Chapter 25:

Part 25: Secrets Uncovered

StarSpace: Tales Of The Time Keeper

“I haven’t told you guardians the full enactment of what will occur by Fate:

This is The New Guardian’s lore.

Only one can wield the blades of four.

A being pure and humble at the core.

They will have its power for evermore.

To face a plight in order to restore.

The protector’s confidence to explore.

And save realities from a threat never seen before.

Infinity awaits The End, heretofore.”

As The Imperceptible stated this, I was surprised to see that in the vision, there was an empty prison room with this glowing white unidentifiable blob gushing out from the walls behind one cell onto the ground. It seemed to turn into nothingness upon impact, only to reform and fly mid-air. The entire embodiment of the cell surrounding it became white and crusty. As for the blob, it transformed into a diamond-like shape. The similarities between it and Styra’s symbol on her suit were interesting.

Suddenly, the cell started turning into a specially locked portal for various realities, flickering through each of them with ease.

“That is The New Guardian. At that moment in time, it is searching for any abnormalities throughout the Omniverse after having awakened from hibernation untouched. Styra and Omnikra have already been here before this happens. Now you remember when Strage and Creperus broke The Illuminator Of Reality, correct?”

“I do. What exactly does that have to deal with what I’m seeing right now?”

“Prism’s true form is The Lucid Darkness, Amethion. It created The Illuminator Of Reality as a tool that would allow it to become The Second Creator rather than serve as The First Destroyer underneath the first one. The First Creator wants to end itself at the cost of Prism’s dreams. Meeting one common goal, they agreed. Now the process is unfolding on creation itself. What this means is that all realities will reach their first snapping point.”

First snapping point? So the real reason why none of us knew who the Creator was is because Prism probably didn’t want anyone to know it knew. In order to succeed at that first end, a second beginning had to take its place. As I was thinking this, The Imperceptible continued to elaborate.

“Nature is changing accordingly. A Creator’s will matches the operation of its creation in a constant. As of right now, that will is for everything to reach a steady death since Prism is trying to find equivalence in what must be destroyed by order of importance. The problem is their rulesets for creation were intertwined due to Prism’s impatience. As you described it, it has caused chaos for lower forms of life.”

So it was all a settled decision trying to process itself. It wanted us to help destroy The First Creator’s dreams rather than attempt coexisting peacefully? My anger raged indeterminate feelings. It had lied to us for years on end. The First Omniverse was going to die and Prism was its replacement by destroying life that wasn’t created of its ideals. How selfish.

“I’ve been lied to. Here I am, thinking I am protecting The Omniverse when all of this time I was killing it. I had doubts established at first, but now I have no choice but to stop this nonsense. What sense is there in these new rules? One which has disturbed me to no end is that in order for one to live, one must also be taken. It is infuriating that they haven’t considered the value of creation without taking something away. Value can be infinite and yet to Prism, death exceeds this expectation.”

Prism was clearly jealous. Perhaps I would rather operate from The Infinite Dimension if it meant not being under its control. After all, The Imperceptible showed me the truth. If my demise was here, I had no choice but to hand the mantle to Styra. She may not have been The New Guardian, but I was the first to give her a chance at allowing her to seek that potential. She knew something was wrong and so did I.

“Imperceptible, before whatever happens to me does occur, I must send that message to her ally who is connected with this specific dimension. How do I do it?”

A pause between us suddenly turned into a soured interaction.

“Amethion, while Prism may seem evil to you, it is The First Creator’s choice. It cannot be helped that The End will happen for the first time. You can only rest assured that it is no longer your time to exist.”

No longer my time to exist. When was that “time” exactly? While I pondered that question, an unknown noise made this echoing rumble inside The Infinite Dimension.

“What is that?” I asked with mild concern.

The Imperceptible said nothing.
