Chapter 6

"No! Why would he kill himself?!," Amy asked. 

"I don't know. Was the pressure from school too much?," Ria asked. 

"I don't know. But, now we're back to square one," Ursula said. 

"I think we should go back home now," Mabel said. 

They nodded. 

They were at the local park now. 

"I really can't believe that we're back to the first step! We were so close to finding out about the occult club," Nina said. 

"This is just so weird. We should ask his friends about this," Amy added. 

"What? Krueger's friends?! We don't know about them. We didn't even know anything about Kreuger, too! How can we know about his friends?," Ursula asked. 

"We can ask your brothers," Amy said. 

"But Amy, I don't think our brothers would know. I mean, how would they know who were their club president's friends?," Mabel said. 

"Yeah, that's true. No one would tell their club members so much about themselves," Nina said. 

"What do we do, then? Should we go and tell the Principal we can't do this?," Ursula asked. 

"No! Are you out of your mind? We can't do that, Ursula!," Amy said. 

"Why?! We don't have any clues to lead us on this stupid case. How do we proceed without knowing what to do?!," she said, in protest. 

"That is why I told you guys to not get involved in this! I asked you guys to leave this to me. So, that you wouldn't have to go through this. But, now that you're in on this, you have to stick with me through the end!," Amy said. 

"This is annoying. But, I think I can do what you asked me to. I'll stick with you," Ursula said, looking down. 

"Thank you. I appreciate your help," she said. 

"Sis!," someone yelled. 

They turned around and saw Sawyer running towards them. 

"Sawyer?! Why are you here?," Ursula asked. 

"I've been looking for you since morning. You've got to come home. Mom's sick!," he said, trying to catch his breath. 

"What?! Mom's sick?! What happened to her?," she asked. 

"I don't know. She just fainted while she was cooking today. Her medicine wasn't available in our town. So, Dad went to the next town to buy them for her. Sis, she just wants to see you. Let's go!," he said. 

Ursula gulped. 

"Guys, I'm sorry. We'll continue later with this. I'm leaving. Bye," she said to her friends. 

They nodded. 

"Should I come with you, Ursula?," Nina asked. 

"No, I'll be fine. Sawyer will be home with me. So, I'll be okay," she said. 

"Okay. Take care. I pray for Mrs. Toliver's quick recovery," Nina said. 

She nodded and left.
