Second chance

I badly want to go home.. I can still go back home right?" when i noticed a fountain the one i saw in the room earlier.

I stood in awe as I admired the beautiful, stunning sight of the magnificent fountain before me. For a moment, I was lost in its beauty. But then, a new thought filled my mind.

"the water might provide a way for me to return to my real world and my precious body. "

Driven by desperation, I rushed toward the fountain

As I let myself sink into the water, the cold air hit me. 

At that moment, I was filled with hope. I could finally go back to my life, and clear my name at school. 

Suddenly....

"I can't move"I thought...It was freezing, dark, and terrifying. I got lost in time, unsure of how long I was underwater.. 

Someone is there.... silently watching me suffer 

It was extremely cold and absolutely terrifying. I lost track of time while I was underwater. 

It felt like an eternity, yet it might have been just a few seconds.''i was right..it won't work unless that's the lake'' 

Suddenly,someone grabbed me from behind, pulling me up and out of the water. I was disoriented and confused, trying to catch my breath. 

Drowning underwater was a harrowing experience marked by overwhelming coldness that seeped into the core of your being, and the mind-numbing terror that came with losing track of time. 

He took his coat off and wrapped it around me which I clutched tightly. 

''i think you really were hurt badly”

A familiar face ... He is probably around my age standing in front of me wearing a white suit with a necklace of the kingdom's insignia''what on earth happened?'' 

“Clementine,you may have forgotten but this is me,eriol,your fiance” 

''Ahh my fiance?” After I was told you were in a serious accident, making you forget all your memories,i immediately went back to the palace to visit you”he said as he flash a very sweet smile.(which I know was fake 

i know you are just like that now but I hope your memories with me come back faster”he said in a sad tone and touched his heart as if it's aching. 

What the fuck? I didn't even say anything! ''

 "that lake must link between this world to my that must be the portal in this dimension''  

The lake is all drained now''My heart filled with anger and resentment

''ah does that mean,you want me to fill the lake with water right away?'' 

''that's right'' I replied 

“i cannot do that'' 

''why not?''i said raising my voice ''because i simply taught so ''he said pinching his nose ''you kidding me? i slapped his hands out of his nose and glared at him 

''how dare you put your hand on me''he said glaring at me''

isn't it impolite to keep plugging your nose in front of someone I said

Lady clementine!"

''my gosh darn that lady clementine''i whispered

''i'm so sick of me it makes me want to vomit''i thought to myself I expected him to be mad but he just responded to me with a smile

''i'm glad to see you doing well I got worried a lot' '' Ah,I can feel the sincerity" said sarcastically as I pushed his shoulder 

"In that way you don't have to kill your self again"

I vividly remembered what it felt like to be underwater, "ah"I cluch my chest in pain

It was him

I suddenly remembered someone was watching me sinking from the bottom....it was him 

Shit!I'm having a panic attack!

how cold and dark it was. The realization set in that I could have died! This thought sent a shiver down my spine, causing me to tremble all over.

 I felt the fear and panic from that moment. "You ruined everything, my voice trembling with emotion. 

”Clementine," he began, her voice firm yet gentle, " How long have you been there?why?

You had no right to interfere with my fate.

Now, I'm stuck in a body that isn't mine, and I've lost everything I used to hold dear." 

''but do you always talk like this?''he asked looking at me confusedly”i dont remember you talking to me disrespectfully like this before” 

What are you talking about

''after having a death near experience,i have so much anger'' With the memory of nearly drowning underwater replaying in my mind, I couldn't help but shudder as I realized how close I came to death. 

 how it would feel to be submerged in the water, and the terror of that experience sent waves of fear through me, causing me to tremble involuntarily. "... I've come to realize that I don't love you anymore.

I smashed my right hand into the mirror, ... Still deep in thought of my memories, a sudden knock on the door brought me back looked up and saw my broken reflection. 

The mirror was destroyed as shards shattered and fell ''lady clementine,come out so we can talk''i heard catherine knocking at my door ''please open the door''she once again called out i glanced at the big door

''what kind of world lies out there''i asked to myself and wrapped my legs around my arms''im scared..im scared to death'' i didn't know anything about this world 

"I could have died!"

His face suddenly flashes into my mind

In the novel….who.was next ?the next king was....king elric? i heard footsteps coming near

''what about her?''said an unfamiliar voice of a man ''she was under water for over an hour''catherine answered to someone on the other side of the door''the doctor said she stopped breathing for a while'' 

''do you mean clementine died''he said in a shock tone ''no but almost''catherine responded as '' but shes forgotten everything even her own fiancee'she added as she keep slamming at the door 

''im worried she might harm herself again''catherine said in a low voice and then again smashed the door with her hands

 ''clementine talk to me''she called out ''clementine if you are near at the door step aside its dangerous''the male voice warned confused.i still follow what he said and step a bit from the door when suddenly the door breakdown falling into pieces as a sat down on the ground in shock standing in front of me is a beautiful man with beautiful silver hair 

"It's him" 

''he is so beautiful

'don't be scared clementine''he said with a gentle smile as he gently came closer and wrapped his arm around me''im sorry if i got you into this kind of situation ,i may not be able to save you but ...''he said in a gentle voice even his voice is calm and gentle 

Please," he pleaded, "don't run away. It won't get better if you avoid it

Despite my anger and frustration, tears welled up in my eyes. It was cliche and irritating, but deep down, I couldn't deny the sense of safety and comfort his words provided. 

"." Trust me and come out. 

The urgency in his voice made me falter momentarily, considering the option to surrender myself to his guidance. 

I looked behind him and standing there was catherine looking at me with her kind eyes how can they act like this?

they aren't real people right?they're just a fictional character from a novel i read or maybe my playful imagination..but how can their warm words and touch feel so real i closed my eyes and finally give up
