Magic and A Conversation With Goddess!

About 3 months have passed, and I'm now 1 years old! I got a lot better at listening and comprehension. So much so I can understand half of the things my mother and aunt talks about. And I also learned what is my moms first name is, Azuma!

My sister said her first words by the way, it was ''Mom!''. My mom became very sentimental after that. Speaking of which, my sisters name is ''Roxy''!. 

''Ara? So her first word was mom?''
''Yes. I guess it's normal since her father...''
''What did I say about your husband, Azura?''
''I know know, but growing up they will feel the absence of a father. Even if I work and try my hardest for them.''
''*Sigh* Try not to think about it. If anything you want, you can tell me and we will figure it out together.''
''*While smiling gently* Thank you, onee-san''
She did not say ''onee-san'', that's just my attempt at a localization. Hope you liked it :)

That's not where good news end, however! My Shadow Magic Mastery is now level 2! I spent lots of time looking through windows to see random animals and their shadows! By doing that, my proficiency slowly rose and now it's level 2! And Shadow Sight is level 2 also, I have no idea what changed though.

Oh I'm also supposed to wear an ugly hat to not show my hair whenever I'm looking outside, I have no idea why since my aunt kind of forced it to me.

By looking at the skills, I can assume that now I can collect and store ''shadows''. I don't think they're like the shadows in my universe though, every time I look at an animals soul I get an unexplainable feeling. That and my experience with the ''Demon Bug'', there's definitely something more about shadows. I got to ask this to my mother or aunt sometime.

Also, while I was exploring the house I found a bookshelf! Normally I don't really like books, obviously. Except for the light novels that I found interesting.

BUT, a magical book in a magical world on the other hand... 

I don't know if they are magical, but even the thought of it makes me feel excited! Actually, I just had an awesome idea. What if I sneaked out and take a look at some books?

Shhh, it's currently night time! I waited all day to do this, though I never really got the chance since my aunt was watching over me -and Roxy-. But I thought, everybody will be -naturally- sleeping when it's night. It's the perfect opportunity to do some hidden training!

I slowly wobble my way to the bookshelf. The room is a bit dark, though I can navigate my way through touching nearby objects. There it is! 

Hmm, it seems a bit too tall for me. I should probably look for a chair or something I can use. I can probably use the tiny chair that me or my sister sit when we're showering, so I go to the bath and get it. After climbing on the chair and picking the most magical looking book, I start to flip the pages. 

It has a creamy white color and a very dark star shape in the center. The star looks like its drawn in a stylized scribble way, which is equivalent to screaming ''I'm magical!''. I open the book and there is -probably- a name in the first page, I can't read it though.

I flip through the pages and they're mostly stuff that I can't read. Flip, flip, flip, flip... Huh, what? The entire book is written in a foreign language, but for some reason there are text written in English alphabet? Fireball, Lighting, Wind Cut, Water Creation... This seems a bit out of place.

While flipping the pages, something caught my eye.

Spirit Manifestation! That is one of my skills!

Oh, the instructions are also in English alphabet. That is quite helpful to me but is English like an universal language in this world? If so, why or how? I can't know this for now, I'll probably figure it out as I go. Well anyway, no point concentrating on that now.

Let's see... I should think my about the being I want to call and put my whole being to that thought and I should be ready to use all of my mana. Wouldn't that leave me vulnerable on an actual fight though? Good thing I'm not on an actual fight then.

I do exactly as I was said, and see a holy bright flash before me. A silhouette brightly appears.

''Hello again, Genji Yamada. Or should I say, Sapriina Xalbend?''
Elea-sama stands before me.
''Wh-Whoa! I can't believe it worked!''
''Fufufu, under normal conditions, it would not be possible to summon a high-ranked celestial with this weak of a skill. However, I was watching over you hence I thought I shall give you a little visit.''

She giggles but quickly tries to hide it away. It's cute.
''W-well, it's going fine. It can be a bit too much sometimes however. How is your life on another world going?''
''It's a bit different than I expected, though it's going really good! I even learned some magic, oh wait you already know that.''
''Fufufu, that was also a bit different than my expectations.''
''What do you mean?''
''While you have been reincarnated as a dark elf, you still have features what would be abnormal to a normal dark elf. One being your hair and ears. And usually, the reincarnations don't pick up on magic. If they do however, they think it's too much and get burnt out pretty quickly. I'm both surprised and impressed.''
''Hehehe. Also, is the skill 'Occultism Magic' your doing?''
''Correct, it would be one of your blessings and a really powerful magical ability-''
''One of my blessings huh?''
''Uhhhh.''
''Well, it is among the most powerful magical abilities. And while it could be used to summon divine celestial beings, it could also be used to summon wicked hellish creatures. Be careful when using it and resist the temptation.''
''Wow, and how do I exactly cast magic?''
''It is mostly instinctual, right now you should be able to cast it imagining it really hard while putting your whole being to it. However, your magic comes from your soul. And just like every part of your being, your soul develops and gets stronger with each passing day. With time, you will be able to use it even faster than you have thoughts. So don't go so hard on yourself!''
''Wow, thank you Elea-sama! I think this answered most of the questions in my head.''
''You're welcome, my dear young one. It may also be appropriate for me to leave just about now, since divine work awaits for me.''
''No problem! I'll be sure to call to you again!''
''Well then, farewell my dear young one. I'll be watching over you!''

With that, Elea-sama disappears into the light...

...Geez, she really does have a sophisticated way of speaking huh?
