Chapter 14:

Part 14: Cast Aside

StarSpace: Tales Of The Time Keeper

“I can only help you one way Omnikra, but it will require you to see your fate through to the end. Do you believe The New Guardian is all you are made for? That your potential is limited to the ones you are forced to interact with?“

Upon me saying this, the weapon hovered over next to where I was while watching the sun rise at the crack of dawn.

“I am sure that when I meet them, then I can find my true purpose as I was once.”

“You hope too much. Although it is true that you desire to serve Prism, I know well enough that you cannot be free just by finding yourself in someone else. There is a large difference between relatability and relativity. Either you feel for them or you are a part of them. Do you truly understand those you seek?”

The blades seemed to have paused in bewilderment. Perhaps these words were true to itself. That the journey they thought was theirs, wasn’t really for them to discover anything. For a waste of time is more felt because of a fulfillment made to benefit the struggles you apprehend. What becomes an attempt to achieve can be just as devastating as the failures one tacks on. Bathe in these unconnected successes and you shall see stagnation. Stagnancy falters effort. The result becomes a terrible loss of interest in all that you are. Then that very cycle repeats.

Prism didn’t hate Omnikra. It simply chose to be its own. To think for itself and abide by those rules. Had this weapon became The Master’s tool of creation, we would not exist. In this sense, by reason of abandoning something new, it has come to haunt us apparently. Is The New Guardian a force of good or evil change? To me, it takes on the presence of a mere dream made real in the balance of both forces.

“Listen closely. While The New Guardian is what tasks you into being you, it will likely not be as you envisioned. I suggest you go to the Iternua Temple located in Prima. There, Emeraldion may offer some sort of peace to what path you are looking to follow.”

“I have never been there before. How do I even know where to start?”

Since Omnikra’s power was immense, just taking it there didn’t feel like a proper way for it to earn this. It needed a preceptor.

“I want you to consider this. This place where I reside, must be guarded at all times by me. You said you met other versions of me, correct?

“Yes.”

“Then go to the last world which held one and they can show you where to go. I already control all of them, so there is no need to fear rejection. However, I suggest you keep all of that in mind. Whatever is shown to you, do not take it for granted.”

“Alright. I appreciate your timely reply. I suppose there is some good to be had in you, Amethion. I just do not see it in the other guardians. They tend to be cruel because of what I once represented.”

The weapon left as I watched the sun shining brighter above the mountains, contemplating the view whilst pondering on what it said.

In my many years of being a guardian, never has anyone said to me that I was capable of good.

Ever.
