Chapter 15:

Sex and Kisses

Writing is Therapy: The Tale of Two University Students Who Found Love and Understanding Through the Power of Pen and Paper in a World Not Their Own

Nathan had pulled up his feet on the couch, hiding in his hoodie as he watched Johnathan closely.

"Maybe it is good if we talk. I was a complete mess today. I mean... well, you saw..."

"You mean the very explicit sex scene I will not repeat out loud between Lunaria and Soleil? The one I managed to somewhat hide from our entire class after you fainted?"

"The laptop was still open."

"On that exact spot."

Johnathan was now ready to commit, checking his windows to see which one he could jump out of. He could feel the muscles on his face contracting, showing Nathan precisely what was on his mind.

After looking down and contemplating for a moment, Nathan looked up and, with a slightly cold town, asked a single question, "What do you want from me, Johnathan?"

A cold shiver went through the blonde's body as he tried to gauge the brunette's expression. Why was he asking? Did he want to break up? Well, it wasn't like they were dating, but still. A clean break? Distance?

"W-why do you ask?" Johnathan barely got out with a stutter.

Nathan hesitated, looking down as he was looking for words. "I don't mind dating you. I had been thinking about yesterday and today and wasn't ready. Like I said, I do not trust that many for reasons I'm not ready to tell you. But..."

"You're serious?"

"Well, seeing the sweet and passionate words that you wrote did it. There is no way in hell I'm doing any of those things!"

"No, no! I don't want you to be okay, I sort of do, but it was just a silly fantasy. Since chatting with you in the canteen, I couldn't stop thinking about you: your smile, your soft lips, and your hot breath on my ear."

"Ah. And then..." Nathan's face flushed over as the shock started to show on his face, his eyes big as he stuttered slightly.

"You just had to go and read that in that sexy voice of yours. Something in me just... snapped. I think that's about when I saw everything turn black."

"Well, I am not sorry," Nathan stated as he looked away.

"Well though, it might be terrible for my heart and health... it was kinda..."

"Cute-"

"Hot-"

Ah, Gods, what is wrong with me? How could one man be so heartless and cold, incredibly distant and calm? And why couldn't he stop smirking like a degenerate?

"You just have to promise me a few things," Nathan stated, a weird emotion on his face that Johnathan couldn't entirely place, like he was mentally preparing for something.

The two of them, still side to side on the couch, turned their bodies to face each other fully. Johnathan's fingers sought out Nathan's entwining them together. His hand was slightly chilly, and even now, he seemed just as nervous as he was.

"I will agree to any terms of yours, Nathan. It's the least I can do for you. Even I cannot believe you trust an overly excited idiot like me. It's like a dream, and I do not want to wake up."

Nathan chuckled a little before pinching Johnathan's cheek with his free hand. "Not a dream. Even if my anxiety makes him a nightmare, I want to trust you, or at least the love and desire you feel for me."

"Than-"

Johnathan's words were quickly shut down, a set of soft, warm lips against his own, and time seemed to come to a standstill, a moment frozen in time. Only their lips moved slowly and surely. Their hands squeezed each other as their breaths mingled. He could feel his body getting hotter, his breaths more ragged. If only he could push him down here and now, that would only upset Nathan.

With all the willpower he could muster, he held himself back. Their lips parted slightly as they caught their breaths. The two of them stared deep into each other's eyes.

"I'm not doing more than kissing, you know. At least... not now."

Johnathan nodded, trying to get himself under control. "You mind if I go to take a shower? A very, very cold one?"

Nathan couldn't help but chuckle. "Is this the part where I should be saying: Do you want a shower, bath, or do you want me?"

A low groan left him as he watched his new lover. Lover? Wait, did they ever even confirm it?

With a soft hesitation, he decided to ask. "Are we... dating?"

"I think I just told you that answer. Or should I make it clearer?" Nathan said as he leaned in again, placing his lips on Johnathan's. "Does that answer your question?"

"Yes."

Within seconds he could feel a hand on his head, patting him slightly. The touch made him whimper slightly as if electricity coursed through his body. Fuck not again.

"Good boy."

"You really like saying that, don't you?"

A smirk formed on Nathan's lips. "Well, I don't mind kissing you because you like it, and I'm not sexually attracted to you, being ace and all. Seeing you hot and bothered, especially bright red and flustered, it's kinda nice."

"Nate, you sadist," Johnathan muttered, trying to hide his bright red cheeks with his hand.

"Yep, really, really cute. Now take that shower. You look kinda... thirsty."

Another groan left him as he stood up, struggling between grabbing him tightly and not letting go or just calming down. "Can you stop teasing me when I come back? Especially on campus?"

Nathan hesitated momentarily, looking around and fidgeting with his hands before replying. "I'm sorry about that. I want to keep our relationship hidden, Serena being the exception. The emotions just got to me a little bit, and as I said, you are pretty cute when you're dying from embarrassment. I will not do it outside of our houses. I swear."

Johnathan suddenly remembered what he had wanted to ask. "Could you uhm. Remove the chapter? You can delete it if you want to. I would like to honestly get something to eat and work on it with you."

"I'll save it in another document and send you the link. Even if I can't help but feel awkward when reading it, it was well written." Nathan said, scratching his cheek. "Now go take that shower. I will get a drink and start typing. Would you like me to stay over tonight? In case you suddenly faint again?"

"I'm not sure if your staying here will be better or worse for my health. Though it isn't a good question as there is only one answer. Of course. You can take my bed, and I'll sleep here on the couch. But now! A shower." Johnathan said with a meaningful grin as he stood up, kissed Nathan's forehead casually, and walked off.

His heart was racing, his throat parched. It seemed like a dream, but it was reality. They were dating. Lovers. He was dating a man. And it was a secret for every but the woman who was practically his big sister.

He needed that damned cold shower. Now.
