Chapter 12:

"Drama at the Beach"

The Star in the Night Sky

After we ate breakfast the next day, the buses that dropped us off returned to take us to the beach. Since Hirizo Beach could only be accessed by boat, we headed to the nearby ferry. The ferry traveled to Hirizo Beach every 5 minutes. Since there was a large number of students with all the classes, multiple trips had to be taken to the beach. Hirizo Beach as just as beautiful as I remembered, the crystal-clear water made the views breathtaking. Many of the students looked around in awe, as they took in the view.

"Shiro... this place is amazing."

Hiyori had said to me.

"Yea... it's beautiful, isn't it?"

She nodded as other students ran towards the water or laid in the sand to tan. I was so happy to be here again.

"Hey!!! Shiro! Hiyori!"

When I turned around, I saw Seira and Takada running in our direction. As I watched them come towards us, I was blown away by Seira's beauty. The way her skin glistened in the sunlight, even further illuminated her.

"Where have you two been?"
"Class reps have been busy with the teachers about the remainder of the trip."
"That makes sense, I guess you guys have been pretty busy huh?"
"Yep! But we should be fine to enjoy the rest of the trip."

I was happy to hear this, I was determined to share my feelings with Seira... I really wanted to get closer to her, ever since I met her. We had all sat near the water, taking in the views and enjoying each other's company.

"This is nice... don't you think?"
"Yea I could get used to this."

As time went by, Takada and Hiyori had left to talk to their other friend groups, leaving Seira and I laying in the sand. I don't know how much time I spent just lying next to her in the sand. All I knew, is that I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now. As we laid down, we heard slight yelling from the other side of the beach. Since it didn't involve us, we tried to tune it out and continue enjoying each other's company.

"I heard you say that you've been here before. How long ago was that?"
"It's been probably... 10 years now."
"Are you happy to visit here again?"
"I am... thank you Seira."
"For what?"
"For your part in making this our trip."

She giggled a little as she turned her head to face me. As we looked at each other, we didn't realize at first how close we were. As we did, we both quickly looked away. The yelling that we had heard earlier, had steadily gotten louder. It was to the point to where we no longer could tune it out. When we got up to see what was going on, we witnessed a large fight break out between a few students in another class. We didn't really know what was going on, or what even started the fight, but it was something that needed to be ended quickly. As we saw more students try to join the fight or break it up, the worse it got. The fight had finally gotten the attention of the teachers, as they rushed to break it up. It took more than a few teachers to break up the fight, as it had gotten serious. When the fight finally dissipated, around 8 students had bruises on them. Due to the fight, everyone was ordered back to the buses as our beach trip got cut short.

"Ugh! No fair!"
"Why is it always them that fight..."
"The teachers shouldn't have allowed them on this trip."
"God, I hate them so much..."

A wave of complaints immediately rolled in, and rightfully so. We shouldn't all be taking the blame for a couple of idiots. I knew those student's that got into the fight, they were known for causing trouble quite often. They had a pretty bad reputation at the school, but I never saw them because they were always in trouble. I agree with what someone said earlier, why were they even allowed to come on this trip? Once we got back to the hotel, the teachers wasted no time in finding out the cause of the fight. It turns out, they were fighting over a girl. It wasn't no shock to me, but it made me laugh. Mainly because they were in the same boat as me, single. Due to the severity of the situation, all the class reps were pulled into a meeting with the teachers to discuss what should happen. As I sat at a table, I notice Hiyori come up to me. She looked pretty sad as she pulled up a chair.

"This is no fair... I was really looking forward to this trip Shiro."
"I know, I was to... but at least we got to come here in the first place, right?
"Yea... I guess you're right about that."

As I looked around the cafeteria, I saw all the sad faces of the students who were so excited for this trip. Many of them had done research on places in the area that they wanted to visit, and the thought of that chance being taken away by some idiots infuriated them. For once, I actually felt bad for the rest of my classmates. Sure, I still disliked a bunch of them, but even I think they deserved this. The anticipation of what was going to happen, was all that we could think about. Although we had been given permission to still do as we liked in the hotel. Although everyone was agonizing over the trip being cut short, with the green light to still enjoy the activities inside the hotel, everyone started exiting the cafeteria do their own thing. Many of the girls when to the spa while it was still open. Meanwhile, most of the guys headed back to their rooms, since many of them had brought games from home. As I was about to head back to my room, Hiyori had begun tugging on my sleeve. It startled me a bit, and I was about to ask her what she needed, but before I could, she leaned in towards me and whispered in my ear:

"Hey Shiro... could you follow me into the hallway? There's something I want to tell you..."
