Chapter 5:

You Look So... Different.

Bodyguard Girlfriend

Yugo is anticipating to see Yara. He realized that the Student Council President ran after her to force her to wear the female uniform.

He meets Taki at the entrance to the school, and they were talking about the launch of a new game before entering the classroom. Aizawa sits beside the two and interrupts them.

“Good morning, otaku. All good?”

Yugo immediately stops talking, and only Takashi responds.

“Good morning, Aizawa. Are you going to buy the game too?”

“Eh… I don't even own a video game. I didn't come here for that.”

Then she turns to Yugo with a smile, ignoring Takashi.

“Sosuke, you haven't said anything until now. Like always.”

“G-Good morning, Aizawa.”

“You know what will happen, right?”

“W-What? N-No.”

Yugo is embarrassed and turns his face to the side, he really wants to hide, but he can't. Kotone puts both hands on her hips and, with a silly smile, convinces herself.

“Hmm. You lie very badly.”

Aizawa's smartphone rings, it's the notification of a message she just received from Yara:

“Kotoneeeeeee!!! I can't :'(”

She laughs as she reads the message and leaves the classroom.

“Well, see you later. I have to save someone.”

Confused, Takashi looks at Yugo.

“What will happen?”

“I told you that yesterday.”

“I don't remember.”

The whole class overhears an agitation outside the classroom and is confused. Some try to see what's going on until Aizawa enters the room, holding someone at his side. Yugo expected something different in Yara, but he didn't think it would result in a surprising transformation.

Upon seeing Yara, Yugo is stupefied. Seeing her finally wearing a female uniform was both confusing and wonderful at the same time. He was getting used to the other uniform and felt that here, at this moment, things would be different.

The other students, surprised, don't stop looking at her. That was the first time they saw Yara quiet and embarrassed, and no one had the courage to approach her.

Aizawa was taking Yara to her chair. When she sat down, she lowered her head, hiding her face with her arms crossed on the table, and whispering.

“Kotone, everyone is looking at me.”

“Of course, you look cute.”

“It’s really weird wearing a skirt.”

“Take it easy, you'll soon get used to it.”

Yugo and Aizawa look at each other as she runs her hand over her friend's head, consoling her.

He can't even say a simple "good morning" to her. The new image of Yara left him completely speechless. She looked stunning in her female uniform, and Yugo couldn't look away.

Throughout class, Yugo maintains an uncomfortable distance from Yara, choosing to spend most of his time by Takashi's side. He is dazed and doesn't know how to act in front of this new version of Yara. Meanwhile, Takashi questions Yugo.

“Yugo, why is everyone looking at Yara?”

“What? Don't you see anything different?”

“No. She cut her hair?”

“She changed her uniform!”

“Aaah! Now I get it.”

Then he says it loudly to Yara, giving her a thumbs up.

“So you changed your uniform, Yara. Congrats, you look beautiful!”

Everyone looks at Takashi, including Yara, who is startled by him. Yugo hides his face, wondering why they're still friends. The teacher tells him to be quiet and pay attention.

Yara, in turn, is not happy with the imposition of wearing the female uniform. Although some girls find her cute, she feels uncomfortable and dissatisfied with the situation. To make matters worse, Yugo and the other boys are drooling when they see her thick thighs. Yugo, amidst her enchantment, doesn't realize that Yara is going through a difficult time.

“I have to talk to Kyoka. It cannot stay like this.”

“She is the Student Council President. What will you do?”

“I don't know, but I'll think of something.”

“And you're not going to talk to Sosuke?”

“I don't want him to see me like this.”

“I think he and the whole class have seen you. Haha!”

“But it's different, I'm vulnerable.”

“Vulnerable? Hahaha! You're funny. But at some point you will have to talk to each other.”

Kotone manages to convince her friend and, for the rest of the day, every time Yara tried to get close to Yugo, he walked away or made excuses not to be around, leaving her frustrated. She doesn't understand exactly why Yugo is avoiding her so much and decides to confront him at the end of the day when he is changing his shoes to go home.

“Hey Yugo! Why are you running away from me all day?”

“I…it’s just…ah, it’s nothing.”

Finally cornered, Yugo can't stop stuttering, not quite knowing how to explain his evasive behavior. He fumbles with words.

“Don't lie to me, Yugo. I know you've been avoiding me. What is happening?”

“Well, it's just... you're wearing the female uniform, and... I was kind of… surprised.”

“Surprised? Hmm and what did you think? It wasn't cool, was it?”

Yara is curious and expects confirmation of her statement.

“No! I mean, it's not bad. Actually…”

Yugo lowers his head in embarrassment and speaks in a low voice.

“The uniform suits you well.”

Upon hearing what Yugo said about her, Yara becomes even more embarrassed and starts laughing.

“Hahaha! Wow, I didn't expect such a compliment from you. If I didn't have dark skin, I'd be blushing right now... But you are.”

“Yes…”

Yugo freezes and is unable to speak anymore, Yara then concludes.

“I think it was easier for you to talk to me when I was wearing the male uniform. With short hair, I looked like a boy. Hahaha! I understand, it’s usual for people to get confused with me.”

Such words surprise Yugo.

“A-Are you a psychologist?!”

"Nope, you're an open book. So easy to learn."

Yugo, embarrassed, tries to look away, while Yara continues to laugh. Despite being uncomfortable with the uniform, she thought what he said was cute. The relaxed atmosphere and her laughter eased the tension between them. Yara leaves first and walks towards Kotone.

“So, how was it?”

“Hmm… I think I can get used to this uniform.”

Kotone looks at her friend with a feeling of mission accomplished, as they walk together.

“Hahaha! And the plan?”

“Plan? I didn't think about it properly... Hey, is it normal to feel this breeze down here?”

Yugo leaves school with his friend, and upon returning home, he feels lonely and desperate. Throws himself onto the pillow, hiding his face. The confusion about the date, Yara's new uniform, and her tumultuous feelings left him emotionally drained.
