Chapter 25:
Crystal Sky
“Once in a faraway kingdom, there lived a young and cheerful girl. She was kind and always had a bright smile on her face. But one day, a jealous witch tricked her into wearing a cursed necklace.
“Now that you have worn it, you will always hurt others with your words. But you cannot take it off. For if you do, you'll turn to dust and disappear forever.”
“I don't want to hurt anyone!” the girl protested, but the witch disappeared before her eyes.
From that day on, whenever the girl spoke, her words became sharp and hurtful. Eventually, she stopped talking altogether, keeping her feelings locked inside her heart.
While wandering through the woods one day, she discovered a hidden palace. From its balcony, a young prince played a beautiful melody on his violin.
“It's so beautiful!” the girl exclaimed, captivated by the music.
Every day, she would lose herself in the woods, finding her way back to the palace to listen to the prince's enchanting violin. His music became the joy she eagerly anticipated every day.
But one day, as she listened, she tripped and fell.
“Who's there?” the prince asked, unable to see. The girl realized he was blind.
“I'm sorry to scare you.” The girl wanted to tell the prince how she felt, so she mustered the courage. But she had forgotten about her curse.
Her words came out differently “I really hate listening to you play. I hate it!”
Feeling overwhelmed, the girl ran away. Later, she fell ill with a fever, but she couldn't forget the prince and his music. When she finally recovered, she decided to return to the palace.
As she arrived, she stumbled once more, crying out in pain. She thought of leaving, but then she heard the prince's voice.
“Are you the girl who used to come here every day? The one who listened to me play?” the prince called out.
The girl was speechless, unsure of what to say. The prince's voice held longing. “Please don't go. Just listen to me play one more time. I've been practising so you'll like it. Just once more.”
Then the prince took the violin in his hands and poured his heart and soul as he played.
The girl felt her heart swell as she silently heard his music.
“It's so lovely. I want to tell it to him.” The girl thought, but the cursed wouldn't allow her to convey her true feelings.
After the prince finished playing, he asked, “Did you enjoy it this time, the music I made?”
Right then the young girl made her choice, and removed the cursed necklace, prepared for whatever might happen. “Thank you, thank you. I've loved listening to you play. Thank you.”
Expecting to turn to dust, Lily waited, but to her amazement, nothing happened.
The prince smiled warmly and replied, “You're welcome. I'm really glad you enjoyed it.”
From that day on, the young girl and the prince shared their stories through music and unspoken words. She found her voice once more, and together they created a symphony of love and understanding. The witch never appeared again, and the girl and the prince lived happily ever after, cherishing the melodies that connected their hearts.
“”Sometimes words can be tricky. They can even hurt others. But when our hearts find the right words, words that express our true feelings, no curse can turn them, or us, to dust.””
The end.”
