Chapter 3: So Close, Yet So Far...

Me and Genny run as fast as we can, until we eventually reach the forest. “Where are we going Gen?” Genny glares at me while we run. “Okay. I already told you not to call me that.”

Luckily,

She did not get hit for that.

“But anyway, when that person was running away, I got a slight glance as to what their outfit looked like. They had a mask, with a small upside down sword on it. If you remember, that is what the Xcaliburs’ symbole is.” I nod. “That makes sense...” Bringing that name up to me was more than a bad memory. They took my parents away from me. THEY did this.

Two unnecessary, But noteworthy notes.

Emily Wattson was always a loner. She would always be one in the end.

I seem a little down after she said the name. Genny seems to take notice. “...Hey. I am sorry for bringing up that organization, but you need to know who it may be so we have a clue as to where Olivia is, or at least could be.” I nod again. I understood completely. “It is fine, I get it...” Then, low and behold, our probable target. The Xcaliburs’ headquarters. “Ok, we need a plan before we bust in there.” Genny says. “Yeah, I agree.” I respond. We hide behind trees.

A friend that seems near, But yet so far.

“...ok. They have 4 well trained guards standing at the entrance. If we can either knock them out or find another way in, we could get inside. But then again, we have to be careful about the security precautions they have.” I nod, understanding what she mean’t. We stand there, thinking. “...you know...” Genny says. She starts to grin. Genny only grins anymore if she has something bad in mind. “If neither of those work... We could always initiate plan initiate!” She grins as she puts her hand on her sword. I caught on quick. “Genny, no! We are not doing that!” I state. “I mean, if we have to...” Genny says. “NO! Absolutely not! Sure, they may have... You know, done that to my parents. But that still does not excuse the fact that they are human beings too!” Genny’s grin fades, and he moves her hand away from the sword. “You’re no fun, goody tooshoes...” She mumbles. There is some awkward silence, before she gets an actual good idea. “How about this, I use the dull edge of my sword to knock them out. Or if you are down for it, you could use some ice magic.” Genny suggests. I think for a second. “I have no idea how to use ice magic Genny, I practiced most really except ice. That one was discovered after I stopped learning to use elemental magic. To put it simple, I only know basic elemental magic.” Genny lightly kick the dirt beneath her. “Damn... I mean, I have been studing elemental magic for years, maybe I could try it?” Genny suggests. I think some more. “...fine. But what do we do if our plan fails?” Genny thinks. “Plan B could be just the dull edge of my sword. You studied the human body, right? You should know the weak points that could possibly get them weak, or to knock them out.” I imagine how it goes in my head. After a little, I nod. “Ok, but no killing them, got it?” She thinks for a moment before responding. “Fine, no promises though.” I shrug. “Ok, let’s go then!” Me sneak to the sides where 2 guards stand on each side. Well, here we go. Time to try plan A.
