Chapter 1:
Found You, My Bride [will be posted later]
As we approached the main gate of the palace, the cheers of the people gave way to the sound of the marching band.
"Proud of Our Kingdom, The Crown Prince, Alexi Eadred Lunaria III, graced with the main yard!"
After this announcement, my horse, Ani got slower. He surpassed the crown and approached to the main entrance of the palace. The announcement voice which was ampified by magic continued to talk but, I couldn't hear because of the screams in the main yard.
The current king and the queen, in other words my parents were waiting at the main entrance. Even though the others were there, I couldn't see them. Well, I didn't care, either.
After a war with a victory, the knights must be greeted by their ladies as soon as they come to capital city. While I dismount, I watched my lady to come closer to me.
Do not get me wrong while I was talking about my lady. If I had a wife or a lover, this story would finish at the first chapter. There are the stories which still goes on even though the main character is married or engaged but, this story is not like those ones. In short, I'm a knight, too. And, my mother, Queen Nutrael is in front of me as my lady.
I knelt down in front of her and "I returned home with a great victory, My Queen," I said. Instead of greeting formally, she bent down and hugged me. "Welcome home, My Prince," she replied.
Yeah, she was not like my lady, but my mother. Her behaviour made the other people surprised but not me, though. However, her next whispered sentences made me shock, too.
"I hope you have a fiancée to whom you will be a knight soon."
Mom... You've never changed in two years.
...
I took a really nice and long bath as soon as I could arrive to my room. We deserved to bath with hot water afterall.
I'm observing myself on the mirror in my room. Giant size of the mirror reminded that I couldn't find to look a mirror properly in two years. I had a little mirror to shave in war area.
The scorching sun of the south has tanned my skin quite a bit. My hair has grown a little longer and is cut unevenly. It's better to call the palace barber before they realize that I cut my hair myself.
When I realized my abs, which had grown even more in two years, my door knucked. I was being called to the main palace for the dinner.
...
As I stepped into the dining room, the celebration of victory outside gave way to an uneasy silence. I sighed once before the greeting the dinner room guardians. I must be attending to the party which was prepared for me.
The scenery in the dining room made me uneasy, too. I thougt there would be the king, the queen and maybe my uncle at the dinner table but, there was only one person there.
As soon as the army arrived to the capital, we had a meeting to disquss the important things about war. We talked everything we should. So, I found this isolated dinner odd.
"Good Evening, His Excellency!" I greeted my father with a respectful smile. The king stood up and greeted me.
As soon as I sat on the chair, my father began to talk.
"We need to talk about your marriage, son."
Damn! They all tarred with the same brush!
