Chapter XVI : Holes

Darkness, Empty tunnels leading to God knows where. A worm would be digging around and would find himself in a Tunnel. This tunnel would be about Two times the size of the Holes that the Works usually make, It seemed like a far bigger creature made the whole. The work would squirm before going down below. Inside of the Mouth of the work you could hear a faint scream asking for help, Well inside of the Worm's mouth would be a large metal box with a destroyed door in the front, As we go back the lights would flicker and beneath one of the lights would say “Section 12”. Inside the Box Scarlett and Connor would be seen inside the train holding on to the train seats for dear life.

“What did we get ourselves into?!” Connor panickingly screeched, feeling the shock of One of the strongest aliens in the whole galaxy forces itself to the dirt of this barren planet. “Well Hold your butt, Because we are only stopping until the worm reaches its hive.” Scarlett Said loudly, the Speed in which the Worm was moving would Lower they’re sense of hearing, Similar to a bullet train. As they're going down faster and faster, Scarlett hatches a plan. “The Worm Doesn't know where the hive mind is, It's blind, so it's just endlessly searching until it finds the hive mind” Scarlett said. “Yea and? What's your plan here?!?” Connor said panickingly. “Well The Only way to find it is if the Mother Worm were to send out signals for the Other worms to come,” Scarlett said. “Be quick here lady, I kinda don't want to DIE” Connor replied frustrated. “Right! The only way to stop them from going to the hive is to Make it seem like the mother is dead” Scarlett again blabbered. “LADY PLEASE JUST TELL ME THE PLAN I'LL DO ANYTHING!” Connor said. “Stab something in the roof of its mouth, But it had to be hard enough to hit its brain. It will make the worm think that they're mother is dead, By getting rid of they're Feeling of Vibration.” Scarlett replied. Connor Frustrated says “does a bullet work?”. Scarlett replies “Yes!”. Connor would grab his Handgun out of his Belt and would start shooting, He would have the gun fully reloaded and six ammo would be in the mag. “Alright Connor you have one shot” Connor said to himself whilst aiming his Pistol at the Roof of the Worm. He would feel very Hesitant and nauseas, but Hope Prevails! His First shot was a success. BOOM! Something popped in the worm, and suddenly the Worm stopped for a moment. Connor would fall to the ground and start to Vomit all over, Scarlett would try to hold it in but at last she would also Vomit on the Ground. “Connor i don’t think you Stopped its Vibration Receiver, I think you just straight up killed it.” Scarlett said, “Good, Now let's find an escape, Because this worm's mouth smells” Connor replied. As They go out of the dead worm through its mouth, they would find a wall of stone right in front of them. “Great Now we’re stuck here for eternity..” Connor frantically says. “No…. No… Just stay Patient….” Scarlett replied hesitantly. “So what exactly is the plan?” Connor frustratingly says. “Just wait,” Scarlett replied. She would touch the Dirt and stone infront of her, feeling the vibrations of the dirt. “Ok what the living crap are you doing right now!” Connor Frustratingly said, as he panics trying to find some sort of way to get them out of here. Scarlett would feel something in the dirt, Heavy Vibrations that came from the surface, The Vibrations would get stronger and stronger. Scarlett would let go, before an underground earthquake emerged. “Scarlett what the hell did you do?” Connor panickingly says, “Just simple alien Biology, If the worms sense living beings Touching soil near them they will immediately head towards the location” Scarlett replied. Before the Roof of the Tunnel started to shake and the dirt around them started to crack, and the whole tunnel started to rumble. Suddenly in front of them another worm would blast through the tunnel they were in intersecting with their paths, Luckily Scarlett and Connor weren't in the worm's vicinity. “Seems like the Hive is below us… Let's jump in!” Scarlett enthusiastically says. “Are you nuts? We are not jumping in there, Who knows what could be in there? Hundreds of other worms could just be there, Heck i don’t even know what a hive is?” Connor replied. “The Hive is the home of the Worms, They usually live underground, That's all we know. But no actual human has ever seen this so-called Hive Before” Scarlett exchanged. “Well i guess we have no better option”Connor replied cowardly realizing he’s definitely gonna die on this mission. “Alright let's head in” Scarlett said whilst leaning on the edge of the newly dug hole ready to jump in any second. She would put one foot on the edge of the walls of the hole, The Hole would be curved so if they were to jump down, it would be more like a really dangerous slide. Connor would walk next to Scarlett and throw a glass piece from the train, throwing it inside of the hole. It would be around 15 seconds before sounds of shattered glass could be heard at the bottom of the hole due to the curved nature. “We’re screwed.” Connor said. “The Hole seemed to be curved so that might give us an advantage.” Scarlett replied knowing this is they’re only option. “At Least we won't starve,” Connor said looking at Scarlett. Scarlett would also be in fear, but knowing it's her only chance of escaping, he reluctantly jumps in first. “WAIT SCARLETT” Connor screamed, It soon dawned on him that this was his only option of escape. “Screw it” Connor said, Before jumping straight in following Scarlett behind, The Echoes of they’re screams could be heard as they got deeper and deeper into the hole.
