du sat up

"I'm sorry, but I think I misheard something" Lan Du scratched her ear and jumped down.

The man sneered

"Tie him up and stuff his mouth" He commanded, a group slowly approached Lan Du with gestures to hold her down.

Lan Du shook her head and sighed, she swiped her hand quickly and a pistol was now in her hand, pointed at the man's head.

"I don't take threats lightly" She said casually

The man scoffed as he stared at the gun in her hand

"So what? I have thousands of people on board, I'd like to see what you can do" He said with a smirk as he crossed his arms.

His tone was arrogant as he looked down upon Lan Du.

Lan Du's eyes grew cold as she put the pistol away, she then took a few steps to the side and a smile rose.

"But let's play a game before this" She said with a light smile

The man lifted his brows

"What sort of game?" He asked

Lan Du's smile widened as she stomped her feet, only then did the man realise that below her feet, was a vent which was now flipped open, and her body dropped into it.

"A game of hide-and-seek" Lan Du shouted up as her body slid through the ventilation system.

Veins popped out the man's head

"Find him! Use the ship's control panels and search the whole ship!" He shouted angrily, his eyes were bloodshot as he kicked someone into the vents to follow.

He stormed back and headed to the control room, he sat down and massaged his forehead.

"That brat" He muttered

However, the room's light suddenly became red and started flashing

"What's going on!" He roared

A man ran into the control room with a panicked expression

"S-Sir! We're receiving serious damage right now! The men we sent after that kid are now unreachable, we cannot connect to them through communications, and we have people getting shot from unknown areas!" He shouted

The man's pupils shrunk

"WHAT!"

He stood up as his expression was filled with shock

"It hasn't even been ten minutes, and you're saying that brat already knows the vents like his own home!" He roared at the top of his lungs, his eyes bulged, and his fists clenched.

The person who stepped in lowered his head

"Y-Yes sir" He replied

The leader slumped back as he massaged his head once again

"This is inconceivable, find him! I don't believe we can't capture that insolent brat!"

Suddenly, another man ran in

"S-Sir! Our communications have been overrun, the room has been taken over and anyone we send in are either killed or captured by that person!"

The man's face paled

"What monster did we run in to? What game is this? How is this hide-and-seek now? This is clearly a hunt!" He muttered under his breath.

Before he could process all this information, another man ran in, this time, it wasn't panic nor nervousness, it was complete and utter fear.

"Sir! Please stop this madness, we can't go on any further, the communications has become an impenetrable fort, and-and, that maniac is now torturing our comrades openly! H-He's showing everything on the ship's video, every member can see!" He cried out fearfully

"Why don't you use long ranged weapons then!" The leader slammed his hand and shouted

"W-We can't! The communication room is equipped with many defensive measurements, one being the photon shield, we can't even throw explosives inside it, much less shoot it"

The man almost fell off his seat

"And you're saying he found out how it all works!"

"Yes, but sir, this isn't the worst part! Our men's morale is dropping faster than flies! Some are even tempted to submit at this point!" He added

The leader almost fainted on the spot, his face was paper white and he felt as if his blood was circulating backwards due to sheer shock.

"Why!" He shouted, his voice was now crisp due to all the shouting, but it was overshadowed by his rage and confusion.

"Sir, I said before, he's openly torturing our men! I-It's too cruel to watch, he's digging out organs and explaining them to us! He's even made sure our men are wide awake in the process, no anaesthetics and she would use a drug that keeps them awake no matter what!" His teeth chattered as he shuddered whilst grabbing his own arms.

He would have curled up in a ball if not for his leader being right there

Hearing this, everyone paled, they couldn't tolerate it any more.

*Beep*

[Hello hello? Ah, the call went through, how's the game so far? Having fun at all? By the way, have you seen the videos I've been livestreaming throughout the ship? Man, your men are great, their organs are strong and fit, so I don't need to be too careful when cutting them out] He heard Lan Du's cheerful voice ringing around the room.

He almost wanted to drop to his knees just so she would stop

[Oh, I also have a message ready for the nearby military, I'm sure they'll be happy to find you guys as you are now, after all, you are all just free contribution points to them, but I can strike you a deal, I won't send them this message, but you need to give me a ride]

Lan Du snickered and said with a light smile, though the leader couldn't see her, he could feel her smile through her tone alone.

But his eyes suddenly lit up

"Boss!" He shouted out

Lan Du almost dropped the microphone in her hand

[What?]

"Be our boss! Your strength is unparalleled, with you as our boss, we will surely flourish!" He shouted out hysterically

Lan Du was speechless, why does this scene seem so familiar? She was now getting a sense of De Ja Vu at the moment as she remembered her underlings whom she accepted at the academy.

She shook her head

'I'm not going through that ordeel again!'

"No" She rejected firmly

The man's face dropped

"A-Alright, we'll accept your deal, but stop this onslaught, and spare the men you have captured" He said weakly, with his current situation, Lan Du held almost all the power.

[What's that? I couldn't hear you over your men's cries] Lan Du spoke up on the other end

It was followed by the drop of a metalic object, which the leader believed to be a knife. Sweat rolled down his face as he sat there.

