Chapter 63:

The Serika Rescue mission Part 1: The hat that sensei gave me

Escape Witch

Harumi watched as Madoka and Emeri ran off. She then received a call, informing her that the mansion was fine and decided to head back.

“*Sigh* It would have been nice to at least spend some more time with them, but hopefully they can take out that bastard before he flees the country,” Harumi thought.

                                                                           …

Serika screamed as loudly as she could while Akuma carried her off.

“SHUT UP YOU BITCH!” Akuma yelled.

“The hell even are you you freak!?” Serika asked.

“Oh, you don’t even recognize me by instinct? I’m Akuma Ookuma, Mao.”

Serika went pale upon hearing the revelation.

“I heard you’ve been quite rebellious, I’ll be judge and jury when I put you on trial for the taboos,” Akuma screeched.

“GO TO HELL YOU PIECE OF SHIT!” Serika spat.

Akuma briefly landed and proceeded to gag Serika.

“Much better,” he sneered before taking off again.

He then noticed something below and changed course.

“Shit, I think he noticed us,” Madoka growled.

“He’s heading towards the airport. Shit, our passports are in our backpacks. Maybe Yuni can go fetch them from the station,” Emeri said.

                                                                                …

Yuni stared at the bloody imprint in the ground.

“Guess this is where she fell, though I’m surprised the authorities are gone. Well, I guess I don’t need to worry about them questioning me now,” Yuni thought as she pulled out her phone.

After conversing with Emeri, she ran for the station.

“I hope they’re not closed, it’s after midnight after all.”

                                                                             …

As Yuni reached the station, she ran into a hobbling Tetsuka.

“Those wounds, are they real?” Yuni asked as she went on guard.

“Yuni? Oh, I just had a real nasty scrap,” Tetsuka smiled as she took a bite out of the metal door handle.

Yuni relaxed and explained everything.

“Huh? Some hairless freak tried to mimic me? Well, anyway, the place looks closed, but I’ll help you get your stuff, wait here,” Tetsuka smiled as she charged inside.

She returned a few minutes later with everyone’s backpacks.

“Thank you so much, here take these as thanks,” Yuni smiled as she handed Tetsuka the metal box, key, and dagger.

“Looks like there’s a story here. Well thanks for giving your mementos to me. I’ll bring em back home before eatin em though. Ka-san might wanna look at some of this stuff,” Tetsuka smiled as Yuni ran off.

It was difficult for her to carry all four backpacks, but she did her best as she headed for the airport.

                                                                           …

Akuma landed on the tarmac in front of a private plane.

“Where do you wish to go master?” the guard asked.

Serika’s eyes widened when she heard the answer.

“Shit, there’s no way they’ll be able to find me. If only- “

Serika’s thoughts were interrupted by the wind blowing her hat away.

“That was the hat sensei- _! Maybe. Just maybe, there’s still hope for me,” Serika thought.

                                                                          …

As Yuni reached the airport, she saw Madoka and Emeri waiting for her.

“Do you know where he took her?” Yuni asked as she handed them their backpacks.

“Sadly no,” Emeri sighed.

“I think I can help with that, Ojou-chans,” a voice rang out.

The girls turned to notice Zeno holding Serika’s hat.

“Zeno, right?” Madoka asked.

“You know him?” asked Yuni.

“He helped save us; I think he’s working with momma.”

“Well, that’s the simplified answer. Oh yeah, your purple haired friend is safe. Good luck, we’ll probably have some backup pursue them too,” Zeno waved as he handed off Serika's hat and walked away.

The girls examined Serika’s hat for any kind of message.

“Hmm? The flower feels a bit heavier than your typical fake flower,” Yuni said as she examined it.

Suddenly a recording began to play.

“Where do you wish to go Master?

“Iceland.”

“ICELAND!?” the girls exclaimed.

“I think there’s still a flight for Iceland, let’s go for it,” Emeri stated.

                                                                            …

Harumi sighed as she got off the phone with Emeri. She was back in the mansion and lounging on a sofa.

“Iceland huh?” she muttered.

“Iceland? They have some sweet volcanoes,” Tetsuka said as she walked in.

“What’s with the box and dagger?”

“Yuni got em and said I could eat em. Looks like there’s a story considering the box is stabbed. I figured I'd show em to you in case they were something valuable. ”

Harumi gazed at the dagger.

“Hmm, looks like there’s a code on it. I wonder if it’s the code for this box.”

"Probably, Oh yeah, Yuni also gave me this key," Tetsuka smiled as she placed the key on the low table.

Harumi instantly grabbed the key and stared at it.

“Huh? Ka-san? Why’re you starin so intently at that key?” Tetsuka asked.

“I think we just found a breakthrough in the war against Illumous,” Harumi smiled.

                                                                            …

In a dark conference room, 13 people gathered. Some in person, some via video hologram.

“We will now begin the meeting of the council of 13 discussing the aftermath of this great setback,” the shadowy chairman stated.

“We have lost two council members, Vaan and Antonio. The next in line shall be their replacements. From the Bombino family, Nitro Bombino shall now be the new head,” the chairmen stated as a middle-aged red-haired man nodded in approval.

“And as for Vaan’s replacement…” the chairman groaned.

A spotlight shown on the center of the conference table as Vaan’s replacement introduced himself in a musical manner.

“Yo Yoi! I am the greatest criminal from the depths of Edo. The great daimyo of organized crime. Everyone fears my name! For every atrocity, I have attained! Murder! Kidnapping! Drug Smuggling! None can match my Might! Theft! Assault! War Crimes! All now fear my wrath! With my evil ninjitsu I will conquer all that’s good. They say Jesters are the fools, WELL WHO'S LAUGHING NOW DUMBASS! Lalalalalala! Jester-sama is the evil, dastardly, wicked, inhumane, dark ninjutsu daimyo! Oh oh oh oh! Yooooooo!”

The entire council groaned as Jester took his seat.

“Our collective IQ level has just dropped,” Kasumi glared.

“I’m one of the baddest guys here!” Jester huffed as he flipped her off.

“No, I was also referring to the great failure the M. family failed to prevent.”

“The head of the M. family glared as everyone’s eyes gazed towards him.

“Melinda has been discarded. Nadea may now do as she pleases with her,” he stated.

“Don’t play dumb. I heard from Melinda how confident she was about this plan. SO confident that she even took the M. family’s key to the depository to use as a wager,” Kasumi glared.

“AH! That’s right! She had a key box when we were heading to the castle,” Jester stated.

“Simon, this is a grave miscalculation. I would highly advise you rectify this mistake,” the chairman growled.

                                                                         …

Yuni, Emeri, and Madoka anxiously perked up as their plane landed in Iceland.

“I sure hope we get a lead,” Emeri stated.
