Who is that guy? Your boyfriend?

A few days after the study session, when Hiroshi was studying on his own, he saw a book lying around which he didn't recognise. It wasn't one of his books. But he didn't remember borrowing books either. So he checked to which person that book belongs to. As he predicted, that book belonged to Yuki.

It wasn't that important for her now. Because the exam had ended. So Hiroshi decided to take the book next day and deliver it to Yuki at her school. He went with the plan. Actually, he wanted to see in which school Yuki studied.

Yuki told him where her school was previously. So it was easy for Hiroshi to find it. The next day, upon reaching there, he saw just as he expected. It wasn't a big school. Probably holds around three hundred or five hundred students. It was single storied.

But it was good that there was a bench outside to sit. It would be awkward to just stand in front of the gate. He sat down and began to do his own homework. He has school too. As he was doing his own thing, the students there would just stare. Sometimes they would even stop by for a few seconds.

"Who is this guy?"

"Why is a student from such a prestigious school in front of our school?"

"Is he waiting for someone?"

Hiroshi kind of got weirded out. He was feeling awkward about everybody looking at him. He didn't know how to react.

In the mean time, Yuki was walking to her school. She saw a small crowd in front of the school gate. It made her curious a bit. As she was walking by, she saw Hiroshi. She got flustered a bit. What is he doing here?

Hiroshi also noticed Yuki. As he is introverted to some extent, he didn't just call out. Yuki was standing, so he got up and went to her. Just then, she grabbed him by the hand and took him to a place where no one would see him. Yuki's friends was shocked too. Yuki has a boyfriend? How is that possible? Well, it wouldn't be fun if they didn't tease her a bit.

Yuki took Hiroshi away from the crowd and asked,

"Why are you here?"

"Sorry."

"I am not angry. Just tell me."

"You forgot this book. You left it in my apartment."

"You could've just texted me."

He totally forgot that he had a phone and Yuki's contact number. Well, Yuki knew that he had forgotten. She was just surprised that he came all the way here just to hand out a book that she left behind. Her school was pretty far away too.

Yuki has a few friends in her school. One of them sneaked behind her and pushed her a bit. She is a bit airhead type, so she didn't know what was going on. The other friends watching Yuki and Hiroshi thought that they had to interfere in this situation.

Yuki got pushed and was about to fall to the ground. Luckily, Hiroshi was there to save her. He grabbed Yuki and saved her from falling. Yuki regained her balance and thanked Hiroshi. Then she hit her airhead friend at the head.

"Why did you do that Yuki-chan. It hurts."

"I was about to fall, idiot."

"And also, who is that guy? Your boyfriend?"

"N-no. He is my onii-chan."

[Don't get it wrong here. 'Onii-chan' means 'big brother' in Japanese. Nothing else.]

"Is that so?"

Even Hiroshi was surprised. She didn't want anybody to know that she had a boyfriend. It is her circumstances, and if anybody knew about their relationship, her life as the Quixotic Predator might become hard. Although theirs is a fake relationship, I don't think anybody would believe that. Thats because they were acting like a real couple.

Hiroshi's work ended there. He was about to leave. But before he left, Yuki handed him a bento for him to eat during lunch period. Because she knew he was going to eat nothing. As he was going, Yuki's friends decided to go to her and ask her about it.

"Hey Yuki, are you gonna let him go just like that?"

"What do you mean?"

"He's your boyfriend. Be more possessive."

"He is just my brother."

"Is that so? Hmm... then would you mind if I take him?"

"Huh?"

"Answer me."

"No comment."

"I see."

"Now be more possessive about your 'Onii-chan'. Go and walk with him. He doesn't want to walk alone, does he?"

"But I have classes."

"I will handle the teachers. Just go."

They pushed her with Hiroshi. Meanwhile, the airhead friend didn't know what was going on. She actually believed that Hiroshi was Yuki's brother. Yuki's other friends explained to her that Hiroshi was Yuki's boyfriend instead of her brother. She was just telling that to hide it. To which she was very shocked.

On the other hand, things were getting awkward between Yuki and Hiroshi.

"Umm, do you need something?", asked Hiroshi.

"No."

"Then? Is there something wrong? Are you troubled or anything?"

"No. My friends pushed me to walk you to the school."

"If you don't like it, you can just leave. No need to force yourself."

"Its not like that."

"Then?"

"Its just that... you walk a bit faster than I do. Its a bit hard for me to catch up."

"I see. Sorry."

Hiroshi changed his pace to fit that of Yuki's. He didn't know he had to do that. Nobody taught him of that. After walking around halfway, they parted ways.

"This much is okay. I can go to school on my own now. You have classes too."

"Okay."

Everything went fine. But when she came back to her class, everyone seemed to be different. They were acting different. As if they were expecting something. Yuki could feel that something is about to happen. And it is something bad.

Yep. They started interrogating her.

"Who is he?"

"You boyfriend?"

"When did you even get a boyfriend?"

"Plus, he is from the prestigious Ryutaro High School."

"He is cute too."

"How many times did you two do?"

"We didn't do anything. And this is too many questions for me to answer."

Seems like she wasn't able to hide the fact that she had a boyfriend for long. She was tired of answering all their questions all day long. After school, she went to a nearby vending machine to buy something to drink. But unluckily, it got stuck. It was her last bit of money that she bought to school that day, so she didn't have any more money.

Without any hope, she went to the nearby bench and sat with her eyes closed. She was tired because of school too. She was sleepy. As she was almost about to fall asleep, she felt a shivering cold. Somebody put a cold can on her shoulder. She got surprised, but it was Hiroshi who did that. Then he handed her something.

"Here you go."

"What's this?"

"Your lunch box that you gave me and your drink that got stuck."

"You seem tired. Should I walk you home?"

"Carry me home."

"Huh?"

"Just kidding-"

Yuki was just making fun and joking. But she was genuinely surprised that Hiroshi actually agreed to her and sat down so that she can get on his back and he could carry her home. She was flustered too.

"Are you gonna get on or not?"

She decided that resisting should be of no use. She got up. As he was walking down to her house, he looked back. Yuki was peacefully sleeping on his shoulder. He somehow felt reliable for causing her trouble. Hiroshi found her sleeping face to be kind of cute, before coming back to his senses.
