Preparing for the Hunt: The Trio's Plan for School Safety

The trio made their way to Saori's workshop, deep in the school's basement as they delved deeper into their investigation plans, Saori couldn't help but notice the way Yuna's eyes kept darting over to her. She could sense the nervousness emanating from the other girl and decided to break the tension.

"Hey Yuna, are you okay? You seem a little on edge," Saori said, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

Yuna's face flushed red and she averted her gaze. "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just...all of this is a lot to take in," she stammered.

Saori led Yuna over to a corner of the basement where she kept her tools. She pulled out a small handheld device that looked like a cross between a flashlight and a Geiger counter. "This is a UV light scanner," she explained, showing it to Yuna. "It can detect traces of vampire blood or saliva on surfaces even after they've been cleaned."

Yuna nodded, impressed by the ingenuity of the device. Saori continued, showing her a variety of other tools ranging from traditional wooden stakes to modern electronic listening devices.

As they talked, Mika was off in the corner, geeking out over a high-tech crossbow. She was so absorbed in examining the weapon that she didn't seem to be paying attention to the conversation between Saori and Yuna.

Finally, Saori turned to Yuna, her eyes locking onto hers. "I know this is dangerous," she said softly. "But I won't let anything happen to you."

Yuna felt her heart skip a beat at the intensity of Saori's gaze. She opened her mouth to reply, but before she could say anything, Mika spoke up from behind them.

"Aww, you two are so cute!" Mika teased, a grin spreading across her face. "Don't mind me, just keep making googly eyes at each other."

Yuna blushed, feeling embarrassed at being caught off guard. But she couldn't help but feel a surge of affection for both Saori and Mika in that moment.

As they continued to discuss their plans, Saori pulled out a map of the school and the surrounding area. "We need to start patrolling the school grounds," she said, pointing to several areas of the map. "There have been too many attacks lately to leave anything to chance. We need to be proactive about protecting the students and faculty."

Mika jumped in eagerly. "Oh, can we get matching uniforms? I've always wanted to be part of a cool club," she said, grinning widely.

Saori rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile at Mika's enthusiasm. "Sure, why not. But let's focus on the more important matters first," she said.

Yuna nodded in agreement. "We should also have a system in place for reporting any suspicious activity," she suggested. "And maybe set up a curfew for the students."

The three of them worked late into the night, developing a detailed plan for keeping the school safe. They discussed everything from patrol routes to defensive tactics. Saori taught Yuna and Mika basic self-defense techniques and showed them how to use the tools of the trade.

As they were packing up, Saori pulled Yuna aside. "I just wanted to say... I'm glad you're on this team," she said softly, looking into Yuna's eyes.

Yuna felt her cheeks flush as she looked back at Saori. "I feel the same way," she said, smiling shyly.

Mika, who had been pretending to pack up her bag, suddenly jumped up. "Aww, you two are so cute," she said, grinning teasingly. "I'm so glad to be part of this team of vampire hunters with you."

Yuna and Saori both laughed, relieved to have some levity after such a serious conversation. They knew the road ahead would be difficult, but they were determined to protect their school and their friends, no matter what it took.
