Chapter 640: Grant’s Incredible Power

Narrator: Back to the big battle between angels and demons in the pyramid’s grand hall.

The angels and demons continue to clash with casualties mounting up for both sides. Froid continues tending to the wounded at the side entrance of the room where the demons initially came from. Froid blows out a puff of smoke after taking a cigarette out from between his lips.

“Can we hold out long enough for Ivy and the others to finish their objectives?” Froid wonders.

Oshon, the humanoid tiger demon, stands by Froid’s side.

“All we can do is believe. The fact that none of Daren’s big shots have shown up yet is a good sign, I reckon.” Oshon says.

“You may be right. But we must also worry about being flanked from behind.” Froid responds.

“Hopefully, the others were able to take out any forces that could approach us from the other way. Regardless, we will just have to adapt to whatever they throw at us.” Oshon states.

Froid once again takes out his cigarette to blow out a puff of smoke as he continues to handle the wounded demons.

Over on the angels’ side, a male commanding angel is watching the fighting while he grits his teeth. A female angel walks up to him from behind.

“Sir, I have a report.” The female angel states.

The commanding angel turns around and asks, “What is it?” A nervous sweat begins flowing down his forehead.

“Intruders have been seen in other parts of the pyramid.” The female angel confirms.

“What!!?” The commanding angel shouts in shock. “Is that true!?”

The female angel nods.

The commanding angel turns back around to continue overseeing the fight and more sweat starts to flow down from his forehead and now his cheeks.

“What is going on here?” He mumbles to himself.

Narrator: Back with Sasha who is fighting Grant.

Sasha tries to punch Grant but he fades into pure light.

“Damn it! How can I not land a hit!” Sasha shouts in annoyance.

Suddenly, a light starts surrounding Sasha. Grant’s body forms within the light and he kicks her in the gut, causing her to cough up blood as she knocked back against a wall.

“So far, I’m not impressed. If there is anything that I don’t do, it’s underestimating my opponents. I can tell that you are holding back. I want to see your power.” Grant comments.

Sasha coughs a bit more and then pushes off against the wall. “I’m happy to oblige!” She shouts.

Sasha goes into her True Demonic Release. She stares at Grant with a sadistic smile. “By the time I’m done with you, you will be Hellhound food.” She says with sadistic desire.

Sasha takes a deep breath, moves her arms upwards, and then brings them back down in a semi-circle shape. She then instantly vanishes and appears right in front of Grant with her fingers extended. However, Sasha is shocked as she sees Grant’s hand grabbing her hand, completely stopping her attack.

Sasha thinks to herself in shock. (“That attack is instant! Only those with very strong instincts should be able to stop it! His speed is that great!?”)

Grant stares at Sasha, still not impressed. “I see what your attack was supposed to do… but you will never beat me in a battle of speed.”

Grant begins using his other hand to grab Sasha’s index finger and starts bending it. Sasha screams in pain. “Aaaaahhh!! AAAAHHHH!!!”

In desperation, Sasha tries to kick Grant but he quickly leans his whole body back to avoid it, but he lets go of Sasha’s hand in the process. She forms a Black Energy Ball and releases it at Grant. He easily jumps out of the way to avoid it. Sasha dashes toward Grant to try to rapidly punch and then kick him but he blocks or dodges all of them.

Grant throws two quick punches, the first of which hits Sasha in the face, and the second hits her in the gut. Both punches leave her in a lot of pain. He then swipes her with his arm which knocks her back and her body starts rag-dolling against the ground in the process.

Sasha coughs up more blood as she slowly starts to stand. She has wounds all over her body. She breathes heavily as she speaks. “You… you’re even stronger than my sister… For as strong as you are, it makes sense that you would be guarding the source of the light that keeps all of the killer plants alive…”

“Guarding the source?” Grant softly speaks. “No. I AM the source. My light powers everything here. For as long as I stand, the plants in this pyramid will continue to thrive and attack your friends.” He confirms.

Sasha opens her eyes wide in shock. “This makes it even more important that I take you down!”

She gets back into a battle stance. “I won’t lose to you!”

Narrator: Back to Dusk, Herbie, and Lavana.

The killer plants in the very large all start trying to attack Dusk, Herbie, and Lavana.

Lava begins emitting from Lavana’s hands. She shouts, “Attack!!”

Lavana releases lava and burns some of the killer plants that lunge toward her, killing them.

“These plants stand no chance against my lava!” Lavana shouts.

Dusk releases a massive shadowy hand from his own hand. He grasps his hand which causes the massive shadowy hand to grasp the lunging killer plants. He yanks back, allowing the massive shadowy hand to yank the killer plants from their roots, killing them.

“Just doing some yard work!” Dusk shouts with a smirk on his face.

Flowers begin growing out from the floor in front of Herbie. they start releasing a pollen substance toward the killer plants. The pollen begins exploding, killing the killer plants.

“No other plants can defeat the master of plants!” Herbie shouts confidently.

However, light shines into the room and revives all of the killer plants.

“Oh, lovely…” Lavana says with a disappointed tone.

Someone walks into the room from a high-up point and stands at the edge of the platform, looking down at the three demons. The person is a female angel who has dark green hair in long pigtails. She is wearing a white angel dress. She looks youthful, like a human in their 20s.

Narrator: Angel of Flora World – Lilly.

“Well, what do we have here? Some intruders that wish to become plant food.” Lilly says with a mocking tone.

The three demons look up to see her.

“Who the hell is this chick?” Herbie asks with an unimpressed tone.

“Hmph. Such disrespect. My name is Lilly and you have fallen into my chamber. This place is my garden.” Lilly states.

“We didn’t choose to enter this place. In fact, we would like to leave.” Dusk states with a bored tone.

“You won’t be going anywhere. You three demons will be nothing but bones after this. You will all perish thanks to my Plant Life Magic!” Lilly shouts with confidence as she spreads out her arms.

A wave of whitish-yellow magic spreads out and starts covering all of the plants. The plants begin to evolve and even start growing humanoid limbs.

Lavana grits her teeth as she looks around the room. “This combined with their ability to instantly revive? We’re going to be in for a serious battle.”

Narrator: The battles continue! Sasha finds herself in a struggle against Grant while Lavana, Dusk, and Herbigon all find themselves surrounded by instant revival, evolving plants!
