Chapter 35:

For the last time

Dreams of Reality

I am starting to get worried about Alan. It's been more than a week since I heard a word from him and some unpleasant thoughts are starting to run through my head. I'll text him when I get back home. No shot it's anything serious, and if is, there is no way it's connected
to what happened in school recently. I hope so.

I had my question about why he wasn't at school all this time ready, but I was a little hesitant about sending it. Is it a good idea? I didn't want to sprinkle salt into a wound. But still,
I want to know what is going on. I hope he responds. I mean, I didn't do anything bad to him, but that's what I think. After a few hours, he replied.

"I broke my leg on the weekend, so I've been in hospital for some time and now I am home but I am not moving much because I can't walk with crutches."

"Is it really that hard?"

"It is for me. It feels weird and not safe. I can't get the hold of it"
"So you won't be coming to school any time soon because you can't use crutches? Broken bones heal for a long time, I don't think you can miss that many classes."

"Yeah, all I can do is practice."

After that, I wished him a speedy recovery and nothing else happened. From the texts,
it seems like he is doing okay, besides the leg. I am not surprised that something like this is the reason why he's not going to school now. Even if the rejection hurt him, he has more serious problems to worry about.

That's one thing taken care of, but tomorrow I have to go to Shara's place. Not particularly excited about that. It wasn't that bad last time, but I don't think there's a need for a second round in my humble opinion. I said yes, so I'll not think about it anymore and hope everything will go smoothly.
