Chapter 650:

Chapter 664: The Barrenness of Planet Pylon

Beyond The Stars

Chapter 664: The Barrenness of Planet Pylon

Narrator: Back with Zeth who is still restrained in a prison cell.

Zeth looks down at the floor with a sad look, his face still covered in blood from Ronzic’s punches.

Suddenly, a small chunk of the dark stone wall to his left breaks off, forming a small hole. A Hell Rat comes through the hole and it is holding a note.

With an almost dead expression, Zeth looks down at the Hell Rat. “A Hell Rat…?”

The Hell Rat drops the note on the floor so Zeth can see it. He begins reading the note in his head. The note says, “It’s Sasha. I feel awful that you are locked up in this prison cell. I hope you did not think I was betraying you or anything. When the time comes, I will break you out of this prison cell. Since they are not hostile to me, this has become a great opportunity to gather information which is especially important because there is a pyramid on the planet. At this very moment, I am gathering information from a blue-eyed dark divine being woman who has brought up the pyramid. Just hang in there. I promise when the time comes, we will pay these scumbags back twofold.”

When Zeth finishes reading, he whispers to himself. “That’s a relief. Okay, I will wait here and endure whatever torture they bring my way so that you can complete your investigation.”

The Hell Rat picks up the note with its mouth as someone begins to enter the prison room. The Hell Rat then scurries back into the hole.

The person who enters the prison room is an unknown male dark divine being. He looks like the equivalent of a middle-aged human man. His shoulder-length black hair is unkempt. The man opens the door to Zeth’s jail cell and walks up to him. The man simply spits on Zeth’s face, leaving Zeth looking less than amused. The man begins repeatedly punching him for a minute before stopping.

Zeth remarks, “You don’t look like a big shot. Your punches don’t feel like one either.”

The man grits his teeth in extreme anger and begins repeatedly punching Zeth again. “You’re just trash!! You’re so trash that we don’t even need to lock the door because no sensible dark divine being would want to free you!!”

The man stops punching and continues yelling. “Once Project Sputnik succeeds and takes off, you light trash beings will be left with nothing!!”

Zeth raises his eyebrows with curiosity. “Project Sputnik? What’s that?”

The man punches Zeth one more time. “I’m not telling you anything, you piece of trash!”

Zeth thinks to himself in annoyance. (“I hope this guy doesn’t stick around the whole time that I’m stuck here. Surely, they must have someone else more interesting to talk to.”)

Narrator: Back with Sasha.

Sasha and Madeena are sitting on the couch in Ronzic’s personal room.

Madeena is now the one asking Sasha questions. “So, where are you from?”

Sasha thinks to herself for a moment. (“I should probably avoid saying something that would give away that I’m not on Ronzic’s side.”)

Sasha then speaks aloud. “I come from Planet Earth. On my planet, the light side won the war.”

“Oh? So that’s why you were being held captive by the light divine beings.”

As Madeena finishes speaking, Laura walks into the room and looks at them. “I see you two are getting to know each other better. Sasha, I was just stopping by to see how you were doing until Ronzic returns.”

Sasha replies, “I’m doing well so far. Thank you for asking.”

Sasha then thinks to herself. (“Perhaps this another opportunity to gain more information.”)

Sasha then continues speaking. “I was wondering if you could give me a tour of the area. I would like to know more about how dark divine beings live on this planet.”

Laura smiles. “Sure. It will be a breath of fresh air for you after being forced to be with light divine beings. Follow me.”

Sasha stands up and starts following Laura. She looks back at Madeena one last time. “We can continue more the next time we meet.”

Madeena nods. “Okay.”

Laura takes Falisa out into a hallway with a lot of windows. They are on a high floor of a building.

Laura begins telling Sasha about Pylon. “Truth be told, there isn’t much to this planet. At least not anymore.”

Looking out the window, Sasha can see how barren the world is with gray and black ground colors. There isn’t much plant life either. Mostly, just rocks and other hard ground material.

Sasha thinks to herself. (“It’s like the complete opposite of Flora World.”)

Sasha then asks Laura a question. “Is the whole world like this?”

Laura looks to her left at Sasha. “Basically, yes. Pylon is overall a barren and lifeless world.”

Sasha looks to her right at Laura. “How do the mortals live if it’s like that then?”

Laura’s expression turns very serious. “There aren’t any.”

Sasha’s eyes open wide in shock. “What!?”

Laura replies, “Mortals have gone extinct on this planet. The conditions on this planet are no longer suitable for mortal life.”

Sasha looks out the window again. “So divine beings are all that are left on this planet?”

Laura nods. “That is correct. The resources are scarce enough that even we have trouble surviving.”

Sasha looks at Laura again. “What do you do to get those resources?”

Laura begins walking. “We have a way. Follow me.”

Sasha continues following Laura.

The tour takes them outside.

Laura points out into a field. “This is how we get resources.”

Sasha opens her eyes wide in shock. She thinks to herself to avoid revealing her shock. (“What the…!? This is horrible!!”)

The dark divine beings have slaves working the field and digging into the ground. The slaves are made up of light divine beings and angels.

Laura continues. “This planet has such a gloomy atmosphere to it that it’s hard for plant life to grow. But we have our slaves try to grow whatever crops they can while others dig to find other resources… all for the sake of our goal.”

Sasha gets over her shock of the slaves and looks at Laura so she can inquire about what Laura said. “Your goal?”

Laura replies, “Let me show you something before I say more about it.”

Sasha follows Laura away from the slave fields.

Sasha follows Laura in the hallway of another facility.

Laura opens a door. “Take a look at this.”

Sasha follows Laura into a massive open room that does not have a ceiling so it is part of the outdoors. Once again, Sasha opens her eyes wide as she thinks to herself in shock. (“No way…! It can’t be!!”)

In the massive open room is a very large ship. But it’s not just any ship. It’s the Stargazer.

Sasha continues to think to herself in shock. (“They captured our ship as well!!? What about the crew!? What about all of my friends!?”)

Laura looks up at the ship and confidently smiles. “This ship is the biggest development in helping with Project Sputnik! With it, the completion of the project is in sight!”

Narrator: Sasha finds out how barren Planet Pylon truly is but she also finds out their ship has been captured! What happened to the other heroes and the crew!?