"I accept your deal!" He shouted

Hethen heard a laughter

[This would have been much easier if you just searched my ship and let me go, look at all the fuss you made, but I have to admit, I had a great time myself]

'You had fun but I didn't!' He wanted to cry, so did his men, but no tears came out.

He then heard the same *beep*from earlier and he could no longer hear Lan Du's voice. He let out a sigh ofrelief but his face suddenly froze after a few moments.

"Wait! You haven't told us where you need to go!" He wanted to cry, more than any other time in hi slife, this was the most tragic he has ever been.

Just as he was cintemplating in how he should contact Lan Du, someone walked into the room

"Leader, our ship's destination has been changed to Xing Dian" He said nervously

Hearing this, the leader slumped back to his chair and wiped the sweat rolling down his forehead. He then glanced at the four who ran in one by one earlier.

"What's our casualties at?" He asked

They hesitated before replying

"S-So far, we lost one hundred and fifty three men" One replied, he was fearful of his leader losing control but instead he seemed relieved.

"Only one hundred and fifty? That's good, at the rate he could kill, I was scared it was close to a thousand, go full speed towards Xing Dian, I don't want him on my ship for even one second more, if we can't have him as a boss, we need to get rid of him before he cause our demise"

[Just saying, I can hear every word you say]

Suddenly, Lan Du's voice rang throughout the room, shocking him and almost made him fall. He wiped his forehead as he shuddered.

"I-I was just talking nonsense, d-don't pay heed to what I have said" He muttered

Lan Du snickered, she was enjoying this sense of power she held, the ship was also faster than her M1 Shadow as well so she wasn't too bothered. The only problem was that it was very flashy and large, though it wouldn't be too much of a problem once she leaves.

She hanged around the communications of the ship most the time, but once in a while, she'll head to the cafeteria to grab some food. Her appearance was like a plague to the crew, they stayed as far away as possible and even went as far as hiding themselves under tables to avoid her.

Lan Du yawned as nothing has happened over the last few days, she was even tempted to grab a few crewmates to 'play' around with.

However, the peace was dashed the next day, the ship suddenly stopped and Lan Du began grumbling.

"You better have a good reason for stopping or I'll tie someone to the bumper of the ship" Lan Du hissed

The man shook his head

"It seems that we have reached the end of our journey, brat, can't you tell? It's the Federation's number 5 Military patroling the galaxies, Ravens, we won't be able to get away even if we increase our output to the maximum" He said with a serious face

Lan Du furrowed her brows

"Trouble after trouble, when can I have a damn peaceful mission" Lan Du scrambled her hair and sighed

"Forget it, your men can't even beat me, much less the Ravens" She sighed and waved her head

The ship was now surrounded, fleets upon fleets were crowded around the ship. Lan Du glanced out the window and clicked her tongue.

"Should I just have them give me a ride then? Their ships are much faster than this run down ld thing" She rubbed her chin and muttered.

She turned her head and saw that a small ship slowly flew over to them, it got in through the bottom where there was the run way Lan Du entered through.

People stepped out the small ship, it was roughly the same size as the M1 Shadow, but wasn't built to be as stealthy as it.

"This is the tenth wanted pirate group? How did the federation have so much trouble with this pathetic pile of garbage?" A man within the group who just entered spoke, he had a scar over one eye and a mustache below his nose.

But the man in front of him held up one hand

"Enough, they were merely good at getting away, the Federation wasn't able to find them near the scenes, we were lucky to have run into them" He said calmly

The man who spoke up earlier lowered his head and didn't say anything else

As they walked, they saw a man walk over to them. He was the leader, the man who owned this ship. He gritted his teeth and bowed.

"We are willing to surrender" He said slowly

"Pfft, did you even have a choice to this?" A snicker came from behind him, he turned his head and saw Lan Du who was waving her hand.

The small group who just entered also stared at Lan Du, who was now walkig closer.

"You are?" The man at the front asked

Before Lan Du replied, the man behind her shouted out

"Boss, you're finally here!" He shouted out

Hearing this everyone froze, including Lan Du.

A cold smile crept to her face

"Quite daring of you to plot against me" She said coldly as she grabbed him by his neck and tightened her grip to the point of him choking.

But the men from the Ravens grabbed her arm and pulled her back.

"You all are under arrest, having killed and robbed countless travellers, you will all be sentenced to jail for life" One of them growled as he held Lan Du in a lock hold.

Lan Du frowned

"Would you believe me if I said I'm not their boss and just someone they captured?" Lan Du asked

But their eyes were unmoved, as if they didn't hear her at all.

Lan Du sighed

"Forget it, let me talk to your fleet's admiral" Lan Du said

"Tch, just shut up, you have no-" He froze when he suddenly saw Lan Du's cold eyes, as if he was witnessing himself get cut to bits, he began sweating as he fell back.

But when he stared at himself, he realised that he was fine.

Lan Du then shook the man holding her, she grabbed him by his collar and flipped him over her shoulders. She then stomped on his back and pointed a gun at him.

"Stop moving or I'll shoot" Lan Du said casually
