Chapter 604:

Chapter 618: Time Capsule of Past Enemies

Beyond The Stars

Chapter 618: Time Capsule of Past Enemies

Narrator: At the prison for the souls of mortals in Hell.

*Zeth and Sasha enter the prison. They go up to a female demon who is the secretary*

Sasha: We’re here to see the prisoners. Can you grant us entry?

Secretary: Yes, you are granted access. Go on in.

*Zeth and Sasha go farther into the prison and see the souls of dead mortals who were sent to Hell. They soon see a prison room that has the poachers in it. They walk up to that prison cell*

Zeth: Well, this sure is a blast from the past. It’s some of our earliest enemies, the poachers. The leader, Tazer, and his followers, Grode, Shotsteed, Alga, Sen, Edgar, and Naysha.

*The poachers notice them and start talking*

Tazer: If only…

*Zeth raises an eyebrow*

Tazer: If only the literal son of the Light Goddess and daughter of the Dark Goddess were not among our targets that day, we could have lived amazing lives with a lot of wealth.

*Alga looks frustrated as she looks at Sasha*

Alga: You were a literal goddess… a literal demon… That’s why I could not beat you that day.

Sen: You and your friends robbed us of our lives!!

*Zeth and Sasha do not look sympathetic*

Zeth: You may not have noticed but Easia and Raider are not among your group here. The two of them redeemed themselves and got into heaven when they died.

Sasha: They get to be a part of eternal paradise while you seven will be tormented here for eternity.

*The poachers still look angry. Zeth looks at a male demon prison guard*

Zeth: May we be allowed to enter their room?

Guard: It’s about time for them to be allowed out to the outdoor grounds for “recess”, so sure. Go ahead

*The guard opens the cell door and Zeth and Sasha walk in*

Zeth: Let’s get all of that hate out of your systems. If it will make you feel better, go on and hit us. Hit us as much as you would like.

*The seven poachers stand up and run toward them with their fists ready. Tazer, Grode, Sen, and Naysha punch Zeth while Shotsteed, Alga, and Sen punch Sasha. The punches have no effect on Zeth and Sasha. They didn’t even make them flinch. However, the seven poachers continue to punch them with still no effect. They keep punching until they get tired out. None of the punches did any damage. After they stop, Zeth and Sasha start to walk out of the cell. Zeth looks back at them*

Zeth: It’s not because we are divine beings that you were defeated. Our friends were mortals and still took you down. Maybe you should reflect on yourselves. Regret your actions for the rest of eternity.

*Zeth and Sasha walk away from the cell and continue on. They continue looking at cells, trying to find Korobu. Soon, they actually find Daykona*

Zeth: This time, we found another blast from the past.

Sasha: This whole place is a time capsule of our past enemies*

Daykona: You two are the last things I need to see.

Zeth: And why is that?

Daykona: Because you two represent not only what I dedicated my life to fighting against, but also… my failure. I lost to you in battle and I do not need to be reminded of that.

Sasha: Your dedication was to a false flag. Has anyone told you the truth about the Crow Beak Divine Killers?

*Daykona pauses for a moment*

Daykona: …Yes. Goma told me, and his daughter, Dayna, further confirmed it. The Crow Beak Divine Killers was formed by the diving being, Rayna, defeating its purpose.

Zeth: And what have you felt since learning that?

Daykona: A loss of self. I feel basically nothing anymore.

Sasha: Maybe it’s too late since you’re already in Hell, but find something else to focus your interest on.

*Daykona looks at them as they walk away*

***

Narrator: In an outdoor area of the prison.

*Zeth and Sasha find Kogen, Udana, and Fisha*

Kogen: Well, if it isn’t the heroes of the Earth, Zeth and Sasha.

Udana: What brings you two to this wretched hive of scum and villainy?

Sasha: We’re looking for Korobu. Do you know where he is?

Kogen: I have no idea. In fact, I don’t think I’ve encountered him in this prison yet.

Fisha: This place is gigantic so I’m sure there are tons of people we haven’t seen that are here.

Zeth: I see. I guess we better keep going.

Udana: We wish you two well. Good luck!

Zeth and Sasha: Thanks!

*Zeth and Sasha walk away and go through a door that leads to a different indoor area. In the new area, they find Dayna looking into a cell. Zeth and Sasha walk up to her*

Sasha: Who are you visiting, Dayna?

Dayna: My father.

*Zeth and Sasha look into the cell and see Goma just sitting with a sad look. Zeth and Sasha look surprised*

Zeth: You were sent to Hell, Goma?

*Goma looks up at them*

Goma: Yes, and I deserve it. I tried to kill you, the son of the Light Goddess. The very goddess that I worship and follow. That is an unforgivable sin. One that I can’t repent.

Sasha: But you were under Rayna’s control!

Goma: That is not an acceptable excuse!! I am a true demon. I deserve to be tormented here in Hell for eternity.

Zeth: I can promise you that it is an acceptable excuse. We can try to get your sentence overturned in the future.

*Goma looks sad*

Goma: I don’t deserve that. I deserve to be here. As I said… I am a true demon…

Sasha: So now that I think about it, where were you during the final battle with the Dark Goddess? Kogen, Udana, and Fisha showed up but you didn’t. Wouldn’t you have wanted to be there to see the Dark Goddess taken down?

Goma: I couldn’t bring myself to show my pathetic self to the Light Goddess or her son.

Dayna: My father is hurt by his actions even if they were not his fault. Before he met my mother, Rayna, he was a strong devout follower of the Light Goddess. His forced sins have left him broken mentally. I don’t think there is anything that can be said to help him overcome that at this point in time. We’re going to find out how much “time heals all wounds” applies to him.

Zeth: It’s been over 14,000 years though… I don’t think time will heal this if he is still like this after all this time.

Dayna: It’s okay. I will continue to visit my father. I will provide him with company.

Zeth: Okay. We’ll leave it to you.

*Zeth and Sasha continue on. They search through the prison and never find Korobu*

Zeth: This is ridiculous! We can’t find him!

Sasha: Let’s check back with the secretary.

Zeth: Shouldn’t we have asked the secretary where he was in the first place?

*Sasha laughs*

Sasha: I guess so. Just didn’t think about it.

***

*Zeth and Sasha check with the secretary*

Zeth: Can you tell us where Korobu is?

*The secretary gets out a giant book that has the list of all mortals sent to hell. The secretary looks through it*

Secretary: That’s odd.

Sasha: What is it?

Secretary: I don’t see Korobu listed in here.

*Zeth and Sasha are shocked*

Zeth and Sasha: What!!?

*A male demon with big muscles enters the room*

Narrator: The Prison Master.

Prison Master: That’s because Korobu’s soul never showed up in Hell after his death.

*Zeth and Sasha are now extremely shocked*

Sasha: No way!!

Zeth: It can’t be…!!

Narrator: Zeth and Sasha come to the prison of dead mortals sent to Hell to speak to Korobu only to find out his soul never even got sent to Hell! Where is he!?
