Change of plans

"Was sitting in your bedroom part, not knowing what to do part of the original idea? What do you want to do now?"

"You want to go home? I am not forcing you to be here."

"Come on, I didn't mean it like that. Besides, it would be rude to go home when I just came here."

"I am also surprised how everything went, but things were a little hectic and we didn't manage to talk to each other as much as we used to, so I figured out this could be a good opportunity to spend some time together."

       The way she said it blew away all my worries about our friendship falling apart. I didn't expect this at all. "Wanna play a board game? I play it alone all the time, but I never got the chance to play it with someone."

"Sure, why not?" I've never seen someone play board games alone. Sure, you can but isn't the point of it playing it with a group of people?

"There is something I wanted to ask you, but I don't know if you want to talk about it,"
       I asked, watching her prepare that game. I am not sure if it's a good idea to bring it to the table this fast. I want to know if she is okay or if Alan is bothering her. That would be an issue given how she reacted to the whole situation. She seems okay, though.

"Is it about Alan?"

 "Yeah."

"Listen, I've been thinking about it since it happened and I know the way I reacted to the whole situation was quite... I don't know, I was just shocked I guess. But things like this don't make me fall apart okay? It was a first time and now I would have handled it differently. I am in the same place as I was before."

She continued convincing me about how she moved on. I got the feeling of her thinking that I am mad at her. I was worried instead.

"That's good to hear that you don't pay it much mind. Alan seems also fine, but he broke his leg, and that's why he's not coming to school all this time."

 "Ou, is he okay?"

 "Probably yes. Did he text you or something after all that?"

"No." she sat across from me and propped her head up. "I am a little worried about how it will be in school. It won't be nice to be around someone who asks you out every day."

"That's why I would never date anyone from the same class."

 "YOU dated someone?"

 "Are you making fun of me? Cause I wasn't the one panicking and all that after someone told me I like you."

 "Okay, you got me there." we both laughed. "I guess we will have to wait till he comes to school to see how things gonna be from now on."

"Yeah, but I don't expect something to change really. Maybe when your eyes meet, it will be more awkward than usual but besides that, I believe everything will be the same."

 "I hope you are right."
